We’ve been attending The Little Gym of Bay Ridge for a few months now, and it’s been a wonderful experience. I attended a birthday party for my nephew and was so impressed with the care and organization and attention to details they provided for the party. Every child and adult in attendance had a great time, was entertained and had a great experience! The space was decorated beautifully, the equipment was in good condition and clearly very well cared for. The kids all had a great time!! So much fun!

We booked the little gym of Bay Ridge -Bensonhurt to celebrate our son’s first birthday, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The space was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of activities prepared for the children. The staff was incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with children. My daughter has been going to Little Gym for years now and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. We first signed up when my daughter was a toddler and we attended classes with parent present. She is now 5 and has learned so much in her time at the little gym. She is always excited to go and has lots of fun.
The gym is clean, temperature is always comfortable no matter the weather outside, the instruction in class is incredible - kids engage in physical activities of all kind but also learn in a fun way, colors, letters, rules and discipline. All instructors I have met throughout the years were professional, attentive and always ready to accommodate.
The management and administration is great as well, all communication is clear, I never had trouble reaching out over the phone or text. Any time I had concerns or issues, team was always very responsive and I actually noticed the difference.

They give you make-ups which is so convenient with kids getting sick or any changes in the schedule. They occasionally have parties and special events for kids and my daughter loves those. I even brought her to the summer camp once and she was so happy.
Over the years we have tried other places, gyms, pools, taekwondo and I have never been as satisfied as here. The convenience of being able to comfortably sit and watch my kid, or work on my laptop is one of the awesome things about this place.

Extremely disappointed by the level of management integrity. So basically I came in for the first time on February 3rd with my child. My child enjoyed his session and so I signed him up for a monthly membership. After two weeks, I couldn’t get my child to want to go back (we only went that one time when we signed him up) and so I called to cancel my child’s membership and they refused to let me cancel without having to pay for one more additional month. I AM NOT EVEN ASKING FOR A REFUND I JUST WANT TO CANCEL MY CHILDS MEMBERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. I was told I need to cancel 30 days in advance so that I have to pay for one more month… my membership hasn’t even been active for 30 days for that to even be possible????. So that basically means after signing up, you are locked in for 2
months as it’s not possible to cancel before the second month. This is extremely ridiculous policy to apply immediately. Listen I understand policies are in place but the fact there was no empathy by management after explanation my circumstances says a lot about the integrity of this place. Forcing me to pay one extra month is robbery.

Moral of the story, be very sure your child wants to sign up and make sure you initiate cancellations at least one month in advance. Don’t expect any favors.

While the staff are very friendly Liam the franchisee is terrible. We sent our daughter there for years and paid thousands of dollars. When we decided to end our relationship after seeing a charge on payment method Liam refused to issue a refund for services not rendered. We saw the charge, called to inquire why we were being charged, and requested a refund only to be told they are not capable, not that they can’t, or won’t, but are incapable of issuing refunds to original payment methods which is illegal. He’s rude and clearly has no value for his clients. I regret exposing my daughter to someone of such low moral and ethical standards and will be scheduling time with the local PTA’s to share my experience to ensure families are warned of his illicit practices before entering into business with him. His business licenses should be revoked.

We booked our daughter’s birthday party at this location. It was easy to do it online and they followed up right away with a phone call. From the beginning they were very helpful and answered my million questions. They carry limited party themes, but since I wanted an Abby Cadabby theme, we had to bring our own decor. I dropped off the decorations the day before and on the day of the party, Vita and her team had decorated beautifully. We were very happy.

They provide pizza and juices for the kids. And they can order outside catered food for the parents. We brought our own food and it wasn’t an issue.

Our guests started showing up early and they were allowed to come in and wait till the party started. We added 1/2 hour which I think was needed, otherwise, it would’ve been too rushed. The staff packed up leftovers and decorations and cleaned the party room, while we said goodbye to our guests, which was helpful.

Our guests were aged 1 to 12; but I do think it’s better for kids age 10 and under. Still, the parents told me their kids had a blast. The kids go into the playroom to play while parents stay outside. So I would recommend you bring some light snacks for adults and some music while they wait for their kids and the main food came out. We didn’t think of that. We actually had them hold off on all the food till the kids came out from play and I didn’t realize that parents may have been hungry waiting for their kids. But it was all fine.

And the most important thing is that our daughter had a blast!

Signed up for classes since I had a pandemic baby and was hoping it would be good for her. Honestly it’s just way to overpriced. Also the timings aren’t great if your child is younger than 2 years old. Sometimes the classes would be around her nap time which made her cranky. To be completely honest I don’t recommend this place. Each class is literally over $30 a class which is very expensive for a 45 min class. Majority of the class the kids just run around so it’s not worth it. I have found that my daughter enjoys indoor parks so much more which cost about $20 with a lot more fun activities Which works better for me because I can go whenever I want so I don’t feel pressured to have my kid ready at a certain time. If your child is young you know it’s hard to stick to a schedule most of the time. Also, Like other reviews mentioned the front desk makes passive aggressive remarks and I don’t feel comfortable asking him any questions which shouldn’t be the case. I would feel comfortable even calling if I needed to change the day of the class.

This place is awesome, in 2018 we were looking for an activity based class for our daughter to learn and develop skills. Thank goodness we found this place. They have a flexible schedule and the staff (Leon, Hara, Brittany and Izzy) are really awesome. They really give attention and focus on helping out each kid in the class and most importantly, our daughter has developed skills and had so much fun doing so. At the beginning he was afraid of trying new things, was terrified of the balance beam, for instance; after a few months he could walk on the beam by himself.

First of all I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after our daughter's 6th birthday we just had at The Little Gym. One word is all that comes to mind - AWESOME! Truly, truly awesome! Everyone of the parents that came to my daughter's party was so impressed with the place, and I couldn't help but suggest that they should bring their child there too -because I am that sure they'd have a great experience with them as well. My daughter has been doing gymnastics at the gym for almost 5 months, and we've never had anything but great experiences with the owner, the staff, and their learning techniques. Great class to kids and toddlers to develop new skills that are physical and visual.

Pros - gym is fairly large size for toddler to run around and get a good exercise depending on their ability. There are multiple classes offered throughout the day and throughout the week. Kids are grouped together with similar age groups. There is a viewing room in case family members join you. The gym is located on the 2nd floor and offer elevator.

Cons - Classes come out to $30 per/session if you choose split two payments. And for the money, the value is lacking as instructions are inconsistent. Some classes are taught very well and some classes, not so much. They follow a curriculum but you are allowed to make up classes within 30 days. Which if you miss that week's instruction, because they have weekly instructions, you are just going in for another session, not necessarily following their curriculum. You MUST pay to start class (which is fine) but when requesting refund due to dissatisfaction of the class, their refund policy is a bit complicated. You must give 30 days notice (exact 30 days must pass then you have to wait 3 to 5 business days before you see your refund). They offer open play hours during the week Mon-Thur from 12pm to 3pm. Which for most toddlers is a nap time. So unless you live around the corner, there is no value to these hours as by the time you get there, you get maybe 30 minutes. The gym is located next to a commercial businesses. So this location has a lot of cars double parked, no cross walk sign for pedestrians and can be quiet dangerous to cross when crossing the street with a toddler. Their glass door is heavy and difficult to open the door when you have a stroller in a bad weather.

Make up classes are allowed. However, if something happens to you or your child and you have to cancel (which most moms can relate to this happening as kids get sick all the time), the owner makes smart remarks or makes you uncomfortable by confronting you passive aggressively. Don't get to the class too early, the owner will let you know you are too early even though you had to come in early for parking reasons.

My overall experience here was not good. I felt uncomfortable multiple times by the owner with comments or overall customer service I received from him. Once I gave my 30 day noticed, the owner wouldn't call me back after multiple calls and message I left. Just had to call back multiple times before I got someone who asked me few questions to make sure I knew the cancel policy. And when you do get to talk to the owner, he doesn't let you finish. He interrupts you and cares about being "right" more than providing customer service. I mad multiple make-up hours I didn't bother to make up as this information wasn't even share with me once I put in my 30 days notice.

Any business that is quick to take your money but does not provide customer service throughout, make it difficult to request refund or make you chase for information regarding refund, I'd say think twice before signing up. Because the headache, frustration I went through... I wouldn't want any busy, hard working moms to go through.

The Little Gym is a great place for our 20 month old to work on his gross motor skills. We really like the consistent routine the instructor provides each week. Our son knows what to expect and is able to anticipate the next activity. Since he doesn't go to daycare, he has difficulty following directions during group activities-- it's a new skill he is working on. The instructor has been so kind and patient with our son as he is learning how to be a part of a group. And so far each week, my husband and I have seen a positive change. Also, he's been learning a new gym skill every week. He's getting better at climbing, walking up/down inclines, gripping, and even participating during circle time. Since there has been no pressure in forcing our son to participate in any of the activities, this has allowed us to teach him to join in on the fun without making a scene.

just had a bday party here
“It was the best birthday party ever, I truly appreciate it” said my daughter Emily 6 y/o. The kids got personalized attention in a safe gym area. There are no outside kids/adults during the party. NOT overcrowded/ noisy/ disorganized like some places we’ve experienced before. The adults can be with the kids or away from them in a nearby room enjoying refreshments. Both rooms have huge glass windows so the kids are visible and also supervised and entertained. The pricing is decent for Brooklyn NY, the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Will celebrate younger daughters there in a month gladly again. I came home without a headache this year and had a chance to mingle and converse with guests at normal conversational level! No Yelling or nodding politely :)) Thank you all!

Beware they will charge you credit card Evan if you don't renew for another semester and without them telling you. Sent my daughter for the first semester from September to December. We decided not to send her there for the next semester because my wife was pregnant and the whether got colder. They charged my card for 522 again in December. We love The Little Gym. My daughter has been taking dance and gymnastics there for the past year and looks forward to it every week. We also had an awesome birthday party for our twins there. It was easy and fun - can't ask for much more than that.

The Little gym is a place all kids will have fun regardless their gymnastic abilities. Kids love to jump, roll, skip and bounce and they can do that safely there. My daughter loves this place, she plays, learns and gains new friends each time she is there. Clair adores all her teachers. They are hard working group of kind people.
One of the best places for kids to learn and have fun at the same time.

I have two daughters in classes at the Bay Ridge-Bensonhurst Little Gym, and they both love going to their gymnastics class every week. The instructors are professional and very good with children. The owner and staff are friendly, respond quickly to questions, and seem to genuinely care about the kids. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely love this gym! My daughter attended Mr.Izzy's class for 2 years , we traveled all the way from park slope because he was the only instructor she was comfortable with. The classes are well worth their price, are always on a beginners level & the kids always have a great time while getting exercise and socializing.

My daughter is in the bugs class with Ms. Abrianna who is great with the kids. She is very helpful and attentive towards the kids as they are developing and learning while they grow. I wouldn't trade Ms. Abrianna for any other teacher!

My son and our family were delighted with our Little Gym Awesome Birthday Bash experience this passed Saturday. Kids, both- younger and older, had an amazing time playing in this awesome indoor facility.

The action never stopped and the children just couldn't get enough. The service provided by our party hosts was exceptional. They attended to our every need and made our evening stress-free, so we could enjoy ourselves. I would happily recommend your party facility to anyone having a party. I am so happy to have found this location, it truly made my son's birthday party an unforgettable event.

My daughter attended the Little Gym in 2014 and 2015, we started off with gymnastics with Izzy and then switched to karate. My daughter loved lessons with Izzy. He is great with kids and I highly recommend taking a class with him.

My girls really enjoyed the Little Gym. It was hard in the beginning but they ended up liking it. It is a great way to learn risk taking, learn new skills, and test their limits. I particularly enjoyed the diversity of the staff members as well as the participants :) It is a friendly environment. I recommend to those who are skeptical about it, to try out a free class, and see what you or your child thinks.

Excellent, fun, very spacious! My son is crazy happy taking Ms.Alyssa class. He is only 15 months old, little shy munchkin who loves to run around and imitate. I think its amazing especially for little toddlers. Ms. Alyssa teaches them such a cute little tricks, and new way to help them improve their little skills. Im extremely happy! Its really a fun class. We will definitely keep coming back for years.

My daughter has been taking classes here for a year and she has developed so many great skills. The facility is clean, instructors are caring and the classes are always well staffed. We just had a 3rd birthday party here and all the kids, especially mine, had a great time. The Little Gym made us feel very special.

Really spacious and CLEAN facility, which you cant say about most of the kids gyms in the area ( we tried quite a few ). My daughter has been attending PreK gymnastics and loves it. Staff is really friendly and instructors pay special attention to all the kids. We will definitely be back in the fall. I do understand concerns the previous reviewer might have but we really didn't see any of that. I feel that all the instructors are trying to level with kids depending on their skills level.

My daughter attended the little gym from about February through June 2015.
First the Positives:
The staff, with the exception of one member, are friendly and very kid friendly.
The gym is well maintained and clean.
My daughter enjoyed making new friends and picked up a few tricks to show off in the parks. That being said

I know you cannot discriminate but I was uncomfortable with the male staff member when it came to hands on (physical touching} teaching or guidance. He seemed to be crude in his manner when dealing with the children. I know its a gym and I do expect some bumps and bruises but I also expect better supervision. my daughter managed to get hurt more in a controlled and "supervised" environment than in outside play. Some of the exercises seemed too advanced for the children.
On the day the children had their celebrated success show, where parents were permitted in the gym area my daughter was promptly ejected and embarrassed by the male staff member for which he gave a contradicting explanation to that of my daughters. On the same day he permitted a young boy to hang upside down on the
rings and instructed the boy to stay in that position. No sooner had the male instructor
walked away that young child lost his grip and landed on his head...in front of the parents. its no wonder he did not sustain serious injury to his neck. there were many instances like this. my daughter wanted to attend come the fall but I opted to not sign her up. we will find another outlet for her. I am surprised by the glowing reviews the little gym has received.
