Sophie recently asked the class, "why are you here?", to wich I gave a sarcastic response. What I wish I would have said is, because it works!
I'm up to 6 classes a week now. 6 different instructors, all of which have their own way of keeping each class fun but challenging.
I'm about a 5 out of 10 skill level with some physical limitations. If you are a beginner, it's a wonderful place to learn. If you are looking to explore and expand your practice, you can't go wrong with any class you choose.

Amazing instructor, Jen, who took our time with us as we were new to yoga yet signed up for the masterclass. It was so peaceful, her voice was soothing, the exercises made my body feel amazing! I'll definitely be back, thank you Jen!

The studio is so welcoming, and Jennifer Savastino is a wonderful teacher. No matter how I'm feeling when I attend class, I leave feeling much, much better and I'm given permission to "bring the yoga to me" rather than strive for something that's not in my body on any given day.

My son and I both enjoyed Sophie's teaching style. The pace was great because it allowed some dwell time to understand the movement before going to the next one. The 90 minute session was daunting but flew by. Sophie's personality is awesome. Love that she is competent and confident in her teaching but doesn't take herself too seriously. She laughed heartily at all her own jokes which made us laugh too. Great music as well! All around great experience.

I came in tensed. I tend to carry stress around, so I'm typically wound tightly. From the moment I enter your site, there was a calming aura to the establishment. Once I entered the studio, I was greeted warmly. The session was presented wonderfully by a knowledgeable instructor who took the time to ensure each person was getting the most from their session. I left feeling so much more at peace than before I arrived!!! Thank you! I look forward to my next visit!

First time at Syracuse Yoga and Whitney is someone who makes you feel comfortable and a joy to be around! She knew it was my first time there and checked in with me to make sure I understood my options for transitions before moving on. Whitney definitely has a calming presence to her and I would recommend her to everyone!

Hard to find (-0.5), the address on the website should say look for the suite number and expect to drive around back of the B.D. loading docks. Better signage would really help too.
Instructor Lauri was very helpful. She talked me onto the building, and her instruction style was great. I loved how she was able to tailor to everyone's skill level in the class with her "listen to your body" guidance. I loved everything once I got in the door.

I love this studio. As someone who works from home, Syracuse Yoga has become my in-person community. It’s the place I come to feel welcome, to see familiar faces and chat, and to feel grounded in the present.
I’ve been a monthly member for nearly a year now. I can attest that regularly attending classes like Myofascial Release and Yin has increased my awareness of what’s happening with my body, allowing me to find the stretch that’s going to make me feel better in my everyday life.
Shoutout to Sophie, Renee, Sam, Felicia, and Kelly for teaching classes that keep me craving the next one.
Given all of this, it’s obvious why Syracuse Yoga is one of the reasons I chose to stay in Syracuse - and one of my favorite things to share about this city.

Very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
For an overweight, out of shape newbie, I did not feel shamed or disparaged in anyway, and instructor was very friendly and gracious.
Room decor was calming and pleasant with the large windows, natural light and an abundance of plants.

Syracuse yoga offers a welcoming and supportive environment where yogis of all ranges can explore and progress their practice! As a beginner yogi they offer amazing cuing on form and breathing, and as you advance they offer upgrades to challenge your practice or refreshers on the basics! Couldn’t recommend Syracuse yoga more!

This is by far my favorite yoga studio I've ever been to, even after living in different states around the country and trying all the yoga studios in the Syracuse area. Their regular schedule is great, and Sophie is a kind soul. I especially love that there's routinely a number of special events and classes. My favorites were the sleep yoga in the salt room at the float center and the mysofascial release event. I appreciated the variety in that I could have a relaxing time or get good exercise. As a bigger person, I've always felt welcomed and never felt judged or pushed beyond my body's limits at any class. I'd love to go to one of the retreats in the future.

I checked the spot out a few days ago. It was tricky to gps myself there and I ended up at byrne dairy. I was about to give up but then I saw a huge tractor trailer that said hope on it. So I gave it another shot. Even as I walked through the door I began to feel very excited the way I used to at a special few studios back home. It felt familiar and I loved reading the cards in the entry for a few moments. I met a wonderful girl named Sam who was so welcoming. My class yesterday was a gentle and beautiful one. I have spent a lot of time practicing in ways other than my asana but I begin to feel ready. I was going to another studio that is wonderful but creates too much heat in me so that I don't listen to my body and be gentle. Today was a BEAUTIFUL, JOYFUL and CHALLENGING class on even subtle levels. I felt so thankful to have the space to 'listen' to the body but also feel the edge of heat and growth and not be too serious. I loved it. Allll that is why :) so happy and excited to have a new place to explore. I hope this wasn't too much! ❤️❤️❤️

I enjoyed the combination of strength training and yoga in the Empower class. I liked that we did movements that would complement my regular yoga practice and work different muscle groups that sometimes get overlooked. There is great community, and I'm looking forward to trying the other classes next time I'm in town visiting my family! My teacher was relatively new, but she had great energy and have a really good class. I am glad to have found a new, go-to yoga studio for my visits to Syracuse.

Syracuse Yoga offers classes that are dynamic and flexible. Classes offered for every level of yoga. So, whether you’ve been practicing yoga for decades, years or just days- there is something for EveryBODY. Yoga is such a powerful tool for tapping back into our true essence- one that is often distorted throughout the chaotic tremble of daily life. Dedicating a few hours a week, to yourself, is so important if we want to function at our highest capacity. Every time I go to class, I’m able to hit the reset button and alignment of body, mind and soul is attained.
No matter what your schedule is like or what kind of yoga you enjoy practicing, Syracuse Yoga has it all.

Wonderful and welcoming facility, fabulous instructor, and I was provided with the necessary equipment for the practice, and it was a very calming and soothing environment. This was my first formal practice ever, and I was very nervous, but left feeling absolutely amazing. The use of essential oils was super awesome as well! I happened to strike up a conversation with one of the other attendees afterwards and our conversation ended with a very loving & sweet hug (which I mention to give an idea of the great community of people you’ll meet in this studio). Overall, it is an amazing facility full of wonderful, kind, genuine people. I will definitely be signing up for more classes and inviting my friends! Thank you!

This is the best yoga studio in Syracuse!!! A variety of teachers and classes means that you are always learning something new about your own body and finding new ways to challenge yourself. The studio’s slogan, “Yoga is for everyBODY” is lived out during every class. Whether you just want to de-stress from a busy workday by focusing on your breathing for an hour or you’re motivated to gracefully shoot back into chaturanga from crow pose or even so much as learn a headstand (without kickies), then this is the place for you. The Syracuse yoga community is supportive and welcoming thanks to the terrific owner, Sophie, and all the instructors! You have to check it out! I promise you won’t regret it :)

When I first got to class I had the worst head ache ever . By the end of class I felt like My head wasn’t so foggy & just focusing on breathing and my posture really relieved pressure from the bottom of my roots all the way to the top of my crown , katrin’s practice always helps me reduce stress , most importantly I feel like she was very detailed when speaking.

Due to a family health emergency with my young daughter I could not make the scheduled class. The friend I was going with let the owner know and I was informed by my friend the spot was filled. When I called and left a message about a refund or making up the class I received no return call. I called two weeks later and was told the owner would call me back. Luckily I checked my email and saw she emailed me telling me there were no spots left for that evening. I asked for a refund. She refused and said I could come that evening and she would squeeze me in. When I arrived the place was overcrowded. Overall I’m disappointed with the owner’s lack of communication and empathy.

Loved the space- it’s a great calming and accepting environment. I have only been to one class so far. Rebecca was a kind and patient teacher, I felt comfortable trying new poses despite it being my first time in the studio. It did take me a few extra minutes to figure out where it was because I turned down the wrong road at first, but once you are on the right road, there are signs leading you to the space- follow them and you’ll have no problem! I’ll definitely be back.
