This space is always immaculate. There’s such a friendly atmosphere. You can rent the open floor for 1 on 1 privates or rent the classroom for a group session. The Space is a fantastic location to cultivate your own pilates business. Hours of operation are very flexible, there are always plenty of apparatus available, and there is a teachers lounge for you to rest in between sessions. I’ve reached out to many different studios and The Space is the Largest and most affordable to my knowledge. Great location and great vibe.

As an instructor I love working at this studio. The Space is gorgeous, clean, and has all the props a teacher could ask for. I feel confident and professional when I bring clients here. I highly recommend this studio for freelance instructors and for Pilates students looking to find a private instructor to work with.

Their Teacher Training program is also incredible. I finished my certification through their bridge program. The schedule is reasonable, prices fair, and the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 recommend!

This is a great place for Pilates instructors working privately. Beautiful, clean and spacious. The price is very fair, and the location is perfect between Union Square and Flatiron stations. I can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a space to teach your clients. ** Also a private room if you teach group reformer/mat classes.

Come to the The Space Pilates Studio!
As a Pilates instructor myself I have rented everywhere in the city but this studio is absolutely stunning. When I first entered this second updated location of the Space I stood by the door shocked. I could not see the end of the studio.. All I saw is beautiful Balanced Body equipment and lots natural light coming though the huge windows. It felt like a dream. I am little bias towards Balanced Body since it was my certification program but honestly their equipment it from the top shelf!

Congratulations Britni for creating an amazing community of creative, kind and knowledgeable private and group instructors. I am so proud of you. Onwards and upwards!

The Space is drop deap gorgeous and is a rare gem in the city. I absolutely love teaching light filled space and my clients have been very happy in the year I have been renting from Britni. There is CLEAN and well maintained balanced body equipment suits the all needs for the contemporary pilates teacher.

Renting is easy and streamlined and the response rate is very quick from the front desk. If I request a rental, I normally get a response within a half hour and I've never experienced any administrative hiccups at The Space.

I love The Space so much that I'm almost regretting writing this review, but the NYC Pilates community needs to know that there's a better option right by Union Square.

As an Independent Pilates instructor based in NYC, I feel like my best instruction is exemplified when in a welcoming environment and with high quality equipment.
The owner of The Space, Britni Lariviere created just that in the heart of NYC. Her mission to help build independent businesses reward the instructors by giving them extremely fair rates , referral programs, balanced body equipment with a wide range of props, and proper booking policies in which the studio is never too crowded.
This rental studio also has become a home away from home for myself and my clients.
