This place is the best. The owners are wonderful and so are the members. I love the fact that after awhile you are treated like family. SCAC does so much for the community and other places. This past Christmas, the business “adopted” a family through the Essential Care Program at Hospice Buffalo and everyone at SCAC donated Christmas gifts to the family. They have donated memberships to local organizations along to various food banks. Now THIS is the kind of gym anyone would want to be a part of; not to just workout but a sense of belonging with no judgement.
Anyone has anything negative to say must not have followed the rules, or read and understood the contract fully. It’s the disgruntled person’s fault.

This place is not the best and is not entirely kept up, and the Gym owner needs to be more professional and notify you if something needs to be fixed with your account. Their access door is CONSTANTLY broken. I allowed a couple of people whose accounts were in good standing. Still, the door was broken yet again, and without notice, my account was revoked 24-hour access, and that would not have been the first time that has occurred with again no notification and no reason (or the door is just broken that often). The owner Gary Wannemacher is also not someone with a reputable history (google him), and unfortunately, I didn't do my due diligence before joining this Gym. Also, this gym is more expensive, with the same equipment and amenities as its local competitors. A simple notification or contact by the owner to inform me of the status of my account would have been sufficient, but instead, I had to drive the distance and find out once I arrived in the middle of the night that I was no longer welcome in the gym. I would have signed up for the other local gym with 24/7 access if I knew all this. Now he won't return my money and thinks 30 days of no access to the entirety of the gym is sufficient punishment. I pay for two memberships, and my wife barely goes. He just lost two members from ever attending this gym again. I hope anyone joining the gym knows and stays far away from this location as there are better options in the area with a better parking lot and amenities of equal if not better condition.

Absolutely love it here! Staff and guests have all been very polite and NOT judgemental. No one bothers you and you can almost always get a bench (at least all the times I've gone). Very clean as well.

The Sauna is not very hot, purchased a membership strictly to use the sauna and was disappointed after my first visit. Membership was $35 and asked to be canceled with a $25 refund. Was told they will but 2 calls and 2 weeks later still nothing. Would not recommend !!!!

It is a good price for what you get. They have a Pilates reformer, so I'm pretty happy. The staff are friendly and want to help. Th ed fact they are open 24/7 is a huge plus for me.

I really really like that the gym is open 24/7 to members, and that it is both secure and safe - I've gone as late as 2am! The machines and weights have been reorganized - there is a lot more room to work out. Its also pretty cool that they have a wide rock climbing wall, yes its not terribly tall, but you can comfortably climb using well tied sneakers. The saunas are fantastic - but heavenly in winter. The bathrooms are well designed, and the shower areas have plenty of privacy.

This gym has come a long way since it relocated a few years ago (I discontinued my membership just after they moved) - you can see that the owner has invested a lot of time and money back into the business, while also offering a variety of discounts to students, families, seniors and active military. In just the past few months that I have been a member new classes have been added, the driveway improved, and the internet speed has been boosted (I watch Netflix while on the treadmill during 'off hours' hehe).

My only complaint is that the music they play from the front desk can sometimes be *really loud* at times (I say that at as a college aged person), even though most people are listening to their own music through headphones. Its not a deal breaker, but its annoying when ambient music overpowers your own. Anyhow, I bought noise cancelling headphones which has solved the problem and made it feel like I'm working out alone even during peak hours.

PS: The two 1-Star reviews were written by someone making unfounded accusations against the gym owner, and the other written by a family member of the only competing gym in town (so I don't see how the review could be neutral).
