Me and my son went to do his basketball drills on the half court they have at the Sportsplex in Jan2025 we were visiting relatives in Marlboro for the weekend so we paid for a day pass $25/adult + $10/child 12u. and it snowed so much while we were there uber wouldn’t pick us up we had to wait on a relative to come and almost didn’t make it back home in the snow in a 2 wheel driving car. Luckily a man in a big truck with 4 wheel drive drove us up the hill to our relatives house and we went down to get our car we left at the convenience store in the morning! Now we say we went in a snow storm to do drills🏀

I had my daughter’s Birthday party at Sportsplex and it was AWESOME! Great customer service. The party package was affordable and realistic. Jackie and her team were AMAZING! Jackie walked me through everything from beginning to end. She listened, guided and turned my vision into reality. My daughter had a great time with her friends. All I had to do was show up and everything was taken care of. The staff were helpful, caring, and polite. The facility was very clean. I would recommend using Sportsplex for your next Birthday party.

Newer to this area, I stopped in to do their free pass, and the lady at the front desk said I wasn’t approved so it would be $25. I asked if I could apply right there since it’s 5 am, and she said it’s $25 since she doesn’t do the approving. I personally have never had a gym, [especially if I was trying to recruit members] be unhelpful/non cooperative. The “I can’t sorry” attitude, which is what I feel like is the opposite of what a gym would represent. Leaves a bad taste for me, I think I’ll just go to Gold’s. Better customer service.

Sportsplex in New Windsors Preschool Program is like one of those hidden gems!!! You only hear about it from word of mouth, and I am absolutely thankful I was referred! My son had a great experience learned a lot, made friends, had lots of fun and wishes he can go back but unfortunately now it's time for him to face the real world and take on the next big chapter in his life as a Kindergartener. From the teachers, program director, swim and tennis instructors to the gym facility staff, they are all Aces ! I am super excited to see my younger son attend in September and get a much earlier head start than my first son did. I would not hesitate twice if you're interested in getting your child prepared and adjusted to what a day in the life of a kindergartener would be like. We couldn't thank you all enough for an amazing experience and journey!

Ridiculous rules, can’t bring in your own life vest even for a child, couldn’t use kiddie pool bc there wasn’t enough life guards meanwhile which the kids had already started playing in. The two that were on duty well one was on her phone the entire time and the other was DJ”ing and they had to be about 15. The best was the main guy guess he was the boss in the stupid hat telling families their children weren’t allowed on the stairs, ummm so how were they supposed to get in and out of the pool? Had small boogie boards for the club but yet again weren’t allowed to use them in water.

We had my daughter's birthday here. It was top notch service and well worth the price. The party hosts took care of everything, which was a relief. The kids had a blast and I would recommend it to anyone. The facility is beautiful and clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. 5/5 stars

I’ve lived in New Windsor for three years and was a member at a previous gym about 20 minutes from me. I decided to make a change to Sportsplex not only because of the convenience of it being three minutes away but because of their tennis department and the friendliness of the staff members. I attended a Nick at Night tennis session and felt right at home. Jane and Nick were so welcoming, and when I spoke to Jane about wanting to change gyms, I was hesitant as I didn't want to pay a hefty enrollment fee again, and they accommodated my needs. I enjoy the members there as well. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. I love the steam room after a great workout or late tennis session. It's clean, and they have great classes as well as a pool and jacuzzi. It's not overly crowded like my last gym.

I had a party for my daughter at sportsplex. Everything was easy to book and to communicate leading up to the event. The day of the event was smooth and my daughter had a wonderful party. I recommend sportsplex for kids parties. Additionally, I felt that the price was reasonable and was a better option compared to the big commercialized kids party places that overcharge and are overcrowded. Book at sportsplex for your next kids party - lots of options too (swim, sports, etc).

I have been a member at Sportsplex for almost 24 years. There is something there for everyone. A nursery so you can do your self-care. A pool during the summer. And camp. My main activity at Sportsplex is tennis. I have taken lessons with Mark, Jane, And Andreas. I would highly recommend all of them. The junior program is excellent. I have taken yoga classes and worked out with personal trainers too. Sportsplex is like another home. The facility is extremely clean. The staff is extremely personable and very accommodating.

Not a professional facility. Poor staff verbal engagements. Poor cleanliness. Poor cohesion between the clients and staff/faculty. My wife had called in regards as to why we were charged $238.54 for not even 21 days of a membership. The response was to interrupt, dispute, and argue to my wife about how it was a misunderstanding and that they don’t know why it happened . After listening to my wife on the phone for 5 minutes and continuously hearing this women cut my wife off and not plead her case I got involved. Because it was my wife I remained calmed and collective. I wanted an unbiased opinion and spoke only on facts. The membership was for me and in my 21 days I only used the gym 5 times. Upon observation I noticed members did not clean equipment after use, did not re-rack weights, and individuals would place equipment on a bench and walk away for 20 or so minutes. The person had the audacity to say to me “I’m using that”, I told him to kick rocks. In the gym requires proactive training to achieve maximum results. Not to text and talk and play on their phones for 20 plus minutes on end. While on the phone with the staff/faculty they said I signed and agreement to be charged for such surcharges (I had previous membership and my wife reactivated it) for just using “weight room / gym”. In which I or my wife had not signed. Everything was verbal over the phone when reactivating the membership. Cornwall offers anytime fitness for 35$ a month and Newburgh offers golds gym membership for $20-30 a month (seems like better pricing for gym use). The fact that I have to make this post is ridiculous. No business or establishment should treat customers this way. I know there are many more that have not spoken up. 0/5 stars.

My 9 year old grandson loves it at sportsplex ...everyone there is so nice the staff from front desk to life guards r amazing ...so very grateful all these years n after pandemic sportsplex is still around ...it's clean close by to my house if not for sportsplex it wld have been a boring summer for my grandson n I...ty all so very much ...will b back again tmrw 😀

I'm sure as a gym it's good. However, do not put your child into swimming classes here. If you do and get Lina as the person who handles it. Run. Run as far away as possible. She's proven to be disorganized with the classes schedule, and is the absolute worst at getting back to you when you ask for help. Not to mention she'll charge you for classes your child did not attend.I will never recommend anyone to this place.

My family had a great time at the pool with a day pass. Friendly service, spacious facilities, lifeguard. Lots of foam pool toys and shade. Plenty of showers and lockers. Gym is spacious, nice and air conditioned on a hot day and looks great, although we did not try it.

I had a membership for 6 months before moving, and it was amazing! I had Alyson as my personal trainer, and she helped me tremendously. She is clearly trained and experienced in both physical fitness and instruction. I started seeing her 3 months after having major surgery (and with a 6 month old, 18 month old, and 2.5 year old). I specifically wanted to work towards the ACFT and to gain muscle in a safe way after surgery and being “out of shape.” In just 3 months, I was able to comfortably pass the ACFT and gain 8 pounds of muscle! After 5 months, I was able to score above a 500 on the ACFT. She created a safe, effective plan that was catered to my personal situation and worked with my schedule and changes. Her personal skills combined with her knowledge and experience were perfect for helping me reach my goals safely and quickly. If you’re on the fence about seeing a trainer, go for it and see Alyson! Sad to move away from her, but glad I got the experience!

Having been a member for more than 20 years, I never thought the time would come where I would rate the gym at anything less than 4 or 5 stars.
However, my recent observations and personal experiences in the weight room are concerning.
Examples:
- Exercise benches used by some as their personal clothes horse.
- More time spent sitting on stations texting vs using the machine

Then last night I had an issue where upon entering the room, I was going to use the bench press.
On the bench was a backpack and a jug of water. I looked around for the owner of the items and asked literally every person in the room if they knew who put the stuff on the bench.
They all said that they did not. I still waited another minute before I moved the items off the bench and did my routine. After I was done I removed the weights and helped another man who was waiting for the bench reload. Still no sign of who owned the backpack and water!
About 15 minutes later, the same thing happened at a different station. Again, I looked around the room and no sign of who put the items. I moved the items aside, and as I started my routine, a teenage male angrily confronted me, demanding to know why I kept moving his stuff.
Let’s just say that I disavowed him of his delusion that he could ‘reserve’ a machine and disappear.

I’m pretty sure that I can pay a lot less at a competitor gym for less aggravation.

They advertise free guest pass all over, I called, they said the steam was working but I could not use the pool, get there and the steam was out of order Drove 40 miles. My pet peeve is do not bait and switch me. Good luck with this gym

I am writing in regards to the Preschool Program specifically. I truly cannot say enough positive things about the Tot Time program and the staff. When my husband and I initially looked into a preschool program for our son, we were so nervous and hesitant. We had never left him with anyone other than family. We initially chose Sportsplex due to the convenience, but we really got so much more from entering our son into the program. Not only were we impressed with the curriculum, but our son has never been happier. Not only is he on parr with any other preschool program educational wise, but he also gets to participate in tennis and swim lessons during his school day. What more could a 4 year old ask for!

I have no concerns of whether or not he is ready for kindergarten... He is! The program director, Danielle, has put together such an amazing preschool program, and her staff is second to none. These ladies are more than my son's teachers, they are family. They say it takes a village to raise children, and they have become a huge part of my village. I could never imagine sending my children anywhere else. I am so grateful for Danielle, who answers all of my questions no matter how silly, and is always there for my family, and for the teachers who care for my child as if he were their own. I never question whether my son is in the very best hands because when I can't be there for him because of work, I know that this team always is.

I have been a member here on and off for more than a few years ( at times I need to change it up). The staff has never been rude to me and the facilities are always kept clean. The ellipticals in the cardio area are getting a bit old but I can see they are beginning to replace them. Most of the focus of the club is tennis but the fitness areas are good. If I have one criticism is children tend to walk dripping wet through the weight area in the summer when the pool is open. For everyone's safety, I think this should be discouraged. One of the most important aspects of a gym is how easy is it to leave. I am happy to say that with 30 days notice they have given me no issues.

The swim program is wonderful at sportsplex. I’m a non member and I was looking for swim lessons for my 6 year old daughter. I met Lena who is in charge of the aquatics program at this facility. I was met with professionalism, attentiveness, and honesty. After just 20 minutes in the pool with Lena my daughter was doing things I hadn’t been able to teach her in two years!!! And I’m proud to say that after only 3 lessons she is swimming without any floatation assistances. We have two more lessons with Lena and I look forward to this summer of safe and fun swimming. Between the one on one classes, the clinics and the league they offer, it has all helped my progress with tennis so much. The summer camp is awesome. All the coaches there are very supportive. Had to change review to 4 stars... Great gym but the chnage of yoga classes in the evening is troubling. Classes have been changed to 4:30pm and it's too early for people who work. I hope they will add more yoga classes later in the evening. It was one of the benefits of this gym that is now lost.

I've been members of gyms in New York, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland and Shanghai, China. Most recently I came from LA Fitness in the Bronx. Joining Sportsplex of New Windsor has been a joy. The staff, equipment and classes are all great. I am even rediscovering my passion and love of Tennis thanks to the tennis capacities of the place. My only, and I mean only small compliant is that I wish they would open an additional lap lane in the pool. This is also the first gym I've been to where the weights are actually put back where they belong.

I've attended a large event that was hosted here at sportsplex. It is a huge facility, available to be rented for any kind of event. The room that was rented was absolutely huge, it had a full kitchen, near by bathrooms, tables, chairs, it was well lit and accommodated a music system. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. Besides the room rentals. I know this place to be one of the best fitness centers in the area. They have a pool, fitness center, weight room and offer a wide variety of classes and a free trial pass. Worth checking out, for sure.

They have YOGA for children ages 5 and up. It’s pricey for membership, but if you want to get in shape and have an active family, you need to get moving, right? My only hope is better training for their front desk staff. I asked questions about children’s programs (2 different times on different days) and in person and I didn’t receive confident and educated information. I highly recommend their SPIN class. Woot! I’m also thankful for the Child Watch/Nursery. They are kind and keep a CLEAN environment (it helps with illness!). Thanks, Sports!

Great place to workout. This place has it all. Beautiful outside pool and jacuzzi, tennis courts also outside. They bubble up in the winter. Many rooms for spinning, boot camp, basketball. You can even hit a heavybag if you so desire. There are always people cleaning the machines. Sauna in both bathrooms and a friendly staff makes this a GREAT place to get in shape. Oh, and did I mention a restaurant?

This is a tennis club not a gym. Change the name or stop advertising as a gym. Extremely expensive rates for poor gym environment. Rates are double of what gold gym is and golds gym offers better everything
Employees are rude, really should not be that way for the amount of money you’re paying every month.
Gym equipment is out dated, roof is always leaking in the gym. Really made me wonder where the money goes from all the monthly payments they get from customers. Best decision I ever made was leaving this gym. If you are not using the tennis facilities get out of there quick! Also they screw you with the contracts :/ was stuck there for 4 months

Used this facility one time during my very short membership. Mary in accounting very nasty and shrewd would not refund my money after I requested to have my credit card removed. She was unapologetic and couldn't care less that she took what I clearly didn't have! I would never recommend this gym to any one!!

We've been members for the last two years and we have enjoyed everything about this facility. Their main issue which seems to be fairly significant is the swimming pool. There are consistent issues with this part of the facility being closed for one reason or another. Very inconvenient maintenance times are scheduled and the pool always closes earlier than the rest of the facility. I pay for a family membership and my children use the pool more than any other area and we rarely get our use out of what it costs for the membership. This is definitely one area that could be improved. Very poorly managed.

As a member for 2 plus years a lot of machines not working properly, typically rains inside the gym due to roof leaks, staff is rude and unprofessional and beware of the random charges to your credit card which they state is for "so called improvements" that never take place and are not stipulated in your agreement.. Keep a close eye on your credit card charges with these people!

I am a current member and enjoy the classes that they offer, but I have never seen a gym that doesn't offer 7:00 and 8:00 classes during the week for people who work... The yoga instructors and pump and combat instructors are excellent, but have never seen anyone on the floor in the weight room to even ask a question. Beautiful renovation in the locker rooms...
