The Water and Rock Studio provides an intimate fitness experience whether you prefer one on one instruction or group classes. Whether it's self defense, yoga or weight training, what makes the Studio different is that a holistic approach is taken and could range from dietary changes to help enhance your overall health to suggestions on how to reduce stress and anxiety in daily life

This is an excellent studio providing a full range of health and fitness training. I experienced the personalized training first-hand and have benefited personally from the intense and guided fitness regimen that has provided long-term health and fitness improvements. For example, I was able to shed excess weight, improve core strength, reduce my routine medication levels, reduce my chronic back pain issues, and increase overall feeling of well being. The yoga instructors are highly skills and provide a comfortable environment able to adapt the classes for the beginner (like me) and the many level of yoga skills in the class. Great for the beginner or highly skilled, and this goes for personal training as well.

Japheth and Water and Rock Studio have been coaching me for nearly eight years. The value I've received is well beyond the cost. Japheth's experience in athletics, contagious enthusiasm, and the holistic/360 degree approach to health challenges is a piece to puzzle I could not find anywhere else. Water and Rock Studio is directly responsible for helping me achieve a major goal of mine in a competitive event winning 1st place. I've trained with Japheth at the Philadelphia location, and now mostly I train via online sessions. In my experience, the online/Skype sessions are a perfect fit to a busy schedule. Some of the biggest pluses about the online sessions with Japheth: I still receive weekly encouragement, have an accountability partner, and obtain custom made workouts to maximize my efficiency and time in the gym. The best bang for your buck is Water and Rock Studio with no close 2nds!

I've used Water & Rock both in the Philadelphia location as well as virtual training when I travel around the world for work. I love the virtual training quite a bit actually - helps me stay on top of my fitness wherever I happen to be, from Washington DC to Denver, Singapore, London, etc. The 1 on 1 trainer attention is perfect for me - I never really liked group classes and appreciate highly personalized bespoke training and making adjustments based on how I'm feeling and what I am training for as a master's level amateur bike racer (MTB, gravel, cyclocross). When I got started with them a few years ago I wasn't super fit and knew I needed expert help. Since then I'm dropped a bit of weight while losing a lot of body fat and replacing it with muscle. My core strength is far better which has the nice side effect of eliminating prior back pain, and I now have a regular yoga practice mixed in with training and outside training. I can't say enough good things about Water & Rock - they have been great for me and I highly recommend their personalized training.
