My recent experience highlights a serious lack of professionalism. I arrived just two minutes late for my class, and despite the staff clearly seeing me, they refused to grant entry. This disrespectful and rigid approach resulted in me being left outside and unable to receive the service.
Don't ignore the bad reviews. If a studio is unwilling to show basic courtesy and is unprofessional enough to leave a paying client standing outside, you should absolutely choose to take your business elsewhere. Find a studio that values your time and your commitment as much as you value theirs.

I’ve gone to a lot of different Pilates studios over the last five years but I always come back here! Best vibe and workout! Not many places you can go in NYC that are small women owned businesses where the owner is actually there and teaches regularly. Whitney goes out of her way to remember repeat customers and build a space that makes you want to work hard to some good music and HAVE FUN. Whitfit ily forever 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

WhitFit is my absolute favorite studio in the LES, if not ever. It’s heated the perfect amount, plus infrared which makes it stand out from other heated studios. Every instructor I’ve had has been awesome, knowledgeable, and encouraging but Whitney’s Hot Pilates class is my fav! The Sculpted Glutes is awesome, too. Love feeling like I got a great workout on in only 45 minutes. It’s just such a great vibe in there all the time from the decor, the employees, the music, everything! Honestly obsessed with this studio. 💛

Absolutely love this studio!! Gary is an amazing instructor and brings the best energy and workouts to his classes. Be prepared to get the hardest workout of your life. ❤️
The studio often is ran by the instructor on duty so if you come late expect the doors to be locked- they are busy instructing the class! This never bothers me as I always aim to get to class atleast 15 min before it starts.

This place is garbage. The instructors leading the classes are wholly unqualified. The facilities are dirty. Whitney will smile at you and flip her hair while being dishonest about anything that will keep her from taking your money. Spare yourself the wasted time and a potential injury and go to a reputable studio.

I’ve been coming to WhitFit for over six months now, and I love how it’s not your traditional hot pilates. I’m not a cardio gal, so having a space where I can get my heart rate up without that feeling of boredom and monotony is great for me. No class is the exact same. And for the folks complaining about the late policy — come on! It’s super disruptive and disrespectful to come late, as most classes begin and end in a resting position with breath work!

I should’ve checked the reviews for this place before I booked. I have truly never met such a nasty attitude from any fitness establishment before this one. I booked a 8pm hot yoga class, and I arrived at 7:59. Door is locked… so im ringing their bell and knocking on the door for five minutes before someone came out. Wish I got her name but she refused to open the door for me and just gave me the rudest attitude through the window. She was yelling that im late — but I arrived on the dot and have been waiting outside to be simply let in?? She was honestly being extremely rude and it was uncalled for. Even worse it was from a girl with very overgrown roots and thin dry platinum hair wearing a SHEIN denim jacket! Girl why are you bringing all that nasty energy to a place people go to unwind and feel comfortable in their bodies.

My first time at Whitfit and had a great experience. The studio is so cute, love the pink lights and decorations in the lobby. Check in process was super easy, the front desk person was very friendly and inviting. Took hot Pilates with Anita, the class was challenging but not over the top. Loved her energy and the music was great. Will definitely be coming back!

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience at your studio this morning. Myself and five other women arrived just four minutes after class started—due to significant train delays—and were met with a locked door. While I understand policies around late arrivals, four minutes hardly seems unreasonable, especially given the circumstances.
What was especially frustrating was that a staff member saw us waiting, refused to even open the door to speak with us, and simply walked away. Not only were we not given the chance to explain or ask about joining the next class, we were treated with complete disregard.
This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional but also incredibly unwelcoming. I’ve taken this class before and unfortunately received similarly dismissive behavior. On top of that, the studio itself is not well-maintained—the space is dirty, and the equipment is outdated.
We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this studio to others.

I had the most horrible experience at this place. I was over the moon to attend my 12PM hot pilates class with Iris on Monday. I arrived at 12:01 as I was traveling from afar and to my surprise the door was closed. No receptionist. Doorbell did not work. I called and it would send me straight to voicemail. I waited till class was over in the POURING RAIN, surely there was something that could be done about this. Iris came out and said she waited 5 minutes past 12PM. I got there at 12:01PM… so clearly someone’s lying here, right? She insisted over and over that she waited as long as she could, 5 minutes to be exact especially considering only TWO girls signed up for the class, me being one of them LOL There was no remorse, she said I could talk to the owner but she’d probably say the same thing, “there’s nothing we can do about it”. So, so disappointed. I should have read the other reviews, class pass girlies… this class isnt for you

the class was great, but be very careful if you rent a mat, they will charge you apple pay and then state they never received it and ask you to zelle them. I ended up paying $20 for 2 mats I rented and when I reached out for assistance, they gave me a major run around. Either bring your own mat or just avoid this place. There are a lot of other places in the city with much better organization.

So glad I found this studio! There is nothing else like it and this style of heated Pilates has changed the way I view my workouts and my fitness routine. Whitney knows what she is doing and always keeps things fresh and interesting with new props and moves, never the same!

i have been going to whitfit for two years now, it is truly, the only workout i will ever do, and the only studio i will ever go to. First of all, the fact that it is not intimidating like literally all workout studios is the best part. you are greeted by actual PEOPLE with smiles and who really care about you. most nyc studios, the ppl are always so rude and cold it makes you automatically hate the workout. whitfit creates a safe space for all, and all are welcome, which is why i love it. whitfit also has a great range of classes, so it is for everyone. i have never been in better shape than when i started whitfit 2 years ago. it actually has made me addicted to working out. i love that we start with stretching and end with stretching and gratitude. unlike other places, where they quickly just turn us over and cant wait for us to get out. the techers at whitfit all CARE and make you feel special and strong. it is truly a fun community. everyone who i bring loves it as much as i do. If I had money to invest in whitfit and make it the next soul cycle, i would. but honestly, the charm of whitfit is that it is local, owned by a woman, and every detail is cared for. i love how attentive whitney is to every aspect of her space. and it makes for a better workout when the owner has such a strong presence. cannot recommend this place enough. it changed my life!

Signed up through classpass and didn’t have the best experience here. The instructor checked me in and was very rude to me and demand I pay for my mat and towel rental by venmoing them. I have no problem with this, just ask nicely. Then when the class started she never explained what equipment to grab and many people including myself were confused. If you have new people in your class, it’s your duty to explain what’s needed. If it’s class not meant for new people, don’t take the glitch in the classpass system out on them.

I came last week for a hot Pilates through class pass and I absolutely loved it. I had Meghan and she was so amazing, I was rushing because I came after work and she patiently waited for me to start the class which I am so grateful for. This was one of the classes that challenged me the most but felt so good. The place is so chic and cute, will def be coming back.

WhitFit is one of the first places I always visit when I’m back home in NYC! Fun classes, inclusive environment, and good people who always cheer you on. They’re especially good for beginners: I was new to pilates when I first started and every instructor made sure I felt comfortable and was able to modify every exercise without issue.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Whit Fit NYC is a game changer!
Whitney, the amazing owner and NYC local, has truly created a gem with this studio. I took the Pilates class after hearing so many great things—and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! From the upbeat music to the energetic and friendly crowd, the mood was just perfect. Whitney knows how to keep you moving and motivated throughout the entire session.
Make sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early because the door closes right at class time (don’t miss out!). And don't leave without checking out the super cute merch—trust me, you’ll want a piece of it!
Can’t wait to come back for more classes. Whit Fit NYC has my heart!

I heard the instructor described her class as organized chaos. I would describe it as just chaos. There was a lack of clear instructions + acknowledgment of everyone in the class. I am not new to Pilates but I am new to this studio/instructor. She would showcase her complex flows once & would walk to the other side of the room, giving special attention to a group of stereotypical Pilates women. The instructor did come over and corrected me a few times which was helpful but without commenting that I should have taken an intro class. I found this to be super ironic considering I was copying regular WhitFit customers and her friend. In addition, she would show the flow so quick and walk across the room. Or she would demonstrate the moves in an area that was only visible to that specific group of women vs doing the moves at the center of the studio. I found this to be super frustrating. Even the person behind me who also was new was clearly struggling to learn the moves but the instructor gave her no help.
Even Reformer Pilates instructors who demonstrate the moves on the floor while the class is on machines, are more clear than the WhitFit instructor who can freely move and who could have done the moves with her class. Regular instructors would go in front of the class to showcase the move so everyone could follow. It was not the case here.
I’ve taken numerous Pilates classes in NYC but this was the most disappointing class I've ever experienced. I’m not one to leave a negative comment but considering how expensive workout classes are in NYC, the studio needs to improve.
UPDATE: I’m very disappointed by the studio's response to my review, which shifted blame to me for wanting “personal attention”. The focus should be on the instructor’s ability to engage with the whole class rather than just a select few who Whit clearly favored. I did try another class with a different instructor, and that experience was much better—he was clear, attentive, and demonstrated moves with us vs the other instructor. Please take accountability and say you’ll do better.

I think it’s inappropriate that the owner responds passive aggressively to negative reviews- I am not the only person they have done this too.
After admittedly arriving 8 minutes late- the person at the front door didn’t even allow me to change out of my workout clothes and locked the door in my face. Customer service is severely lacking and will close a business in such a saturated market.

Best work out studio in NYC!! I love WhitFit, the classes are the perfect balance of getting the heart rate going plus strength. The first time I took a class I thought I was in shape but by the end it kicked my butt (in the best way) and I certainly got my moneys worth!! These classes will have you feeling and looking snatched!
All the instructors are very welcoming and make you feel like you're part of a community. I especially LOVE the infrared heat and always leave having got a great sweat in and feeling rejuvenated! The studio itself is so cute too and they have great merch! Highly recommend.

If SolidCore, Tracy Anderson Method, and Corepower had a child it would be WhitFit. Instructors are amazing. Classes are challenging but fly by so much faster than any other pilates-esque class, thanks to the structure of the exercises + the sheer personalities of the instructors. Whitney was literally born to run a fitness studio - she does such a great job of building a welcoming and fun environment. If she started a cult, id probably willingly join. Also, the aux here is incredible.
Im moving to Nashville and i literally do not know what im going to do without WhitFit so if ur reading this @ whitney, you better WhitGET to nashville.

Take a HIIT class, and you’ll feel it the next day, or four days. Yet I keep coming. Whitney and the team have been amazing, attentive, energizing, and personable. - A great addition to the neighborhood. Fast or slow, there’s a class for you. And did I mention there’s a pet adoption yoga class? Who wouldn’t want to do downward dog with actually puppies roaming around!
