I have been training with Dean for about a year. Dean has a big brain and a big heart. His training sessions are so valuable because they combine his extensive knowledge of the way human movement works with his ability to think creatively, and most importantly, care deeply about his clients. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Dean. My personal case is a challenging one. I was once very active until a relapse of Lyme disease and rheumatoid arthritis knocked me down hard about two years ago. Despite working with a wonderful PT, my progress was very limited. Dean was able to be more creative with my treatment plan, and that has made a huge difference. He has given me confidence and hope that I can turn this thing around and get my active life back. I would highly recommend training with Dean!

Dean is in his own class as a trainer and fitness professional. He has a deep understanding of technique and the ability to teach his clients not only how to execute the exercise, but also why he is using the particular exercise he is leading. He is a highly skilled practitioner with a special gift of imparting his knowledge onto his clients. He is a natural teacher who is continually exploring the ways and means of making training more effective and fun for his trainees. Dean has completely changed my perspective on personal training. I started working with Dean several years ago thinking my commitment would be short-lived. Nothing could be farther from reality. I have been working with him continuously for 3 years and see measurable results in my fitness, strength, balance and motivation. I enjoy training in-person, but have learned many techniques that are applicable when I work independently. On another note, I see Dean as an "old soul" who has a maturity beyond his years. He is kind, empathetic and patient with everyone and has the gift of being able to relate to individuals regardless of their age and fitness ability. I will continue to work with Dean indefinitely, and highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in becoming stronger and more fit.

Dean has made becoming stronger tremendously accessible. His availability is not just for individual sessions a few times a week. He makes himself available by phone for a consultation as well as virtually, which is a tremendously convenient approach . This extensive support and high level of accessibility has been invaluable to pursue my strengthening efforts when I’m not with him. He also encourages my independent workouts to enable me to advance at a faster rate .

Dean has been a tremendous partner in helping me to address my efforts to become stronger and more physically resilient. I have worked with him through a vast phase of rehabilitation through to independent conditioning with his continued advisement . He has done an exquisite job of adjusting the strategies within his plan for my program to accommodate for my ”florid” spinal history and knee injury. The amount of energy Dean puts into thought and individual programming is extensive and seems unrelenting. He makes a true investment in each of his clients and understands the science of his discipline with a remarkable depth and breadth. He is constantly analyzing, adjusting, strategizing, and literally inventing collections of approaches to work around my injuries to help me succeed in my strengthening journey. I have spent no moment with Dean that was not worth the effort. Even with my own periodic illnesses, at the age of 75, Dean has helped me to get back on track through his planning and through his efforts we have always moved forward successfully over all. Dean is extremely trustworthy and very careful regarding my vulnerability to help me still be successful in my strengthening and conditioning journey. Safety, accessibility, trustworthiness and a customized approach to my specific needs are a hallmark of how Dean engages in his work.

I started out focusing strictly on weight loss and strength but had injuries from the military and childhood that held me back in my shoulders and lower back. Dean provided a set of specific exercises to do whenever I felt the pain that cleared them up almost instantly and dropped my constant pain from an 8 to a 1. Even to this day I don’t have those same issues or level of pain because if his help.

As someone who has never been the type to go to the gym consistently, let alone work with a personal trainer, Dean was AMAZING! Not only was he kind, encouraging, and extremely supportive, but he knew exactly what he was talking about. In just 4 weeks I was able to see and pinpoint noticeable differences in/on my body and create new habits that are going to last me a lifetime.

If you’re looking for a beginner’s friendly trainer who is going to work with you on setting your goals (both mentally and physically), push you while still considering everything you’re bringing to the table, and get you results, Dean is your guy! 10/10 would recommend!
