I’ve loved dance ever since I was young, but I only started 3 years ago. I can’t believe just how much I’ve grown in just those years. I’ve made lifelong friendships which will stick with me forever, and I’ve learned so much! The community there is so sweet and so welcoming, and I’ve always felt at home there. Miss Jill and Miss Marin have pushed me and believed in me so much that I can’t thank them enough. I absolutely love Spendwood, and I can’t wait to make many more memories there!

I have been a member of the Spendwood family for over 40 years now. I started dancing with them at the age of 5 with Margie and Charlene. I continue to be a student there, and my daughter is as well. My son took gymnastics through Mommy and Me, preschool, and lower elementary school, which was a great benefit to him. He is on the Autism Spectrum and the patience and understanding of the staff helped him grow tremendously. Every single staff person at the studio goes out of their way to make sure to provide a nurturing and caring environment in which to learn the discipline of dance and gymnastics.

My children have been dancing and doing gymnastics at Spendwood for 12 years. Everyone is very welcoming and kind. There is no discrimination whatsoever. My daughter often tells me the girls on her dance team are a second family to her. She has met some of her best friends on the team. She absolutely adores Jillian and the other teachers at Spendwood and loves to work with them. Spendwood has become a second home to my oldest daughter. She spends at least 10 hours at the studio every week. My family really likes how many different classes they offer. There are classes in multiple dance genres, strengthening & stretching classes, gymnastics and tumbling. There is something for everyone. Spendwood has a great dance team but also amazing classes for recreational dancers. I love that the emphasis is on the love of dance and not solely focused on competition. All are welcome here.

I’m so glad we found this studio. All three of my kids feel at home here. Their teachers are kind and patient and accommodating to all types of kids. Jillian has really gone above and beyond to make sure my kids feel welcome and it’s obvious that she absolutely loves what she does. There’s a lot of heart here.

My daughter has been a part of Spendwoods dance and gymnastic programs since the age of 1 and a half. (She started in Mommy and me classes) She is now 14. Words can not express what professional, caring and thoughtful programming they run at Spendwood. I chose to drive from Vermont to participate after researching may different gyms/studios in the area. My daughter was shy and nervous in the beginning and with the help of wonderful coaches Like Ms Ann and teachers like Ms Jill, Margie and Ms Marin she has blossomed not only as a gymnast and dancer but as a person! She has learned to push herself, have confidence and build relationships based on friendship, integrity and hard work! Thank you Spendwood!

We love Spendwood! We spend more time at the studio then we do at home! My kids never want to leave! The teachers are great, especially Miss. Jillian! She does so much for all of the students. She puts her heart and soul into the studio and the kids and we can not thank her enough! My kids spend hours dancing as well as doing gymnastics and tumbling!! I love spendwood so much. All of my teachers support me, especially miss Jill, who has been my teacher for years. I have done nothing but the best under her lead and she is an amazing role model. I have grown so much; thanks to miss Jill and miss Marin, I am more confident with who I am and my skill level. Their lead will always have an impact on my life, I am forever grateful for them. Spendwood is like my second family and has always accepted me as a dancer. Again I will say that I love spendwood and I absolutely adore miss Jill.

They are not well versed in working with high strung, yet very willing and dedicated students. Age of 3 being a factor, in of itself, should indicate to them, that there is definite need for flexibility and there should be an expectation of an actual investment of work and patience assumed! Proceed at your own risk...because they refuse to refund when they make the decision to randomly terminate your child!

I danced at spendwood for nine years. It was a great experience up until my last two years. I did gymnastics for six years but because of my height I was kept in classes with younger kids that I always knew more then. I knew had to do a front flip and front walk over and never experienced anymore. I give all my appreciation to Mrs.Nicole she was absolutely amazing and always had great costumes, attitude and love for her students. I wish I could say the same for Jillian. Once she started taking over my experience made me start slowing down. I took Jazz with her and while practicing I messed up a jump and tore muscles in my foot and had to be out of class for a month. She watched me hurt myself in her class and I got up and kept going. I limped out of the studio and ended up with a crutches and a boot. She told me that instead of missing class I should of sat on the floor and watched. She also ran the Christmas shoes and the same girls every year which were also the same ladies who watched her kids and did her favors. Got the leads and positions as helpers. She never understood my medical issues when I had to miss class and only heard “ I didn’t come”. Jillian was the reason I quit. I was also talked about in class when I wasn’t there saying not surprising I didn’t show up or missed a day. Charlene will be dearly missed as she was the one who made you smile when you walked through the door. Also Miss Jamie was an Amazing tap teacher aswell.

I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old. Both of my girls love their gymnastic teachers and time. Charlene at the front dest is always very kind and will answer any questions you may have. She has personally helped me with many of my questions and even showed me some techniques for my daughter. My 3 year old absoutely loves her gymnastic teacher ms ann. Infact she likes her so much we had to go out and buy a ms ann Sweat suit just like her. Lol. My 7 year old struggles a little since this is her first year since mommy and me and i voiced some concerns about her and the teacher being so kind made up a special list of strengthening exercises to do at home and that will be worked on during class to help build her up and progress her. I will be signing both of my girls up for dance and again gymnastics next year due to the fact that i feel my girls and myself are respected and treated fairly and i personally love how comfortable i feel and love seeing my girls so happy and excited for their gymnastic class. This place is fantastic! The teachers are wonderful. If you are looking to enroll a small child or are an adult looking to rekindle a childhood love - I highly recommend you give them a try.
