I have been participating in the “The Merkaba Method” since January of 2025. I like the small group size, and the fact that it is located between my work and home. Another, aspect is even though we are all at different fitness levels everyone encourages one another to do their best. My strength and flexibility has improved, and Dale is always on top of adjusting my work out if I notice any pain. For now I still have to work on my “hinging” hopefully that will happen in the next coming months.

I came to Dale last fall for an assessment and to see what Merkaba was about. His approach takes into account your goals, current physical condition and a path to achieve. A slot opened in March and I’ve been working with him twice a week ever since. I feel better, am stronger and more flexible each week. He has a good sense of one’s potential and will encourage you to reach it. Proper form is important, during class he watches everyone and instructs anyone as needed. At times we all have physical limitations, made aware of them he will change your exercises to help you heal and improve. He is very passionate, competent, dedicated and knowledgeable about his business…..all the while personable and friendly!
The facility is always clean, the equipment is kept in excellent condition and classes are always on schedule. Whenever I need advice or have questions he always makes time. His clientele are all pleasant and fun to be around. He is always upgrading the facility, providing educational opportunities, and inspiration in person and through emails. There community events for Merkaba members that bring everyone together to get to know each other. Always fun and very generous of Dale.
I can go on….bottom line I am very glad to have joined Merkaba. Feeling great, having fun and enjoying my life more…..Dale and Merkaba has improved my life immensely!

I have been a member of the Merkamba Method Gym for a little over 10 months. I am in my my mid-60's and until now I have had minimal exposure to or experience with gyms or training. My initial goals were modest: improve posture, increase endurance and make friends( I had just relocated to Bayville).
Although it wasn't always easy - but it was it was never unpleasant and always fun, I met my initial goals and now have bigger and better goals in mind. Not only do I feel better and look better, I think better.
Holistic methodology has always interested me but I had found other programs lacking. Merkamba blends all facets of good health good living and good being perfectly. I am so glad to have found it and I'm glad I kept with it and highly recommend to anyone considering.

Joining The Merkaba Method has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made for my health. This isn’t your typical gym. It’s a supportive, welcoming space specifically designed for individuals 45 and over who want to build strength, improve mobility and feel better overall. Each class is different and I never feel bored or unable to keep up.
The small group training format is perfect. It offers the motivation of a group setting with the personalized attention of one on one training. Dale, the owner and coach is very knowledgeable about strength training for aging bodies. He is warm, encouraging and genuinely invested in each member’s progress. Dale fosters a sense of community.
If you are 45 and over and are looking to improve your mobility, gain strength and feel better, this is the gym for you. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I joined Dale Stasco and Merkaba 8 months ago. I had never belonged to a gym before and once I joined Merkaba my preconceived ideas were just blown away. Amazing and life changing. Started there with a weak core and bad back. Now my core is stronger and I have no back pains. I have had many orthopedic surgeries and was having a hard time getting back to my many sports I play. That has all changed with Merkaba method

From the first intro meeting, I knew that the owner, Dale Stasco and his classes would be life-changing. I have a challenging medical disorder which requires special attention and encouragement some days which Dale gives every time with a big welcome smile! In addition, there are e-mails teaching health info, good habits reminders, member milestones, inspiring quotes, meal planning, motivation and Advancing Person of the month. He also hosts get-togethers and a XMAS party for everyone to connect. .
Dale is expanding this year to help many more people.
I look forward to his future plans? His enthusiasm and devotion are contagious !!

I am so lucky to have found Dale and The Merkaba Method! I only have positive things to say about him and his program. I started training with Dale about 7 months ago, going twice a week, and I can honestly say that my strength, stamina, and breathing capacity has dramatically increased. Dale posesses a wealth of knowledge not only about functional exercise, but also about body mechanics, nutrition and lifestyle. I am always learning something new from him. When I started training at The Merkaba Method I was a little scared to exercise because I was recovering from a shoulder injury. I joined the Merkaba Method in September of 2024, it was the best decision I ever made, and I have not looked back since. Six months in, I feel better than I have in a very long time. I am down 10 lbs, I am stronger than I ever thought I could be, nad feel energized. I am part of a community that has embraced me and treat me like family. They have encouraged me, and I look forward to every session we have together. I don't think I was ever in a place in my life that I was excited to work out, I started at 2 times a week and quickly added another day to the mix.
Dale is so knowledgeable at his craft, I really have a hard time finding the words to express my gratitude towards him. When I joined Merkaba, I was overwhelmed as a caregiver for a loved one with dementia. Merkaba became my refuge, giving me the space to reset daily. Now, I feel calm, focused, and clear-headed, and I’m confident in my ability to navigate life’s challenges.
I also have the strength and energy to care for my two grandsons. I can play on the floor with them and carry them up and down the stairs with ease. Walking 8-12K steps a day has become part of my routine, something I never before thought possible .
Merkaba has helped me make remarkable improvements in my health. I’ve lost 22 pounds in 10 months, lowered my cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure, eliminated acid reflux, and completely eliminated sciatica. I walked into merkaba method almost a year ago. I went in thinking lets see what this is all about, but not sure if I was even ready for it was all about. I did not sign up for 2 months later, when Dale called me to say there were only a few openings left. I went in with my goals being just to feel better, gain strength that I was losing and lose weight around my middle and frankly everywhere else. What I have gained is far more than my initial goals. I have gained positivity, a fun workout routine that I love sticking to, which I never have. A sense of community that I didn't even know I needed from a workout environment and most importantly I feel better. I have not reached all my goals but I look forward every day to achieving them and grateful for the ones I have. If you are afraid to take that 1st step trust me when I say that will be the hardest part of your journey at merkaba. The rest will be easy and a very fun positive road to a better healthier stronger version of the person who walks in the door for the 1st time.

I have been training at The Merkaba Method since February and it’s been one of the best decisions I made for myself. My goal was to look and feel better and it really has been helping me do that. The fitness programs are always interesting, challenging and fun. Each exercise is explained and demonstrated. They always listen and observe as I perform each activity. They are very knowledgeable, positive and encouraging. We learn about nutrition and they give us great recommendations if needed. Breathing exercises are incorporated which have been so helpful physically and mentally. I recently discovered I have a spinal condition and they were able to alter my exercises so that I was secure and able to still benefit and get stronger. I am grateful to the Merkaba Method for making my life healthier.

At 63, I’ve got decades of working out and training behind me. From 70s jogging and 80s aerobics and step classes to triathlon training and personal trainers, and everything in between—I’ve done it all. Not surprisingly, I’ve gathered some injuries along the way, caused by overuse, and often my own or a trainer’s (let’s not say stupidity; let’s say) over-enthusiasm.
I joined The Merkaba Method to get back in shape and to rehabilitate some nagging injuries/aches. In the months since Dale recorded a full assessment of my health and I took my first class, I’ve regained strength & fitness, and those issues have been alleviated.
In each class, Dale presents a combination of strength, flexibility, and cardio training that works.
Dale's precision and breadth of knowledge is astonishing. He brings years of tested experience to the gym and supports his clients through every workout. Not only does he recall what weight we use for which move, he also remembers all of our weaknesses/strengths and provides adjustments during class to compensate for them. While we train, he watches us carefully, and if necessary, offers corrections or variations on the fly to keep us safe.
It’s obvious that he doesn’t just say he cares. He actually does.
Dale is thrilled about our accomplishments and is extremely patient with our challenges. He is encouraging and boundlessly enthusiastic. For real.
Though we’ve all arrived at MM from different fitness levels, Dale finds a way to help us achieve our goals in a supportive and effective environment.
I for one am very happy. After a few months of training at the Merkaba Method, I am much stronger and finally pain free. What’s better than that?

I joined the Merkaba.Method after the new year. I hadn't been in a gym for many years due to injuries. I needed guidance and felt a personal trainer would be ideal. I started working out at the Merkaba Method studio in March on the recommendation of a dear friend who swore that Dale Stasco has changed her life. I’ve been pretty active for a 70-year old. While I’ve never been an athlete, I walk, hike and garden on a regular basis. I belong to the YMCA. I do yoga, either in a class or on-line. I started playing pickle ball 2 years ago, and play 2 to 3 times a week. I took Zumba and Cardiodance classes, and worked with personal trainers on machines at the Y for a while. But the one area of weakness that I knew I had was my core. Every time I went to a Pilates class, I’d end up hurting. Then I wouldn’t go back for another 6 months, even though it was what I needed. I knew I had to address this area of weakness, but wasn’t sure how. Then I had an unusual symptom that really scared me. My left arm would feel strange, almost dead, whenever I did a downward dog in yoga. The symptom would start after a few seconds, and sometimes lasted for 2 hours. My GP sent me to a cardiologist—all normal (after lots of expensive testing). The cardiologist sent me to a vascular surgeon—all normal (again after expensive testing). The vascular surgeon sent me to a thoracic surgeon. Here I had the least expensive test, but it revealed the problem: when my left arm was raised above my head, my pulse disappeared. The doctor explained that this problem was very rare in anyone who isn’t a major league pitcher. The treatment was a very nasty surgery, but physical therapy might help. I chose PT, and it did indeed help. But, after a number of months in PT, I had to continue the exercises at home by myself. I started out strong, but after a while I found the exercises mind-numbingly boring, and stopped doing them consistently. The symptom returned. I decided to give the Merkaba Method a try to see if Dale could help my arm and my core.
My plan was to work out with Dale twice a week for 4 months, then transition what I learned there to the YMCA. Well, 4 months have passed and I’m not leaving the Merkaba Method. There is no way I could take what I do there to the Y, because Dale is what I need. As soon as Dale heard my symptom he knew what I needed to work on. His knowledge of anatomy and physiology is incredible, but he also understands the importance of maintaining proper form when working on a skill, and he knows how to communicate what must done to achieve that form. Dale continually provides feedback during sessions: to change a weight, to tweak a movement, or just to give a cheer for reinforcement. His sessions build on skills learned, yet he keeps the classes varied so you never feel bored. He never starts with a task that is too hard, because that’s how you get hurt. Instead, he judges where you need to start to be successful, and then makes things incrementally more challenging. I am now able to use my arm in ways that I couldn’t before: I can lift heavy Le Creuset pots and cast-iron pans (I love to cook). I can move huge potted plants that I couldn’t budge in the past. I can carry heavy laundry baskets up two flights of stairs. These are functional skills that I notice every day. My arm is fine and my core is stronger (but I’m still not a major league pitcher). And of great significance, I just had my bone density test, and for the first time in 12 years, my scores are within normal limits. Working with Dale has changed my life, too.

I started with Dale in December, 2023. I truly never thought I could feel as good as I do right now. The Merkaba Method is unlike any other gym. The small group sessions/workouts are truly the key. The thing I like best is that Dale describes and demonstrates each movement in detail so you know you are doing it the "right way". He focuses on each person. After the New Year, I, as many others do, decided I had to do SOMETHING to be fitter, leaner, healthier. Oh and I do not like to sweat, do not like to diet, and have no motivation to go to a gym after work where I will feel marginalized one way or the other. Maybe this time, it would stick. My son called Dale, the operator of this excellent concept establishment. We set up a meeting to see if the program and I were a match and we were. Over 45?, Check. SMALL group classes? Check. Eat healthy but not restrictive? Check. A NICE BUNCH OF PEOPLE, no judging? Check. I can go on, but you get the picture. Did you know working out can be FUN and sweating isn't that awful. I was drop out with every format: group classes, one-on-one, on line, DVD, with friends or without. I began the Merkaba Method in December 2023. I made a commitment to myself to start a workout program. I knew Dale was the right person for the job. Dale is so motivational, extremely inspirational and he explains every exercise so carefully so you are can understand and do it safely and correctly. I have been coming to MM for almost a year. I was experiencing many health issues. After my first consultation with Dale, we went head on to try and tackle some of those issues. Pain in joints. After 3 months of driving by I decided I needed to check out the Merkaba Method. I had been experiencing very bad back pain for many years and had more recently had been suffering with terrible pain in my leg and hip that made it so painful to walk up my stairs. I had been to doctors and told I probably need a hip replacement. I felt I needed to check out the Merkaba Method to see if there was help for me there instead of surgery. Talk of strength training and members 45 and older felt like a good fit. I was 100% correct. Joining this community has changed my life. Dale brings his knowledge, devotion and desire to help make a difference in the quality of life for the members to each session and it is contagious. I have met wonderful people in each small group training session and we share ideas and support each other in our individual journeys. Best part is that I joined in August 2023 and I feel amazing. The small group personal training format is excellent. It combines the energy of training with other people with the focus and attention of a personal trainer. The workouts are thoughtfully constructed to target different areas….and they’re constantly changing which keeps classes interesting!!
This is the most consistent I have ever been with a health and fitness routine. I can see positive changes in my body and feel stronger than I have in years. Dale provides excellent motivation and support. He has helped me tap into a level a commitment that I didn’t know I had. I’ve just passed the 50 class “Bronze” mark and am looking forward to working towards the next goal.

I am a 72 year old woman who two years ago had triple bypass surgery. I saw Dale’s ad about working with 45 + adults. I went in for a consultation and I haven’t left! In 4 months I have gotten stronger and able to be more independent with my household chores. I move more easily and have no daily aches and pains. My energy level had also increased. The small group classes are modified to my needs. The people in the classes have the same goals …: to get stronger and stay as healthy as possible as we age. Dale gives specific instructions and there is absolutely no judgement from him or the other people in the class. Everyone is super supportive. Back in April I walked into The Merkaba Method Studio and met with Dale, the owner. I was totally stepping out of my comfort zone when I walked through that door but it was by far my best decision.
Never once have I felt out of place, too out of shape or too old. Dale welcomes you with a bright smile and positive attitude every time you walk in the door, which immediately sets the tone. He explains every step of the work out with you and demonstrates it before beginning. If you need something adjusted, he does it immediately, especially if it is because of your own physical limitations, which I have a few. It never stopped me from participating in class.
I have already experienced improvement with my upper back, shoulder and neck pain. I have suffered for years with it. I have done PT, gone to chiropractors, had massages but nothing “fixes it” I can say that with the work I am putting in there, I feel so much better and know there is more to come.
For anyone who is intimidated by a gym or who thinks they are too old to build muscle and feel better, I encourage you to make that call, do your free consultation and take the plunge, you won’t regret it!

I had reached a point where I was struggling with my overall health and it was impacting my ability to function day to day. I was compelled to reach out to a new gym that opened in town as a result of my friends posting on social media about their experience. That led me to an initial consultation and assessment with the owner Dale.
I felt very comfortable with Dale’s approach and observation with what I needed. After being in the group training program for just over 4 months, the results have been noticeable, fulfilling, and my quality of life has improved significantly. I have attended classes at the Merkaba Method with Dale for about 3 and a half months. Dale is fabulous. He knows each one of his clients extremely well. This comes from meeting together one to one and discussing your goals, and an evaluation of your physical abilities, such as strength and mobility. One of my biggest issues when it comes to exercising is consistency. This is not an issue at all with classes with Dale. He is extremely motivating and makes staying consistent easy. I look forward to coming to class. He also has been able to help with giving me specific moves that I can do at home to help with a shoulder/elbow issue. The movements are helping me feel so much better. I am some glad to have joined the Merkaba Method. I have gone to gyms for as long as I can remember, either as a solo act or to large work-out classes. These were done in conjunction with different diet programs on my health and fitness journey. Dale's approach to health and fitness was a breath of fresh air. His one on one curriculum took you step by step, guiding you along the path of a lifestyle change that was not only attainable, but measured in its approach.
Dale was always readily available, not just through his weekly sessions, to bounce ideas off of, and modify the program to your needs. There was a time during one of our sessions where i needed him beyond the program, and he happily shelved what he had laid out for us to listen, and guide, just as I needed him to be.
My approach to life, it's many adversities as well as its highs, has been altered forever, for the better, by working with Dale. I have a health and nutritional tool kit now at my disposal thanks to his teachings. After our program was over, I retained Dale to program workouts for me.
