From day one, I’ve felt completely comfortable and safe in the space (something that means a lot when starting or returning to a fitness routine). The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to offer guidance, correct form, or adjust workouts to fit your needs.
One of the best parts is the community. Everyone is supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in seeing each other succeed. It’s the kind of environment that keeps you accountable without ever feeling pressured. I always leave feeling motivated and proud of the progress I’m making.

The highlight of today's workout was definitely the variety of exercises that Mike planned as it kept me engaged the entire time. Mike guided us through a mix of strength training and high-intensity intervals, and offering quick explanations on the muscles that we worked. I felt challenged but supported, which made pushing through the tough parts feel rewarding rather than overwhelming.
Stoked sweats is an energizing class with an incredible group of people. Mike really cultivates a healthy challenging environment because he believes we can all do it. If you have not taken a Stoked sweat class I encourage you to add it to your schedule.

Stoked Athletics in West Babylon, NY has completely changed the way I approach fitness. Their small group personal training model is perfect — every workout is a customized strength training and mobility program designed specifically for my goals. I don’t have to think about what to do; I just show up and follow the plan. That is HUGE for a working mom of 2. Combining this with the supportive communication styles from the trainers and the easy scheduling system, makes staying consistent unbelievably simple.
My mobility has increased significantly, and I genuinely feel stronger than I ever have. Tina and Rocco, my main trainers, and Mike, the owner, are all incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and supportive, and the entire environment is positive, encouraging, and never intimidating. You’re always held accountable, while feeling that support through and through.

This gym is perfect if you’re looking to start weight training, or already are and could use a new atmosphere. It’s the first gym I’ve been to where I had a real consultation. I met with the owner, Mike and we discussed my current workout regimen, my goals, and my limitations. The coaches then put together workout sets based on that information. The coaches are always there to answer your questions, or modify an exercise you’re not comfortable with. I mostly work with Tina and Gabby who are both so helpful, positive, and encouraging. I cannot say enough good things about Stoked.

I checked this place out on recommendation from my run club organizer because I wanted to dial in on strength training to supplement my running. I spoke with the owner Mike over email for a few days to communicate my wants, needs, and limitations, and decided to go in for the free consultation. There we dug deeper into my situation and my goals, and Mike took the time to get a solid understanding of my fitness level to devise a plan to help me reach those goals. I came in the next week for my first sessions him and Gabby and was impressed by well-tailored the program Mike created was for me. The facility is clean and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere feels very welcoming and nonjudgmental. The membership is definitely a commitment, but if you’re serious about your fitness goals, it’s absolutely worth it. Strong recommendation.

I met with Mike on Friday morning & right away was so at ease. We discussed a lot & he mentioned the Stoked Sweat class on Saturday @ 9 he coaches. So I thought ok why not go & check it out. Let me tell you it was awesome!! Sure the movements were great & got my sweat on but what I noticed more so was the “community” feel this gym has. You didn’t just go in & workout (yawn) - nope not here…you were WELCOMED in to join a workout - to join a team!! BIG DIFFERENCE! Very very happy to feel that!!! Can’t wait until next workout!!

Gabby is truly one of the most positive, uplifting people I’ve ever met. Every time I walk into Stoked and see that she’s coaching, I know it’s going to be a great session—not just because I’ll get a good workout, but because it will feel like I’m training alongside a friend who’s genuinely rooting for me. Her energy is infectious. She’s always there with a smile, a word of encouragement, and just the right push to get you to lift a little heavier, go a little harder, and believe in yourself a little more.
What amazes me most is how effortlessly attentive she is. Gabby somehow manages to keep her eye on everyone, noticing the smallest details in form and technique—even when you don’t realize she’s watching. When I was looking for a solution to shake up my fitness routine my sons kept telling me to check out stoked, well I’m more then happy I listened to them, I cannot say enough good things about the coaches they are very knowledgeable, and know how to motivate me as well as reign me in when needed they are truly in to what they do and it shows I know that I DO NOT want to go into a session and disappoint whoever is coaching me on a particular day, that speaks volumes. I have been going to Stoked Athletics for 8 months and I've been working mostly with Adib for the past few months. Adib is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and is always available when needed to encourage me whether I'm having a bad day or a great day! I trust his expertise immensely and enjoy his company while following my fitness plan. He also does a great job correcting my form quickly especially if I'm tired or sloppy. Tina not only did great today but does great every session. Tina is always keeping a sharp eye on form and encouraging to push at the right times. Before joining stoked I struggled to stay fit and hold myself accountable. I had many of the tools to lose weight but needed the consistency and stoked is the best place for that. The trainers know everyone that walks in the door and always challenge you to do more. Mike the owner always makes a point to say hi to everyone in the gym whenever he’s there and check in on progress.
I have been at stoked a year and have lost 20 lbs and cannot express how much my body has changed with consistent strength training. If you’re looking for somewhere to give you that extra support and accountability you need to achieve your goals this is the place.

Prior to joining Stoked Athletics, the idea of a gym atmosphere had always intimidated me. I had no idea where to begin, a fear of judgment, zero knowledge as to what exercises were right for my body, and I lacked the motivation to hold myself accountable. After hearing such positive things about Stoked, I decided to give it a try and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Month after month Mike tailored the perfect program to meet my goals. He and every coach in that building knew exactly what I was capable of and always pushed me to achieve more than I thought I could. I was building strength AND confidence. Not to mention the sense of community and family there was something that couldn’t have been recreated anywhere else. I've been working out at Stoked Athletics for about 4 months now. The trainers have all be very friendly and welcoming. They are encouraging and want you to push, but understanding and compassionate when you're having trouble with an exercise. The small group sessions are great with each person getting their own space to workout individually without getting in each other's way too much. I'd definitely recommend Stoked to anyone looking to work out, but is afraid of traditional gyms.

Today was my second stoked class and I loved it! The exercises are a full body plus cardio workout in 45 minutes. What’s great is that there is a variety of skill levels in the class and Mike can instantly taylor any exercise that fits with your current level. Gabriela was super supportive today. When I told her I was uncomfortable with a specific set of exercise programmed for me. she didn’t look at me judgmentally she didn’t question why all she did was figure out another exercise that target targeted that group of muscles and encouraged me to complete my sets. I really enjoyed her positivity, despite it not sounding like I did, lol. I normally never work with female trainers because I found them to be harsh critics and overly judgmental. I have been going to Stoked for almost 4 years now, and it has been such a positive influence in my life. I was never an avid gym goer before and had very little knowledge on proper exercise, but this place definitely changed my mindset towards working out for the better.
When I first started, I had just recovered from an arm injury and had gained weight. Mike created a program tailored specifically to my needs and goals to get me back to where I wanted and then some. All of the coaches at Stoked are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and kind! I have learned so much about strength training and forming better habits, but the community of members and staff is the reason I have stayed for so long - I’ve made some great friends along the way and no longer feel anxious towards the gym. All I can say is if you are thinking of joining, YOU SHOULD DO IT. I joined stoked over a year ago and can confidently say it is the best decision I have made for my health. At almost 40 years old, I was nervous to start strength training but knew it was super important to protect the strength in my muscles and bones. I was scared that it would be too hard or I would be made to feel inadequate but that was absolutely not the case. Stoked is a gym for anyone to attend from beginner to pro-athlete. As someone who had little to no gym or lifting knowledge I attended the consultation with no agenda to have a closed or opened mind but I knew I was ready for a free week at any gym so I went and I met with Mike. During this first meeting Mike was thorough and allowed for there to be honesty and it was clear he was there to make sure I met my goals, even after only knowing me for maybe 30 minutes.
After the first 4 sessions it was clear there was not only a world’s difference in my confidence and the way I felt after a work out. It only got more prevalent as I spent more time there. As an LGBTQ+ person there isn’t always a safe space to go and the way you train can be altered when you feel unsafe or insecure, this was the switch for that. Stoked itself is a safe and family like environment and gave me the confidence to use outside gyms as well. The entire staff is approachable, friendly and knowledgeable and it’s overall a 15/10 experience.

When I finished playing football at the college and pro levels, I took some time off from training. I had a difficult time finding my love for it again, until I reached out to Mike. It's probably one of the best gyms I've ever been to. All the trainers are so nice and helpful. It's a judgment free zone. People of all shapes, sizes ages, and backgrounds come here, and they help so many people through injuries, so you don't quit! You'll never feel pushed, only supported, and if you're pushed, it's good peer pressure! I'm the most consistent I've ever been. I started 11/20, and now it's 2/22! Joining Stoked Athletics was one of the best decisions I made this year. Everyone here is so supportive and I truly enjoy showing up, working out and being around great people. This is the first time that I’ve stayed consistent with a program after trying CrossFit, Orangetheory, home workouts, and commercial gyms. Stoked Athletics is an incredible gym located in West Babylon. I highly recommend it with 10/10 stars to anyone searching for intimate, tailored and overall high end experience. The trainers are patient, kind and more than willing to work through any and all hurdles you may be experiencing as an athlete or even as a beginner.
As a surfer it is important to stay fit inside and outside of the water. In recent time while I was surfing I did a performance maneuver that hyper extended my knee causing serious pain. I was scared to go back to the gym in fear that I would hurt my knee even more and prevent me from healing and even worse prevent me from surfing again.
I spoke to the coaches at stoked and they were creative enough to be able to curate the next program specifically to build up all muscle surrounding the knee where my injury was. Since then, I have had no pain and I am no longer scared that I am going to hurt it at all. Now no matter what I am doing whether that is biking, surfing, skating, volleyball, tennis or rock climbing I am confident that the muscles surrounding my knee are strong enough that I will be protected from further injury.
Stoked Athletics has really changed every aspect of my life. I used to wake up at 8 or 9am and feel like I wasn't getting enough sleep. Going to the gym at 6am was never (and I mean NEVER) an option. I joined stoked about 7 years ago at their initial location. It was great then and it is even better now! I now go to the gym 4 days a week at 6am! I cannot thank Mike and the team at stoked athletics enough for all that they do.

Mike offers one of a kind training that gives results. Stoked fitness has helped me gain strength, confidence and knowledge I never had before. I tried the cookie cutter globo gym. Went in did some random movements paired with some random cardio and got zero results. I tried copying other people's routines and got zero results. Frustration would lead me to quit early on. And just like others I said I would get back on fitness train and start over. I did. Too many times to count. I hated what I was doing.
Fast forward a few years and I met Mike Bouranis of Stoked Athletics. I was skeptical of course and figured this would be like all my other attempts. However during our initial eval I realized Mike was serious and this time would be different. He asked me questions that mattered. Talked about my goals. Listened to my gym history. Since that day we have been jiveing.
Mike was able to make me a custom work out geared towards my goals. No I didn't see results in 1 week or 1 month. But I stuck to it. Slowly I felt the change in my body. Movements I couldn't do before, I was now able to do. Goals were being set and met. I sometimes laugh picturing myself at a gym confused and doing as many bicep workouts as possible. No matter how much I did it never yielded results. Now I can go in and I'm excited to workout and to crush it.

Training for two years on my own I had hit plateaus of 140lb bench press, 250lb deadlift, and 250lb squat. After a year with Stoked Athletics these numbers are now 190lb bench press, 402lb deadlift, and a 320lb deadlift. A lot of people focus on numbers and I think these speak for themselves.

Each time I leave here I feel like I am getting a jump start in my motivation. The energy inside Stoked is in no better way to describe besides fun and healthy. At a lot of other places people are working out yes, but the environment doesn't feel all that healthy; like people still aren't really treating themselves right. I learned to work hard and push myself for no other sake then getting just bit better for me. This wasn't something I was taught or forced fed to think but something that happened through osmosis while being there (maybe its the no mirrors thing). Mike my coach is super knowledgable and just a great human.
