I recently started working with Vanessa at Wolf Den, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. As someone who had never regularly exercised before, I was initially nervous and unsure of what to expect. However, Vanessa has been amazing since day one.
In just six months, I've already noticed results, which has been incredibly motivating. Vanessa's approach is both encouraging and tailored to my individual needs, making each session enjoyable and effective. The gym environment is also a big plus—it's fun and filled with supportive people who create a welcoming atmosphere.
I travel a lot for work, and the flexible scheduling makes it easy stick to a plan. Vanessa will also send me personalized workout plans when I am out of town so even if I can't make it to the gym, I can still keep up with my fitness goals.
I highly recommend this gym and Vanessa as a personal trainer to anyone who feels unsure about where to start their fitness journey. Her expertise and the supportive environment have made all the difference for me!

I love working out with Vanessa! Since it was my first time trying out weight lifting in my fitness journey, I wanted proper guidance especially with a permanent neck injury. I also felt lost in the gym with all the equipment and afraid to use half of it. Now, I feel so much more comfortable using equipment when I am on my own. She listens and makes sure you're comfortable with what you are doing while also pushing you enough to challenge yourself. Since starting in June 2025 I have built confidence and I can notice strength gains. I always look forward to my session with her every week!

Every single person I have met since I started going to Wolf Den has been kind, passionate, and professional. I joined looking to continue the strength training and powerlifting I have been working on for the past few years. There are many gyms closer to my home but I’m happy to travel in order to get this level of professionalism. Best decision I have ever made!!! I have been working out with Vannessa for about 4 months now, and I feel NEW. When I finally decided to go back to being healthy and physically active after Covid and years of professional school, I came across the Wolf Den during a sleepless night thinking "where do I start??"
When I reached out to Vannessa, she was quick to respond and even invited me to the gym to talk about my goals and what I was looking to achieve through her and the gym. Based on that, she customizes my workouts and provides me with a diverse session. She cares about safety a lot too. She demonstrates first, monitors technique, and checks to see how I'm feeling with the weight. The gym is always clean and tidy, but more importantly the environment is very fun, friendly, safe, judgement-free, and welcoming to anyone and everyone. Highly recommend this gym and Vannessa!! :)

I’ve been working out with Vannessa for about 5 months now. I was with a previous personal trainer for a year and a half, but have made more gains in my short time with Vannessa than all my time spent before. The personal training holds me accountable with my busy lifestyle. Vannessa also tailors my workouts, makes sure I’m doing them correctly, and PUSHES ME. My weights and intensity have gone up SO much faster with her guidance - and not in an uncomfortable way. My body can just do incredible things now. I cannot believe what I am moving and lifting, it’s amazing! I've been training with Savannah at Wolf's den for over a year and a half now and I don't foresee myself leaving for several reasons. It's very hard to find a personal trainer that you have a connection with, who is so knowledgeable, supports and motivates you, and lastly makes working out fun and realistic. I go 3 times a week and have never seen better improvement in my body composition. The gym itself is very inviting and doesn't have that typical "gym vibe" that can make people feel uncomfortable.

Although I train one on one with her, the other trainers, Jill and Savanah, and the people they train make the environment inclusive. I have been training with Jill at Wolf Den for a little over a year, and I just can't say enough good things. The gym focuses on one-on-one strength training, and the environment is exceptionally positive and supportive. It's a small, close-knit place, and you start to feel like family after a while. Their training philosophy is all about the idea that it's a marathon, not a sprint, and they don't offer quick fixes, but if you put in the work, you absolutely will see the result, and you are well guided along the way. Great place with great trainers and a positive atmosphere. Was intimidated to get back into working out and never weight lifted/strength trained before. It’s been a great experience and now I look forward to my workouts with Savannah each week. The right amount of challenge in the workouts without too much pressure. I see mostly female clients around but my husband goes as well and loves it too. If you are nervous or intimidated by the typical gym environment, Wolf Den will be a breath of fresh air.

Great atmosphere and even greater people. This place is the first gym that has made me feel completely comfortable in myself and my low level of experience. Vannessa is our trainer and owner and has been so amazing! My husband and I started just under a year ago going once a week but see steady results. I hated how young and weak I was where I didn’t have stamina for basic things. Over this course, even with once a week training, she’s pushed me, encouraged me, has faith in me but still adjusted to my needs. My stability was garbage and I didn’t feel like I was progressing until she points out where I started to where I am at that moment. She’s very flexible too and understands life happens but we always make sure we get our make ups in as soon as possible, despite our crazy lives. She’s been absolutely amazing this entire journey.

I’m delighted to share my positive experience with my strength training journey under the guidance of Vannessa. She is knowledgeable, dedicated, and patient. She has helped transform not just my physical strength but with her help I have more mobility, better sleep, way less pain. One of the ancillary benefits, that I was not expecting, is the impact on my mental wellness and clarity. Her professionalism, non-judgmental approach, sense of humor, and empathy make each session a rewarding and motivating experience. I have more confidence and strength (physically and mentally) than I have in decades. I came to her with chronic shoulder pain from an injury sustained last year and crippling anxiety about working with weights. I wasn’t getting anywhere with Ortho and PT. They were giving me cortisone injections and saying I would likely need arthroscopic surgery to identify the problems. I came to Vannessa weak, intimidated, suffering in pain and in less than two months, my range of motion has returned to normal, my pain has significantly diminished, I can do all of the things I thought I would never again be able to do and took for granted all my life, like simply raising my arms overhead or routine household chores without excruciating pain. Even better, I can do yoga again!! I can swim freestyle and backstroke again!! This is truly the best investment I have made in decades. If you are curious about strength training or intimidated, want to improve your quality of life, or just looking for a new trainer, Vannessa and her team at Wolf Strength are welcoming, as are the other clients, and here to help anyone at any level of fitness. It's hard to describe what it feels like to work out at Wolf Den. As a smaller gym, all of the trainers and clients become familiar quickly, and everyone there is at the same time serious, focused, and working hard, but also supportive, welcoming, and often completely hilarious. The trainers are really knowledgeable and will work with you to customize your workouts to meet your goals and also to respond if you just are having a really good or really off day. Vanessa is seriously THE BEST! I tried gym memberships on my own, personal trainer via other gyms etc and each time I backed out or it didn’t “click” or feel like a good match. I reached out to her after doing a google search trying to find a personal training specifically for strength training. I found her and the amazing gym and family she built! I felt welcomed right away and it just felt different. This is the first time I can say I have stuck to a workout routine so consistently. I've been training at the wolf den with Vanessa for a few months now and it has been an amazing experience. I was looking for a female fitness trainer who specialized in strength training and I found Vanessa via Facebook. She set realistic plans to obtain my body goals, she challenged me as much as she encouraged me. She knew how to pivot for unexpected occurrences that impact my workout. If you have joint or other physical limitations Vanessa is an amazing resource. She helps adjust exercises so they work for me. I'm getting stronger without causing any injuries or pain. I found Wolf Den searching online for a personal trainer. Vanessa was quick to respond to my questions and offered a free consultation. I was looking for a female trainer who could help me safely return to powerlifting after a long COVID hiatus. Her weekly options and monthly payment plans are competitive for how skilled and knowledgeable she is. I now know how to properly workout, target muscle groups, maintain proper form and protect myself from injury. She won’t let you give up or allow you to underestimate your strength. I was so clueless when it came to weights and how to use them. I always got anxiety trying to use weights at a local gym that I gave up on it for years. Until a great friend of mine introduced me to Vanessa. The one on one attention is exactly what I needed. I'm never worried about my form or hurting myself, specially after being in a car accident. Vanessa is so informative and helpful that I have no more anxiety when it comes to lifting weights. I really never thought that, that would be possible. The older I get the more I realize how important it is to condition muscles that I normally would never use on a regular basis. I have a new confidence in growing older and staying strong and not having to worry about the normal muscular atrophy that comes with age. I feel good in being proactive at this stage in my life and I can't stress how important that is and how important it is to have someone like Vanessa to show you the right way. Vannessa is an amazing coach and motivator. I am very much a beginner to strength training and any type of fitness routine in general. Best gym experience ever! I've always admired people who can lift and wanted to be one of them, but video tutorials never seemed to get me there and I always felt uncomfortable in bigger gyms. At Wolf Den I'm learning the small adjustments needed to get an effective workout and can finally lift heavy like the cool kids. Other personal trainers never seemed to pay attention to me and just gave me stuff to do. Vannessa actually checks your form and knows when to push you further and when you have you step back. This isn't even the best part! For me, flexibility is the lynch pin that keeps my fitness journey going. My schedule is weird so my availability changes weekly sometimes daily, Vannessa is able to make those adjustments with me so I can stay committed.

Clean great and friendly place. Location is absolutely perfect right off the thruway. It’s easy to tell how dedicated and committed Vannessa is to training all her clients as well as her self. I worked with Vannessa for over a year, and I have no regrets. I've clearly gotten stronger and more confident because of the personalized training plans she provided. What I liked best about working with Vannessa, is that she understands that lifting isn't my entire life. I work full time, I have two kids and a life outside of the gym. She understands that I have roughly 3-4 hours a week to exercise, and she tailors programming so I can do it. And sometimes when I don't have my 3-4 hours, we adjust our plans and move on.
