Booked in for a class and the instructor didn’t show up. Haven’t heard anything from the studio. Disappointing.

For the past decade I've tried yoga on and off, and I honestly never really got into it, I never enjoyed it. I've now been taking Hiroko's class here for about half a year and it's been a fantastic experience. Her adjustments have been so helpful, the class sizes are fairly small so you can really improve your form. Highly recommended.

Found this studio around the corner from where I was staying and was so glad I did. Great vibe. Nothing flashy or performative, just a great flow with a great teacher. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Michiko Adams and Hiroko Mangut’s Hip Opening & Stretching class, especially on Fridays—it’s the perfect way to unwind and reset for the weekend! Their hands-on guidance is thoughtful and precise, making every session both relaxing, effective, and even transformative. I always leave feeling so much more open, refreshed, and energized. And the space is beautifully designed and impeccably clean, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and focus. If you’re looking for a great stretch with amazing instructors, Urban Studios NYC is the place to be! Highly recommend Michiko and Hiroko!

I’m going to Urban Studio almost every day since two months. From vinyasa flow to yin yoga and hip opening & stretch classes, all classes are really good and I love the instructors!!!💛 Dolma, Hiroko, Amanda, Jane (temporary), and Angelina (only on Saturdays). The classes are good for all levels. The alignment matt helps you to do the postures right and safe, and the teachers’ hand adjustments are really helpful and healing 🥰 I highly recommend this studio!

I went for a class with my cousin last Friday. We had such a wonderful time- the yin class was a super relaxing start to our weekend. The space is intimate and you really get the one on one attention from the instructor that you can't get in a bigger studio. So happy to have found this spot and can't wait to get back!

I’ve been to Hiroko’s Gentle Flow and Yin Yoga classes many times and both are absolutely fantastic! She is so sweet, patient and creates such a calming and welcoming space. She really pays attention to each participant in the class and comes around to adjust you as needed to enhance your practice. I highly recommend Urban Studio and Hiroko!

Really enjoying the Vinyasa classes at Urban Studio! Because the class size is so small, you can get a lot of individual attention. The space is also a relaxing escape in the LES.

I did the Sunday hip opening and stretching class, which was great. Lovely space and good atmosphere. The instructor was very attentive, providing adjustments and modifications to the poses as needed. The accessories work was excellent. Can definitely be recommended for those who spend a lot of time sitting or working in font of a computer

I booked a stretching class through ClassPass at Urban Studio. It was a nice space; calming and clean. The class was run by Hiroko who was super friendly and led us through a good hour of stretching, breathing exercises and some vinyasa flow. I would recommend for anyone who's looking for a stretch class.

I had the most incredible experience at this small intimate yoga space. My friend recommended me this place as a newbie in yoga space and I really enjoyed my experience. The cozy setting created an atmosphere of serenity that's hard to find elsewhere in NYC. With only six students per class, I felt like I had the entire studio to myself, allowing for a deeply immersive practice.

What truly sets this studio apart is the personalized attention from the instructor. She not only guided us through the flow with expertise but also took the time to help each of us modify moves and refine our forms.

Overall, this small intimate yoga space exceeded all my expectations. It's a haven for anyone seeking mindfulness, growth, and a genuine connection to their practice. Five stars without a doubt.

I absolutely LOVE Urban Studio! I've only been to a few yoga classes in my lifetime so I'm more of a beginner, but the studio manager and instructors at Urban have been so approachable, welcoming, and encouraging as I make the start to my yoga journey — especially with the smaller class size where you can get that individual attention and care. I love how the studio itself is so cozy, clean, and relaxing too. So glad my friend recommended this place to me (she's more experienced in yoga and loves it as well). Will definitely recommend this studio to anyone who asks!

I visited Urban Studios for a Vinyasa Flow - All levels yoga session this past Sunday and it was one of the best sessions I have ever experienced. I have not practiced yoga for a number of years and I felt so comfortable in this intimate setting. The instructor Hiroko was such a great instructor super patience and assisted with modifications and correcting my poses. I will definitely keep going to Urban Studios!

This is a great little studio that LES needed. The small group intimate atmosphere allows Hiroko the instructor to be attentive to each of us. The studio was clean and I really liked the non-slippery mats they let us use. Will definitely try to make a weekly trip to this studio!
