I've been coming here for a few years now, specifically for the Pilates classes. I started as a complete beginner on the mat and gradually worked my way up to the reformer classes. The instructors are incredibly patient and knowledgeable, always providing modifications and encouragement as I've progressed. The reformer Pilates has been the perfect complement to my regular workout regiment, helping me build functional strength and flexibility. Everyone at the studio is so welcoming and friendly, and the coffee shop next door is the cherry on top when it’s open! My friend and I love grabbing coffee (and sometimes a cinnamon roll) there after class to catch up and cool down.

I was a little intimidated to start taking exercise classes because I've never done pilates, barre, etc before coming here. But everyone is so nice and helpful! A wide age range of people come to class. :) I'd recommend Velliðan

Great first class! I made it exactly at the start and not before and the instructor welcomed me despite my poorly timed arrival. The class was a good first. It was not too mild and not too hard. I’ll be back tomorrow evening for my second mat class. Gonna try and show up a few minutes early. 🙂

Just had my first class. It was a hatha yoga class and it was exactly what I needed. The directions were clear, I had plenty if time to set up my pose, was able to stay in it for a nice juicy amount of time, and was able to concentrate on my breath work. The studio was very clean and all the staff were welcoming and kind. I’m really happy I found this studio :)

I recently tried Vellidan and I had a great experience! The atmosphere was very warm and the instructor Chimene was incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. I appreciated how well-structured the class was and that it was challenging but not overwhelming, especially for a first time Pilates goer. I left feeling stronger, more centered, and already excited for my next session.
Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. It’s a gem!

I really appreciate this studio, especially since they increased the number of mat, reformer, and other equipment Pilates classes. I am a regular Pilates practitioner and it is difficult to find well-trained instructors and a flexible variety of evening classes in the Ithaca area. Many thanks to Vellidan for supplying this!

After suffering from chronic back pain and being in and out of physical therapy as well as chiropractic care for over 20 years I have finally progressed. In the past I would finish physical therapy and try to start a regular exercise routine only to discover that my back pain would return and then back to physical therapy and chiropractic care I would go again. Thanks to Vellidan now I am pain free while I exercise and also as I move through out the day! I can’t express enough gratitude for this community.❤️

Joining Vellidan (formerly The Pilates Room) was the best New Year's Resolution I made for this year. This space is warm and welcoming and all the instructors have been wonderful while also being completely unique in their focus and delivery.

I started January with the unlimited membership (which I highly recommend) so I've taken Facial Refresh, Core XIIT, Pilates (mat) and TRX classes. Each class and each instructor has something different to offer, and with the small class sizes you feel like a part of the community immediately. From week to week the instructors remember specific injuries (to recommend modifications), goals and other pieces that are so important to substantial growth in strength and stamina.

The online system is very easy to use to sign up for classes and the cancellation policy is extremely fair. Being right in the heart of Fall Creek with ample parking, the commute there is never a problem. In addition, the class times are perfect for my schedule and they have so many various classes to offer, it's so much more than just Pilates! Finally, they even have online classes if you can't make it in-person on a specific day, which I have also used and found to be extremely beneficial.

I really can't recommend Vellidan enough. As a mom of two young children, this was the reminder I needed that feeling strong doesn't need to mean high intensity workouts with guaranteed injuries. Pilates is highly focused core work that is low intensity with a laser focus on correct form rather than overexertion. In just one month I already feel stronger and can feel my balance and core strength improving significantly. Thanks to Tori and the wonderful and knowledgeable instructors at Vellidan for providing such an important service to the downtown area!

I sampled a variety of classes during Teachers Week. The studio is intimate yet large enough to accommodate small groups of class participants.
All instructors are knowledgeable, competent, kind, and give detailed instructions throughout the class. They anticipate difficulties new participants might experience and provide pointers to address limitations and prevent injuries.
I enjoyed all the classes, but especially the Reformer, Aerial Yoga Flow and Fascial Refresh. I am sorry that I couldn’t fit Rebounding and Vinyasa Yoga in my schedule.
This is a great place to work out with an awesome staff and friendly participants.

The BEST workout spot in Ithaca! The Pilates Studio is a real gem and is so much more than just a Pilates studio. This is the only gym that I have attended for years without ever getting bored. The classes are so fun and addicting!

The environment here is super supportive and very much at your own pace, yet you can totally make it as challenging as you like. Why do traditional yoga when you can fly with aerial yoga? It offers the best Savasana at the end, hanging in an aerial silk.

This place isn't just for the ladies! My husband loves the HIIT, Pound!, and TRX classes. I even dragged him to aerial and he was surprised how much he enjoyed it. We have different tastes when it comes to workout classes so it works great for us having two young kiddos and switching off our workouts at the studio. My personal favorites are Aerial Yoga, Pound!, Barre, Rebounding, and Fascial Refresh.

Try out their workout classes with a trial membership, but make sure to throw in some restorative classes to reset from the stresses of the week. The way you feel after Fascial Refresh and Aerial Yoga is life changing!

As someone who always loathed exercise, I can proudly say that I am a Pilates Studio gym rat for life :).

I started membership in this studio a few years ago, in order to support my daughter in her wellness, and it has truly changed my life for the better. I had come to live with stiffness and pain in my knees, feet and neck over a course of many years. It was so pervasive that in some cases I didn’t even realize the extent of my limitation. Through the course of two years of classes and PT with Chimene and Tori, I have experienced a profound change in my body. This permeates everything, from simple daily coordination tasks to being able to take a long walk or hike with not only no pain/stiffness afterwards but a feeling of strength and agility. I continue to set goals and deal with chronic issues but I no longer feel so limited by them. I look forward to ongoing strengthening and “organizing” work as a healthier and more fun way of life.
