Everything about Will’s practice is elevated from the space to the distinctive workouts and outstanding trainers. Their mission is to provide a supportive and empowering environment where you can achieve your fitness goals effectively. It’s focusing on strength, mobility, and flexibility where the personal training sessions mirror the group classes however both can work separately. The workouts are so different, actually fun and challenging. I’m quickly seeing results but more importantly in the short time I’ve been back, my body is feeling better than ever.

Lauren is excellent! She’s the only trainer I’ve stuck with in the long-term, because I can feel and see the difference in my movement and the progress that I’m making over time. I love that she’s a stickler for form, and that we work on exercises that are not only building strength, but also flexibility and mobility, so that I can continue to have a healthy and mobile, injury-free body as I age. I’m doing so many things now with my 41-year-old body that I couldn’t do in my 20’s because of her! WillSpace is a great studio - clean, bright, and welcoming. The team of trainers is super close knit and supportive - when you succeed in making gains, they all share in and cheer on that success. So glad I found Will and Lauren and this studio.

I have been coming to WillSpace for about a year and a half and have been training with Sophia for close to a year now and she has been so great to work with. She knows how to motivate me to work harder without overworking or overwhelming me like some instructors can be, and that has helped me to be consistent. This is such a different workout from anywhere else and I love the balance of strength and flexibility exercises. I am a 63 yr old man who has never seriously ever worked out until I started here. My doctor gave me an option 6 months ago - do nothing and expect knee surgery in a couple years ago or start working out with very specific core body and leg exercises.
I had had spoken to Will a month before this ultimatum while walking my dog. I had asked about WillSpace and what it does. I must say in retrospect, he actually undersold this amazing “Space.” It is like nothing I have ever heard about or seen. My sister-in-law runs large hospital based physical therapy program. I have told her about WillSpace and she said it sounds like the perfect place for me and my needs!
For the last 6 months I have been there (both in person and also Virtually - yes Virtually so I do not miss sessions as I travel extensively) twice a week. When I showed up, my frozen shoulder of 10 years ago still bothered me and I could not even do a single pushup. That has ALL changed.
My first session was both with Will (the genius behind this space) and Marcel (my trainer). They did a long series of exercises to determine where I was. Then the two of them designed a long-term exercise goals with a focus on my core body and my building up my legs to prevent knee surgery.
This has been such an amazing journey I am on. When I first started could not do more than a couple squats. Today, I did squats using a 30 pound weight. Their focus on detail is astonishing.
The best part is how totally supportive the full staff is. Not only does Marcel find a way to get me to find that one extra (whatever I am doing), it is always done in such a positive way. And it is not just Marcel. I continue to look around and see every trainer doing the same thing.
In summary, I have a single recommendation - make an appointment to meet Will and get started. I am sure it will make a big change in your life and body as in mine.

I really enjoyed the movement classes. I purchased a 1 month 2x weekly group Movement series that really challenged different and new parts of my body. Will has an innate knack for enhancing locomotion and strength via movement and making working out fun and engaging.
I also loved how he always had another practitioner to assist us during the sessions, that way each person felt well attended to and supported. After the initial shock of early mornings, I became extremely excited to attend our 6:30am sessions.
I highly recommend Willspace. Will and his team are amazing, and your body will thank you for signing up for these classes and taking the steps in bringing your mobility back to peak performance.

Quick summary; I'm middle aged with a below average BMI. I have a herniated disc and pinch nerve. I've done physical therapy, massage, self workout care to no avail. Figuring surgery was my last option, I decided to go all in for a better solution. During Covid, I did my research and having been following Will Space on social media, I knew this was the type of workout and methods I needed. Will is a master craftsmen at his profession. So no matter what level of trainer you're with, the standards are high and he's always available to give notes. As are all instructors. Everyone works well together. Studio is super clean as well. The point being, I no longer live in pain. My quality of life is a complete 360 from when I first started at Will Space. My wife and children no longer hear me complaining everyday. That for me, is a win! I couldn't be more grateful for my experience and my instructor Sophia. Looking forward to more progress.

My wife bought me a couple virtual coaching sessions in June because she was tired of hearing me complain about my hip and back pain from the combination of sitting too much at work as well as going for long runs when I got home. At first, I was skeptical because I have worked out on my own for most of my life and I didn’t really think I needed a trainer. However, after 3 months of sessions with Estevan I am totally hooked!
The Willspace training philosophy was different than what I was accustomed to, however, the focus on movement in combination with strength I believe has led to the improvements I am feeling in my hips, back, and overall. Estevan has done a great job of coaching me virtually by focusing on muscle groups I typically have not worked on as well helping me properly execute the movements. The workouts are 1 hour, go by fast, and are enjoyable!

Willspace has totally changed my relationship to exercise. I am someone who historically could not lift a heavy suitcase. In elementary school, I convinced my mom to send a fake doctor’s note to my PE teacher to get me out of class, and it was all downhill from there. Every few years, I would get inspired to try to finally get in shape and would join a gym or hire a trainer, only to end up skipping sessions and give up a month in. I was a total lost cause.
Enter Kim, my now beloved trainer at Willspace. From day one, I could tell it was a different approach to fitness than I had experienced before. She listens to my goals and is meticulous in observing my form and ensuring safety, taking time to explain every nuance of an exercise and the muscles we are working. She intuits when to push me but critically also knows when to ease up to make sure I don’t get overwhelmed. I came in unable to do one pushup, but I never felt judged and the focus here really is on a “marathon, not sprint” mentality that makes me feel my body is being taken care of. I’ve learned that it is way more important to be consistent even at a slower pace (sure I’d heard that before, but nowhere else ever nailed the pace for me before Willspace, always pushing me too fast or making me feel bad for needing to go so slow - Kim always gets it just right). Despite going “slower,” I’m shocked by how quickly I’ve made so much progress. Yes, I can do pushups now, but I’m even learning things like chin ups and can deadlift 100 pounds. That’s crazy for me to think about!
Most importantly, for the first time in my life I actually enjoy (!!) working out. The trainers here are universally lovely people who really care, and it feels like hanging out with encouraging friends every time I come. I NEVER thought I would be someone who would willingly wake up an hour early multiple times a week to work out, for months on end, but Willspace made me that person, and I am much stronger and happier in my body because of it. If you feel like a lost cause, Willspace is the place that can finally make exercising click - joining here was the best investment in myself I could have made!

I've taken two Active Flexibility classes at Willspace and have been very pleased with them. I struggle with mobility and range of motion, and this class's combination of yoga-like poses with longer holds is perfect for someone with my issues, as it really allows me to sink into difficult positions and activate muscles that have gotten a little stiff over time. Lauren's incredible attitude keeps the whole thing lighthearted and enjoyable, despite the challenge, and I'm looking forward to more.

Willspace is the greatest, I am so happy that I found my way to this place— I love it so much that even though I am moving to another neighborhood, I will continue to train here because I know nowhere else will be as good. Clean and inviting, this is a space where all the coaches and even all of the clients are always friendly and encouraging. This is not your typical gym, the coaches here have all the usual knowledge of gym equipment and training, weight lifting, rowing, etc, and they are superb at coaching in these disciplines, however they also possess a much broader knowledge of other types of movement and are continually adding more to their repertoire. So your progress never plateaus, and you never feel stagnant, but instead you’re always improving and gaining more and more strength and mobility.
Now mostly I want to rave about Lauren in this review, with whom I’ve been training for about a year and a half. Lauren has that innate ability which cannot be learned or imitated—she just knows. She knows exactly what her client needs; when and how to modify an exercise or an approach, how hard to push, when to be tough and when to be gentle— even though I’ve been teaching Pilates for over a decade, this is what I wanted from a coach. Someone who could push me beyond what I know and what I can do while working out on my own. I came to Willspace with a myriad of old ballet injuries, and was in the process of recovering from a long health crisis, and I trust Lauren implicitly, she is exactly what I needed. I can honestly say that feel stronger and better than I ever even hoped to feel again in my lifetime. I can’t wait to see how much more improvement I’ll see after another year of working with her. I often tell my friends that every time I walk out of a session with Lauren, I feel like she’s given me super powers. Everyone needs a Lauren in their life.

Last year I had surgery to repair a really bad tear of the labrum in my shoulder. After months of physical therapy, it seemed like my shoulder would never regain the strength and mobility it had before. I was frustrated and in search of any possible solution. I met with Will (founder of WillSpace) on a whim after finding the gym on google to see if he might be able to help me. He sat with me and listened to everything I had to say and asked me to put my trust in him and his team. He did not steer me wrong.
It's hard to explain, but the atmosphere at WillSpace is just different. They listen, and they have clear cut plans and goals to get you exactly where you want to be. I stopped going to my physical therapist and exclusively use WillSpace for my shoulder and full body training and I have never felt better. I have trained with tons of different trainers in many different types of gyms and WillSpace is the most unique place I have ever spent my time. You will not regret putting your faith in them to reach your fitness goals. Special shoutout to my personal fitness guru, Jorge, who makes me actually look forward to getting out of bed at 5:30am. Do yourself a favor and get a session with this guy because he is the best there is!

I started working out at Willspace a few years ago and it’s been incredible watching the shift of how they train there. Will had a true vision of how to change your body and how it works through stretching, flexibility and strength training. Since I have started up again with Willspace, I have noticed a huge improvement in my hip and shoulder mobility. Those two areas have always held me back in my work outs. In my workouts at Willspace, there is the amazing focus of each area of my body, both by stretching and with strength training exercises and movements . I have seen a change in my body with my torso leaning out and the muscular development in my legs increasing. I find the environment at Willspace both friendly and encouraging. I have now trained with each trainer there and they are all gifted and caring, each challenging you and pushing you to do things you didn’t think you could.

Will has built something worthy and valid and real here, and he's done it quietly.
The ethos that’s very present starts with the physical space itself, it includes his training colleagues team, and by extension also, the clientele that I’ve observed working with the other trainers.
Taken together, this set of decisions permeate the space, and imbues it with a warm, intense vibe.
I think it’s these qualities that help Willspace avoid the general trappings of places like this, namely; the ego, narcissism, and general insecure competitiveness that seem to accompany environments like this...it just doesn't exist here.
I thought I couldn't afford to continue after my first group of appointments were fulfilled - it's not inexpensive - but when I divided the cost by the results, after just 6 weeks, I ran back over with my credit card and signed up for more.
It's great to see someone build something larger than themselves and to do it with a firm grasp of the idea of doing one thing extremely well, on a daily basis.
That it exists at all is a superb asset for the community, I'm lucky to be a part of it.

Update: I’ve been working out here for two years. I still love the staff. I moved uptown about a year ago and go out of my way to come back and keep working with Will and his team. They are all amazing: Jorge, Lauren, Kim and James.
Will Space is an amazing intimate gym that is extremely professional but has a family feel. All of the trainers are super nice and they focus on proper form over higher reps or weight. They practice what they preach and they encourage you to live a healthier life in addition to just working out. They push you to overcome the obstacles in your way and to get out of your head. It is a cozy intimate facility with outstanding staff and service. I would highly recommend them.

I don’t have enough amazing things to say about Willspace!! Their approach to fitness is unlike any other class I’ve been to or trainer I’ve worked with. Every exercise is paired with mobility active stretch which made me realize how incomplete my training was on my own or in other gyms. I’ve been suffering from lower back strains due to previous excercises and Willspace’s regimen is meant to tackle and prevent those injuries from occurring by working all aspects of your muscle groups. Kimberly has been an amazing trainer and challenges me with something new in every session!

I considered getting a personal trainer in Equinox but I'm so glad I had the lucidity to chose Willspace instead. I've never once felt like cattle or detached, as you do in a corporate multinational fitness centre. Willspace is a personal training only gym with exactly everything you need. There's no salespeople pushing you to do this and that. There's no lazy bum laying on a utility bench scrolling through Tinder for 30mins and working out for 10 (lol! what a buzzkill). There's no stinky equipment because the lovely and hardworking Tito is always keeping things spick and span. Even the bathrooms smell great! Things are always tidy because they're always put back where it was before. What you WILL find here are people who genuinely care about your progress, familiar faces and a sense of solidarity.
Willspace was founded by Will, who coached me on my first day. His passion for training was evident and so was his eagerness to share his wealth of knowledge. He's meticulous in every way, including his pick of coaches. He introduced me to Lauren, and we've been thick as thieves ever since!
What I've gained from Willspace is tailored training that speaks to my pace and personal goals. They ensure that I get a balance of strength, endurance and flexibility. They certainly push me to be better but I've never felt unsafe or been injured. You'll get access to the variety of specialized knowledge from its coaches. There's Will of course, Olympic Lifter Chaz, MMA Robbie, Gymnast Jorge, Muay Thai Cesar and Yoga Lauren. Each coach I've noticed, are all determined and always learning something new from each other. They have a genuine sense of camaraderie and I would get helpful tips from a coach I'm not even training with.
In the past 8 months my health and wellbeing has improved by leaps and bounds, and Willspace is a big part of that. They have a machine called the InBody which I love getting on each month to get a complete analysis of what's happening in your body. Recently, I've plucked up the courage to take up Kickboxing with Cesar. It's so much fun!

I went to Willspace to get in shape for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I made. Not only did I reach my goal weight, but I felt strong and it was a great way to relieve any built up wedding stress. The trainers are professionals with such a great eye for detail. I have been a fitness enthusiast for most of my life. Over the years, I've tried different classes, trainers and gyms. After training with Will Torres, I realized that much of the exercises and strength training that I have done over time were not being done to the fullest extent. This made me understand why although I am in pretty good shape, I often plateau. Will has helped me understand that the body operates as a unit and in order to condition the body and train it to look and feel the best possible, you need to retrain yourself by breaking old habits even for the most "simplest" of exercises. I need trainers that are extremely knowledgable about form and posture, and Will understands how muscle groups interact and explains this very clearly when developing a program. After a month with Will twice per week, I was in the best shape of my life and have continued seeing transformative results. I work with models and celebrities and have very confidently referred over ten people to Willspace this summer. Models need to be careful when exercising to avoid bulking and to stay as long / lean as possible, and I only trust them with trainers that are extremely technical and have experience targeting specific needs - Will gets it! His boxing coaches are killer too. Cute space and very nice people.

I love this place!! EVERYONE is so welcoming. I train with Jorge, who always kicked my butt, but changed up the workouts so that I never got bored. I was so shocked with the progress I made in the short amount of time while training there twice a week. In hopes of toning up for the wedding, I also found that I got a lot stronger and confident. One of my favorite things was that they focus on perfecting your form and doing each movement safely and to the best of your ability, unlike many other gyms or classes that only care about how many you do (wrong) or teach bad habits. This place is a hidden gem that really takes pride in what they do;I highly recommend to all my friends!
