Underwood Park CrossFit is an absolute gem of a gym! Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey as a beginner or you’re a seasoned athlete looking to level up, this place has something for everyone. The coaches are super knowledgeable and welcoming—they break down every workout with clear instructions and modifications to suit all levels, so no one feels out of place. The community vibe is incredible; everyone encourages each other, making it motivating and fun. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and the classes are high-energy without being overwhelming. I’ve been going for a few months now, and I’ve seen real progress in my strength and endurance. If you’re on the fence, just go for it—you won’t regret it! Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

At first I didn’t think I would be able to do it. With the encouragement and support of Michael, Aimee, and everyone else in the group, I have come to love Underwood Park CrossFit. I feel a sense of community and camaraderie. Plus, I love all the cheering! It helps me want to keep going. They have modified the WOD for me according to my capabilities. I feel I have gotten stronger and I feel pretty darn good! I’m hoping to go to the next level sometime.

So far my experience with Underwood Park CrossFit has been very positive. The initiating program is very thorough with 5 individual sessions designed to test and assess. This has been reassuring in that I know where I am starting at. It will also help with goal setting and safety as I begin classes! My sessions with Aimee have been valuable. She has been extremely helpful and is very knowledgeable. I am impressed with the variety of options available to achieve a physical goal. There is also a significant amount of help through text message reminders, emails and Facebook group posts. This is definitely a community that people enjoy being a part of.

I joined Underwood CrossFit about 1 month ago. I was so happy to meet with Michael as he asked me questions about my goals my concerns and expectations. I was very glad to take the recommended 5 “1on1” classes with Michael and with Amy. They tested my strength endurance and flexibility. They showed me every exercise we would be doing in class and made sure I knew how to do it correctly. They also showed me modifications if I wasn’t able to do certain things yet as I am just starting out. I’m excited to start working with the rest of the group and happy that there is a CrossFit trainer at every session especially since I'm new and probably won’t remember everything I learned 😊… I will be 50 next year I have 6 children and 3 grand babies… it’s time for me to get healthy feel comfortable my own skin and look HOT again!!!! 🤣😆👏🏼💪🏼😉

I dropped into this CrossFit gym twice this past week, and from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by both the staff and members. The owner, Mike, was quick to respond and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had the opportunity to take two classes with different coaches, and both were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and just great people. The gym itself has a unique and motivating vibe that sets it apart. I can’t wait to be back in the area to drop in again! If you’re thinking about trying CrossFit and live nearby, this is the place to go. You won’t be disappointed!

Love this gym and the people in it! You are always greeted by name and everyone makes you feel welcome. As someone with a physical disability, I was not sure if CrossFit would work for me, but I could not have been more wrong! They can modify for everyone’s needs. I highly recommend working with the trainers at Underwood Park CrossFit!!

I love dropping in to CrossFit affiliates while on the road and Underwood Park did not disappoint. Communication before class with Mike was prompt and Tiffany was awesome the day of. She greeted me, showed me around and introduced me to the class members.
The class was great; good warmup, nice strength piece, and a fun partner Metcon.
The facility was clean. And well organized. If you’re in the Fort Edward area and looking for a a drop in Underwood Park CrossFit is the easy choice.

Memberships starting at $150 a month for a gym in Fort Edward....no way. Ive lived in New York City, Miami and Paris and I never paid anything close to that. I don't believe the reviews...nobody in that area is paying $150 a month for cross fit. They dont even pay that for Soul Cycle in the Upper East Side of New York City.

I needed a plan to lower my cholesterol, and the dietary advice I got from my doctor was “Find a Mediterranean Diet online.” Information on the internet was completely overwhelming, and there was no support, no encouragement, no accountability. Fortunately, I had heard about Underwood Park Cross Fit’s Nutrition Coaching. I live three hours away, but Aimee the Nutritionist checks in with me every few days, meets with me every other week by zoom, and monitors my progress with the app she helped me set up on my phone. Words fall short. First of all, there is zero judgement. Aimee is masterful at asking just the right questions to help me understand my own eating and health patterns and what is behind them, and then gives me the tools I need to make meaningful, sustainable changes. Based on my goals and my input, she has tailored a custom plan for my specific needs, and I feel so much support. I am five weeks in, and am eating more healthily than I have in years. I feel SO fortunate to have hooked up with this amazing service. If you are someone who feels overwhelmed at having to figure out a major nutritional change on your own, know that you don’t have to do it alone, it doesn’t have to be hard, and having someone in your corner like Aimee can make all the difference in the world. I'll admit, I was intimidated by the word "CrossFit" when I joined Underwood Park CrossFit two years ago. Boy, was I wrong! What I found was a family of coaches and members who celebrate and encourage you regardless of where you are in your fitness journey. No one is ever left behind at this gym.
We do so much more than just show up to workout. We learn why these movements are important and how they translate into our everyday life. We talk about nutrition and mental aptitude and boy do we have fun along the way!

The staff at Underwood Park is top notch! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and helpful which radiates from the ownership. Michael is extremely knowledgeable on the body and form and genuinely cares about helping you reach your goals. I worked out with them through two pregnancies and all the coaches were so helpful in modifying movements. I am so grateful for them because they helped me to stay healthy before, during and after my pregnancies.

I like the fact that owner, Michael Plank, has a great understanding of how the body works and how CrossFit benefits the whole person. He teaches his coaches his philosophy on the whole body workout and they are all equally amazing! Any level of fitness fits in at this gym. We are all at different levels doing the same thing together and it works seamlessly. What pleases me the most is that my whole body is getting fit, not just my arms or my legs, but the entire kinetic chain. All the members are encouraging and supportive. I have met new people and made new friendships. Last, I do want to mention that throughout COVID Underwood’s has done an outstanding job on spacing, masking, and disinfecting. This in itself is a huge undertaking and I applaud their tenacity and dedication to keeping their members healthy and safe during the pandemic.

After breast cancer treatment, I was very interested in getting back on track with exercise, but I did not know how to begin and I was very concerned about being able to exercise safely. Safety is a big priority at UPCF - there are always coaches watching you and working with you with your individual needs in mind. They tailor everything to your fitness level and goals. I was focused on regaining strength and range of motion and in the first 3 months, these things not only improved a great deal - but my body also looked completely different. It was shocking how fast I got such great results! I recently started nutrition coaching and this has really taken my results to the next level. I'm so happy I became a member a year ago. The coaches and other members are also very welcoming and supportive, I can't imagine anyone who would not find a home here.

I am 73 years old and I have been attending UPCF three times a week for several years. As soon as I walk in I am greeted and welcomed. I might need to modify some moves but every coach can come up with an alternative that engages the same muscles. I feel safe and protected. I'm stronger and my osteoporosis is improving per dexa scan. A super place to find health and friends.

Underwood Park CrossFit is more than a gym you just show up to - it is a community of people from all different backgrounds who come together to support each other every single class! It doesn’t matter if you’re having a good day, a bad day or a day without any motivation, the moment you enter the gym, all of that changes. There’s no comparison, there’s literally no judgment and there’s only support from everyone you meet. You are pushed out of your comfort zone and you’re an equal for that 60 minute class. If you think you can’t do something, you’re probably right in any other circumstance… but at UPCF you’re wrong! When you put your mind to something here, you absolutely achieve success! You are taught the science and the breakdown of movements so you don’t injure yourself and it also allows you to scale to your fitness level. This community is like nothing else I’ve ever been a part of and I can’t believe this little gem exists in our world! I have become the best possible version of myself by being a member here and I recommend everyone give it a shot! If you’re ready to change your life and step up for yourself, give them a call. I lost 50lbs in 8 months and I keep surprising myself with how strong I am becoming - both physically and mentally! The best decision I have ever made was walking through those doors! Underwood Park CrossFit is not only a gym, it’s a community. In my almost three and a half years as a member, not only have I lost weight, become fitter and faster, I’ve gained confidence in my athleticism and overall self, while also making new friends. The classes at UPCF are small enough that they afford the coaches the opportunity to provide personal guidance in a group setting. The coaches work with athletes of all ability levels and they provide individual modifications when needed with no problem or inconvenience. I saw UPCF as an ad on my Facebook page. I had gained a lot of weight and was around 320 pounds. I didn’t feel good about myself. I spoke to Michael over the phone to let him know what I was looking for and he let me know what to expect. I did a 6week boot camp. I loved it and did another. Then I joined CrossFit and I have never made a better decision. I am no longer over 300 pounds and I feel good about what I can do and how I feel. This place has become a safe space for me. I’ve made so many friends and feel like part of a big family. I can’t say enough about the community and the people I’ve come to know.

You might come to this gym looking for weight loss, muscle gain, nutrition assistance, guidance and support and you will certainly get all of that. In fact, you will get advice, guidance and support that fits in with your everyday life and is sustainable, from people who are not only knowledgeable but trustworthy. If you choose to work with them, and listen to them, and do the work you will see the results you’re seeking in no time. But wait there’s more! (Word to the wise, there’s always more here…) you will stay for all that goodness AND the incredible community they have built. You aren’t just going to get coaches, or workouts, or weight loss or nutrition support-the normal stuff gyms offer-you are going to get a bevy of wonderfully supportive, positive and driven people, who want to see you succeed too.

I knew right away from the first conversation I had with a staff member that this is a place that cares. They care about your goals. They care about your safety. They care if you had a bad day. They care about YOU. I truly believe my mental health is the strongest it has ever been since joining, while making progress physically as well. I’m so inspired by the other members and the coaches and I truly feel like I have become a better person since joining. And THAT is what keeps me coming back…oh and getting stronger is also freaking cool too. This is more than a gym. It is a family. As a busy parent and professional, the Custom Remote Training from Underwood Park Crossfit has been incredibly valuable for me! I've tried a few other fitness programs, including paid programs, and none have been a spot-on fit for my goals and my time the way that the programming Michael has put together for me. I am getting in better shape, on my schedule, without having to leave my garage (except for shuttle runs!)
