I have been to a lot of gyms in my life and this is by far one of the best. Staff is always friendly and super helpful. They maintain a clean workout environment and the overall atmosphere is exactly what I am looking for. Tom in the mornings is always super friendly every time I see him.

Horrible management. They have been "working" on fixing the steam rooms for years. Recently they just took the rocks out of the sauna. This gym sucks. Not only this management can't even write real responses and need to use A.I. Check this joke out. Would not recommend.

Amazing gym - feels like a family in the way they support your fitness goals and all the great programs they offer for kids. The have Ninja Warrior classes, birthday parties and camps. Also Nerf War and a video game room. Unique and better than the corporate gym options out there.

This past fall and winter there was no heat for months. It wasn't until a member called the Town of Greenburg to report those illegal conditions that they were forced to fix it. The owner and manager clearly don't respect their customers. They can't be bother to even clean the place. The same dust is in the same spots. The cieling fans are disgusting. When machines break they take forever to fix. They recently raised the rates promising a squat rack and new benches. Nothing yet. Not even an ETA. The floors aren't level everywhere. They used to have mirrors that broke and they're not replacing them. The 50lb dumbells don't match and look completely different. They just changed the gyms layout and all.ofnthe squat racks are miles from a mirror now. Some machines are in the lobby now. All of the equipment old too. Did I mention they NEVER CLEAN....lol. Just look at the ceiling fans. They have about 5yrs of dust on them.

Machines break and stay that way for months. The gym itself is dirty. Equipment isn’t cleaned, floors aren’t swept or mopped. When they buy new equipment it’s the cheapest and worst option they can find. For example, new benches they ordered are useless. The owners of this place need a business consultant. I offered them my services to really improve this gym with minimal investment. They do not care. Understand this gym is a very poor example of a good gym. Don’t expect much.

My friend and have been searching for a suitable gym. We joined Planet but wanted classes. We checked out a few in the area and walked right out again. Nothing felt right until we walked into The Westchester Gym. From the second we walked in the door, I felt like I was home and with family. We were given a tour and met and talked with members who were coming in and those who just finished and we’re heading out. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We took our first class Thursday night. Every student walked over and introduced themselves as well as the instructor. They made us feel welcome and very comfortable. The step class was amazing. The instructor gave modified instructions for anyone who needed them without making anyone feel inferior. We went to a Zumba class Saturday morning at it was the same thing. People we didn’t meet Thursday introduced themselves and the husband/wife team who taught the class were amazing, energetic and super fun! I’ve been on a high since walking through their front doors!

I have been a long time member of the Westchester Gym . I have joined the gym since February of 2016. My interest are a mixture of weight lifting ,yoga, jogging, and swimming. A couple months ago I made a decision to change my life for the better, I joined exercise sessions. I took body sculpt, Pilates, Zumba, step, tabata, and kickboxing. All extremely effective classes. I have a point of view on all the instructors. They all have passed my test with flying colors. There is one in particular, my personal favorite. Izzy has shown my friends and I the meaning of talent and courage. I started working out at 13 years old. I just turned 30 this past December. I have never seen somebody who cares more about her clients then Izzy Marie!! This sophisticated instructor doesn’t speed through the movements. She takes her time to go around the room to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of what exercises their doing. I admire all that I have learned from her. I hope others can pick up from Izzy’s wisdom.

Nothing wrong with the gym in general, but several of the people who work and use the gym are incredibly uncomfortable when it comes to younger girls. The employees asked for my number and even found my name in the system to contact me privately. This is not okey.
After using this gym almost every day for 2 months I switched, because it felt more like the guys dating place then a gym. I get that the management can’t choose who use the gym, but the employees should have rules.
Even after talking to the manger about this (and more things that had happened) I still had to pay for 2 months where I didn’t use the gym because I didn’t feel safe or good there at all.

I canceled today because I called to find out if the basketball court was open and the person at the front desk hung up on me. The basketball court is never open and that is the only reason I go to the gym. A few times they said it was booked and when I showed up it was open. They always get annoyed when we call or ask about the basketball court being open. It's like they don't care because they are already getting your money.

I've been going to this gym for about 10 years now. It's my 2nd home and I feel so comfortable working out here. I've never had a personal trainer before and recently started training with Matt. He helped me so much and I learned many different workouts thats I've never tried before. I feel so much stronger now too which is awesome! If you are looking for a gym or a new gym to go to, this is the one and definitely ask for Matt if you feel like you need a little push or help with getting to your goals.

My experience at the Westchester gym has been unbelievable for the past 6 months I have been here. Everyone is extremely friendly and the staff greets you with open arms. Matt the trainer who is in the facility most hours of the day is always working hard on just trying to get members better physically and mentally. For the monthly price, it offers a great spread of amenities. I would definitely say it's worth it if you want more out of a gym without paying 100s a month. The repair cycle is definitely slow, the womens sauna has been broken forever. The trainers are amazing. The Westchester Gym staff and management does not respect health laws implemented by the State. Once a client has paid, they disregard all safety concerns including mask wearing despite NYS law requiring it. If you are concerned about your family’s safety during Covid, you should think twice before frequenting this business. GO ELSEWHERE I will be reporting them to the state.

As far as gyms go in the Western Westchester area, you really can’t find a better option than The Westchester Gym. The hours are tremendous. There is ample space and ample equipment such that I have rarely, if ever, had to wait. Some of the equipment is a little dated such as the plates, but that is a minor aesthetic issue. Perhaps the best part of this gym is the price which is phenomenal compared to other commercial gyms in the area. That, combined with the friendly service, has this as my number one recommendation for the area. The only downside is that I’d like to see more classes, but I understand coming out of the pandemic there might not be enough demand at the moment.

Where do I begin? $55 a month and all they did in the past 3+ years was put up 10 TVs that aren't even on 90% of the time. There's one bench press in the weight room! Maybe they could have allocated funds a little bit better for some more equipment. Then, once you realize you're being robbed, good luck trying to cancel your membership! You'll be getting calls from debt collectors regarding overdue balances and late fees. You can find a lot better gyms for a lower price around here.

I can’t believe I wasted 4 years going to this gym. For the price you pay it is not worth it. All your money goes into things that you cannot use or are useless. Such as the 10 TV’s they bought instead of a bench press, or the ninja warrior course that is only available for kids birthday parties. HORRIBLE!! NEW MANAGMENT CALLED WESTCHESTER GYM IS AWFUL. They charged my card triple the amount without authorization and there is a lack of communication. The new management are snakes, they are never present in the gym to communicate and only care about making profit. Horrible customer service!!! I have wrote emails and called multiple times about this subject matter to no avail. They increased the rate by $20.00, took away many group classes and didn't update any equipment. Don't bother with this gym. Go to a gym where management has decency for their members.

If there was a zero star I would give that instead. today I walked into the gym to possible sign on, since it was being promoted by my employer, instead I encounter the worst customer service of all times.
During my visit it appeared that the gym was being cleaned which was a good thing , however the person behind the desk was on the phone and instead of simple telling me he would be right with me, he instead looked at me and walked away from the desk to an office with a red door and simple closed the door leaving me looking bewildered. I joined The Westchester Gym this past November 2018, and I've loved it ever since.
My entire family are members, while my 2 small children are playing and challenging their Ninja Warrior skills, my husband is hitting the weights or taking the new spin classes, my dad (68 yo) is playing with his girfriend racketball and while I see everyone enjoying themsleves, I am proud to say, I am on my way to losing the weight I gained with my last pregancy.

I am participating in their fitness programs and I also have a fantastic new personal trainer. She has been very knowledable, helpful and professional. As of now I have lost 22 pounds. I have notice this fitness center is a hiden gem and one of the best gyms in the area.
Staff is friendly and the locker rooms are very clean!

I joined when they were Balance, but have since switched to Westchester Gym. The new owners are shady, they tried to convince me I signed a membership contract when I did not. They did not stop charging my card after I requested to leave because they increased my monthly payment without notice and cancelled a lot of classes I liked to attend. It took reporting them to my credit card company, the BBB, and another agency, and sending a certified letter to the third party they hired to “collect payment” to get them to stop harassing me.

Charges hidden fees that are not in your contract once they get your card information and it took the Better Business Bureau to contact them in order for me to get refunded because they legally can’t do whatever they want with your credit card info outside of the transaction agreement.
