This is hands down my favorite gym in the area! Jimmy, the manager, is fantastic—he always takes care of me and goes above and beyond. Jimmy is also an incredible personal trainer. The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and has a great vibe. Highly recommend!

Leaving this review solely for the service of my man Jimmy. He is the man and made is so easy and welcoming to become apart of SPORTIME. Had to signup after the way he treated me. Gym is awesome as well

Just sharing publicly how much SportsTime Quogue has changed my life. As a mom of 3 taking time to take care of yourself both physically and with hobbies is hard. Due to the childcare that SportsTime offers I am able to work about 4x per week and play tennis weekly. Huge shout out to the wonderful team of coaches and instructors: Tim, Debbie, Suzie, Aimee, Rachel, Leon, Tyler & Erin! Thank you!

Love this place. But I would love to ask for more equipment for the glutes. Other then that. Love my time here.

Sportime at Quogue has been "under construction" since September 2024. Which has meant no showers, no sauna, and a maze to get to courts and exercise room. There are still no lockers and no upgrades that any of the other, angry members have been promised. The tennis program has been scaled back and the employees - although nice and welcoming are clueless feel similarly depressed about the situation.

To be clear, the front desk staff and the cleaning lady are fantastic—always polite and hardworking. I truly appreciate their efforts. However, the inaccessibility of basic amenities like bathrooms and showers is inconvenient and frustrating. The bathrooms, including the lockers, showers, and sauna, have been under renovation since the spring, and it’s now winter.

On top of that, the stretching room is closed, leaving the alternate stretching area overcrowded and overrun with step and calisthenic classes. Recently, I was kicked out of this area by “Ivan” (tennis manager) while I was quietly practicing my dance routine in a small corner with my earphones on to not disrupt the class. He told me I could return when the class was over—in 20 minutes. It’s disappointing to feel displaced, especially when there’s already limited space for personal use.

Sportime's exorbitant costs are enough to make anyone gasp in disbelief, with fees that seem to climb higher with each passing season. However, what truly hits like a brick to the face is the state of the basketball court itself. Despite the hefty price tag, the court is often poorly managed, resembling more of a neglected warehouse than a proper sporting facility. The overwhelming stench of sweat and mildew hangs thick in the air, assaulting the senses upon entry. One might question whether the exorbitant fees are being reinvested into maintenance or simply vanishing into thin air. It's a stark reminder that sometimes, the most expensive option isn't necessarily the best.

Dropped off my tennis racquet to get a stringing job at 10:30a. They let me know that it would be ready today. I called around 2p to check the status and they advised that it would be done “soon”. Just got off the phone with them (8p) and was told that it was on the stringing machine, but yet done. Who knows when it will be…kinda sad.

Update: the racquet was ready by the next morning. Someone called and apologized that I had been told the wrong thing.

As a stringer, myself, I know that it’s better to underpromise in hopes to over deliver. Additionally, the last cross knot was placed in the wrong grommet when it is clearly marked where it should be.

I am an ex member of sportime Quogue. I recently rejoined the gym because of the upgrades and changes they’ve made in the fitness center and with cleaning staff. All new stairmills, bikes, ellipticals and workout equipment just to name a few. They have cleaning staff in and around the gym from morning to night. Clean and comfortable atmosphere! Thank you for the changes! 5/5!

Ehhh as someone who has been to equinox and lifetime in NYC and wanted more of a luxury vibe out here, this gym is definitely not as expected. Moved to the area and toured all gyms around the area. Very old and not updated. Gym room is small. Locker rooms are OLD. Steam room is TINY. Gives me motel vibes. Tennis is 10/10 tho since they are all outside.

We go for a group tennis lesson with the Special Olympics. Even though it's out of my way I love the drive and the place and the coaches. My daughter loves going and she loves playing on the computer so that's saying a lot for this activity and place. Clean facilities, clean and large viewing area to sit and watch. Happy and helpful staff.

I started yesterday with my all time favorite activity - tennis. As a physician I spend most of my time indoors and I deeply appreciate the lovely location and pleasant staff at Sportime in Hampton/Quogue.

Not so yesterday. While waiting for my lesson, enjoying coffee and a little chat at Warren's Cafe with my pro Vanessa and Warren, suddenly a middle aged woman in tight shorts and tighter shirt approached us. Without acknowledging me, apologizing or even introducing herself, she interrupted our conversation, insisting Warren had to change the order for the Labor Day Party. Her justification was once there are burgers, hot dogs and chicken, the members turn into pigs at a trough!

She paid no attention to me - a paying member - made no apology or effort to correct her faux-pas. She was rude, but some people lack manners and education I thought. I was going to forget about it since I was unlikely to interact with this disgruntled employee ever again.

I was wrong. To my absolute horror I found out that this unprofessional and disrespectful individual is the general manager: René Bond.

I have not yet decided if I am going to quit my membership. I would miss those pleasant mornings with people I have come to admire and appreciate. However, if this unqualified and untrained women represents the leadership of this sport club, I seriously doubt that I will want to continue being a member knowing we are nothing but pigs to her.

Each tennis pro has a different style of teaching that makes Sportime unique. I highly recommend taking a lesson here it is worth it! I learned more about tennis in my one hour lesson compared to other lesson experiences in the area. Also, the gym is always clean and the equipment is new. It is never overcrowded and spin classes are a can't miss here!

It's really catered to the tennis crowd. Weight gym equipment never serviced or lubricated. No new equipment in 5 years and equipment is beat up. Treadmill tv's barely work, no music channels just news. Treadmill belts never waxed. Water machine barely works, filters always clogged. Always people talking loud on there cell phones, especially in the summer. Southampton or maximus are better choices.
