Pretty good but just took a class with Sarah (?) and it was so loud that I had a horrible headache and needed the earplugs. In none of the other classes has this happened. Turn it down, girl....

Took a class with Jacob and it was the best. I just moved to NY and was looking for a lagree class… I was kind of scared to try solid core because of the reviews, but I’m obsessed now!

Absolutely love the coaching team at Solidcore - and this studio in particular has something really special.
Olivia always puts so much thought into her programming - her classes have the most variety of any instructor I’ve taken. She’s kind and encouraging, and makes every session feel intentional and motivating. I want Olivia every day!!!!
Ian has amazing core series that burn, and his hands-on adjustments help you push safely and effectively. I’m addicted to Ian - can he teach more weekday 7/8am classes at W 57? I can’t make the weekday 11am/noon.
Liz brings the heat with her lower body sequences - I’m always sore (in a good way!) the next day.
Also love Marielle!!! Marielle’s positive energy, cheerful vibe, and quick wit make her classes fly by in what feels like minutes.
On top of that, Manager Geena has created a vibe here that’s so welcoming, fun, and grounded. It’s totally different from other studios (looking at you, UES) - no stuffiness here, just good energy and great people.
So grateful for this space and this team!!!

Highly recommend taking a class from Ian S. if you can. He is a certified personal trainer (most Solidcore instructors are not), and his emphasis on correct form is unmatched. I’ve taken similar workout classes where I felt like unsafe in that my form wasn’t being monitored. Solidcore is intense, and if you don’t do it properly, you risk hurting yourself - particularly your back. Ian took the time to write down each of our names personally at the start of class, visiting us at each of our reformers and asking us about our body, injuries, or anything else he needed to be aware of. Throughout class, he was great about adjusting alignment and addressing each of us by our names. Awesome experience.

West 57th Solidcore isn’t just a workout—it’s an experience. The energy in this studio is unmatched, from the moment you walk in to the final rep on the machine. The community is so strong, and the clients bring their A-game every single class. Coaching here pushes me to be my best, and I love seeing people challenge themselves and get stronger every day. If you haven’t taken a class here yet, you’re missing out!

One of the most challenging yet rewarding workouts on the market. Devoting at least 20 minutes of the 50m class to obliques/center core, Solidcore is a fantastic workout for cross-training, physical therapy, or as a primary fitness routine. The studio is clean and well-managed and the coaches are extremely knowledgeable while bringing the party. If you haven’t tried a class, they usually offer new client deals, like a buy-one get-one or 2 week unlimited, so give it a try!

It just doesn’t really feel like a workout? Maybe I wasn’t doing the movements properly (but no one corrected my form or anything).

Such a great workout and studio. Highly recommend taking a class with Victoria. I believe she is based out of their LIC space but does classes in midtown sometimes as well. Loving the Solidcore experience!

The most unwelcoming reception lady . Regret 100 times for passing by and asking. With such an attitude not sure will opt for this sport club …

This is easily one of the hardest and best workouts I have ever been to. The instructors have all been so amazing so far despite my newness to Solidcore. They really push you to go beyond your limits and “fail” but also respect your boundaries to the point where you can adjust as needed. I never feel I was pushed too aggressively but definitely felt motivated to show myself I can keep going.
I’m honestly so shocked at these 1 star reviews due to the company wide cancellation policy? It is written out when you book the class and that’s that. Life definitely happens but just understand that they’re not trying to scam you out of money. Just how the business works!
I highly suggest this studio - so clean and perfectly sized. It never feels too crowded.

Apparently there’s a late “policy”, not conspicuous at all, that you’re not allowed to enter a class after 5 minutes.
I arrived 6-7 minutes late after ubering from across town in stressful traffic just to get the receptionist quickly to let me know I couldn’t come in LOL ok, as if it’s a freaking plane. Really ruins the whole experience of a nice workout. I had convinced two gfs to come with me but tbh customer service should be prioritized, and it’s not at this location. So irrational, I’m not coming back.

Best workout class in NYC. You will have abs if you stick w it.
Late cancel fees are really rough though @ $40 if you don’t cancel 10 hours before. Life happens and you’ve already paid $40 for the class. Total cost of missing a class $80.

The gym and instructors are amazing.
It's a shame management is not up to par.
I had the same experience.
Had medical issues earlier this year, couldn't attend the gym for a few months, and I emailed to try and get credits back for months I wasn't able to exercise. Mind you, I could've made it harder and asked for money back, but I do, genuinely, enjoy their classesm
It's been almost a month and I haven't heard back from the "Client Experience Team".
This kind of service is unacceptable in general, but especially for the kind of prices they charge.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership, but there is no response about it. I remember when I was trying to sign up, they were so enthusiastic to get me to sign up but as soon as I need to cancel, there is no response at all. I’ve already been charged a whole month of unlimited access even though I am leaving America soon.

The workout is great, the instructors are overall delightful, but this business's late fees and cancellation policies (both individual classes and your membership when you get fed up with them) are appalling. I tried to cancel my membership 3 days after my monthly charge date, but I was told that the 30 day written notice meant 30 days + the remaining month, i.e., if you get charged on the 1st, cancel in writing on the 4th, you will not be prorated for the 3 days on the following month, but will be charged for an entire month. Given the astronomical pricing (which has only gone up and up and up since I joined, and the 20% off ANY memberships "forever", even if I stepped down from unlimited to a set number of classes, that they promised me after I did my $99 new client intro special no longer applying when I did, in fact, step down), you're better off just joining a gym and paying a personal trainer. You'll get better, safer, more personalized results, and you won't be paying $40(!) late cancel fees AND not being allowed to workout when you show up to class 6 minutes late after being stuck on a train.

My friend had a very bad experience in this place. She bought the class pass but was late for couple minutes for the class. They didn’t let her in or give her refund for the class, instead they just let her wait for 30 minutes outside the building. It’s late December in New York the weather is super cold you could barely stand outside for 10 minutes, yet she waits for 30 minutes on the street. She asked the manager how to get in the building and the manager replied that only class member can enter the building with a password after class begins, and she’s just a guest customer, she’s not able to get the password. Normally if you can’t get the service, you can at least have the refund back. However, the manager also refused to proceed the refund. My friend lives in Brooklyn, she spent an hour and half on commute to get to this place and she got nothing but wasted her time and money.

And I wish my feedback will make some change of this situation and helping Solidcore works better.

Great workout class. It's slow intensity but will burn. You'll feel muscles you didn't know existed! 😂
Update: Been taking classes for over a year now and it is still amazing how the workouts don't get old (or cause you to be sore the next day). Have had back pain issues that have nearly gone as a result of getting stronger through SolidCore. Highly recommend
