UMA Taekwondo has honestly changed who I am to this day after being there for 4 years. Master Pak is a great teacher and mentor who taught me discipline, respect, honesty, and loyalty. These lessons helped me a lot in my future, and I have great respect for Master Pak and his team.

UMA Taekwondo is by far the best place to learn the art of Taekwondo. Taekwondo, as a sport, was something mentally and physically challenging. As any sport, it requires hard work, determination, and mindset of a fighter. It is not called talent if you truly fight for it. I first started taekwondo at 9 years old with a master quite of the old traditional values in taekwondo, something well beyond a 9 year olds capabilities, I cried, bled, and even wanted to quit at some moments, but at the end it was all well worth it. As I began to progress during my taekwondo career, my previous master had left due to financial difficulties, and so I was left with no one else to learn from. Until I found Master Pak... When I had first arrived to Pak's dojo the presence felt warming, almost like it was where I had truly belong, when looking for previous taekwondo dojos I found it difficult as many of the masters didn't follow the old traditional values and to me were respectfully a little too "soft" when I was offered a place at another dojo, the students there had belts way beyond their age, and it felt surreal to see someone with a black belt at 11 years old. I knew it wasn't something I wanted to do as it would all seem meaningless, a belt surely represents your level of training, but when given to you so easily does it all really matter as a belt? It should represent your life and your struggles, that's why the colors only get darker... Pak was very welcoming and at the same time understood the values of seriousness when it came to taekwondo. There was a time when things needed to be done, and of course reasonably. Master Pak always kept it fair to students and when they needed to know what they were doing wrong. Master Pak is a person who will teach you all the nooks and details in the art of taekwondo if you took it seriously. I never knew what a relationship between a master and student really meant until I met Master Pak, with being on the demonstration team and going to tournaments, they all taught me a certain lesson in life. As of now, I am a 2nd degree belt in taekwondo and have been doing taekwondo for over 12 years, I would say my experience in Master Paks training was recommended. In total, if you want to become disciplined, strong, and a overachiever all at the same time, Master Pak will most definitely be the greatest of them all. Taekwondo deserves hard work, not talent. If someone else is better than you, there's always a way you can be better than them.

As a parent i was happy to enroll my daughter at a young age into the UMA Taekwondo New Windsor location under Master Pak's tutelage. As my daughter advanced through the degrees she has learned patience, respect for others, self-discipline, eye-hand coordination, as well as finding a family of friends that she can learn with side-by-side as she grows from pre-teen through her teenage years. Since, I am an older parent in my 50's, I found it refreshing for the school to teach a strong student creed with educational rules that help shape my daughter into a responsible adult. As someone who has studied martial arts in the early 80's, I knew specific things to look for in a school, and the UMA Family exceeded my expectations.

Before I put my son with Master Park, every other martial arts stuido in the and around new Windsor, Newburgh and Cornwall kept telling me the same thing: "he is too young and too playful to learn yet. Please come back when he is older". Nevertheless, Master Park right away said he can begin taking TaeKwondo the same week. The atmosphere is really family-oriented and friendly. I also invited Master Park and his students to the annual Hudson Valley Kimchi Festival at the World Mission Society Church of God in New Windsor, NY and they did an amazing and astonishing job. Everyone that attended the Kimchi Festival were impressed with the ability and talent that these young students have in martial arts. Putting my son in TaeKwondo is def. one of the best decisions I have made so far for my child's development.

What an awesome time. My nephew is 4 and he started Tae Kwon Do about 5-6 months ago here at United Martial Arts.. last night he received his first belt! The white belt, it was absolutely adorable the whole presentation for the class awards. Each age group/ belt had their own time to shine and show off what they have learned in class. Lucas was so excited to receive his belt & trophy. 🏆🥋 ( as your can see he was quiet proud ) Master Park has been amazing with him and all the other children in his school. You can tell he has a passion and love for what he does. He’s interactive with them which you can tell they admire. You can pop in for a free trial and if your kid loves it ( which I’m sure they will ) you can sign up at a great price. They provide all of the necessary things for the class.. outfit, boards ect. Absolutely love this place, the atmosphere and all of the staff members. Each and everyone are so sweet and nurturing !!! Try it out !!! You won’t be disappointed

My family loves it here. Absolutely the best place to train Taekwondo. I have had my four kids, ages 6-14, training here for the last two years and it is the best. Master Park is an amazing instructor who is super with kids and adults alike. The school is not intimidating at all and is great whether you are just trying it out for the first time or are already a blackbelt. Just the best place and I could not be happier.
