4.5/5 ⭐️Wish they got different smith machines because the bar does not go down all the way. The one that does is a weighted bar so it’s hard to use for a hip thrust / RDL. Especially if ur a beginner. The hip thrust machine is not short people friendly. Also cable machines are old and a little bent up. I transferred from planet fitness and they do have better equipment there for the $15 monthly payment but it is what it is!! The place has a charm..and a dog 😉 I’m also seeing new benches which makes me happy, tells me they are starting to upgrade their equipment. Praying for new dumbbell rack LOL. But I recommend this gym! Everyone is so nice here.

It’s a convenient gym and the staff are amazing! It’s just the building itself and the equipment and dumbbells is run down for the price you pay monthly. Water leaks every time it rains which concerns me with mold… and it smells a little. AC could be better in the treadmill room. Bathroom stall door is broken too…This place has potential to upgrade but it’s very old school which could be ur cup of tea. Hoping for the price we pay they update soon. I will keep going bc the staff seem like they do care a lot for the ppl that enter the gym & it’s the only one in pawling.

Awesome place to train. Loads of equipment. Plenty of plates so you don't have to go searching. I'm a member at 4 gyms including this one. I love that it's truly 24/7/365. Everything is always functional and clean.
Updated in 2025, and it's still as good as ever now with new cardio equipment.

Tried canceling my gym membership and was told about a policy that prevented me from canceling my membership.

After proper review I came to the conclusion this was both a violation of new incoming laws

And unfair and deceptive practice under the federal consumer protection laws

After expressing consistent requests to continue to cancel my membership this gym is still charging me six months later.

We are at the point where we feel legal is our only response, they have not returned several voice mails over the last few months.

Also as someone who actively tries to go to the gym, the members of this gym are also extremely rude and do not leave people alone while they are working out.

Avoid this gym at all costs.

This gym has exceeded my expectations in every way! The equipment is modern and well-maintained, and there’s never a long wait for machines. The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming, making it easy to stay motivated. The personal trainers are fantastic—professional, supportive, and they really push you to reach your goals. I’ve been coming to this gym on and off for 10 years. I finally decided to take my health more seriously and I’ve been coming 5-6 days a week. I love this gym, it’s very clean, lots of great equipment, staff is super kind, locker rooms showers and sauna is always super clean. Not to mention this gym has the lowest price around!!! The only thing that bothers me which isn’t the gyms fault, is the younger men that stay on machines for sometimes over an hour, watching videos on their phone. I have limited time for my workouts and sometimes I can’t use machines I want to use because there’s only one and young guys are on them literally the entire time I’m there. Maybe there could be a sign that during idle times they not use the machines as a chair, or leave their water bottle to claim the machine while they are doing other machines. It’s just rude. I only notice this with the younger crowd.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this gym. As a college student, I always look forward to working out when I’m home for the summer. I used to go to Gold's Gym, but one day I decided to try World's Gym instead. That turned out to be a huge mistake. The workout area had a terrible smell, and the equipment was both filthy and of poor quality.

When I moved out and needed to cancel my membership, the situation only got worse. Despite canceling in person, they continued to charge me. When I called to resolve the issue, they claimed I never canceled. I even had to provide legal documents to prove I was moving just to avoid driving over an hour to work out. If I could give zero stars, I would.

A family owned health club for over 30 years. Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff. A wide range of programs, equipment, healthy shake bar, and spotless locker rooms. Positives: Great gym, 24 hours, plenty of options, locker room is decent, sauna, most cardio stuff is upstairs which I love.

Meh: No windows downstairs, not really a complaint but definitely varies depending on what you like.

Downsides: sometimes very busy but never too busy. wish there were more cable fly/individual machine cables set up.

What is happening with this gym? So many people come in after 8pm, and they r just waiting for someone to get out so they can go in. No one has cards. Its becoming too crowded. Used to be relaxing, now its nothing but stress. Dissapointed. If the gym is open 24 hours then you should have staff there for 24 hrs to stop free loaders. They r also rude. I’ve been a member for years and it was never this bad.

Very antiquated and roof leaks and no one wipes the floor up or puts towels down. I currently only signed up for a month just because it's the closest gym while I'm in between homes. Desk people are friendly though. Locker room doesn't have phone signal and your not "allowed" on your phone in them even if there was Smh

I love the atmosphere here. It's not a bright upbeat teeny bopper gym where everyone is looking in the mirror half the time. Go in, do your work without judgement and get insight from other people. The weights are old and metal and you have to do the math to figure them out and that's what makes this place great. There's plenty of amenities and they even do tire flipping outside. There's classes and cardio machines upstairs but walking down to the dungeon is my cardio. The price is right and the staff is great too!

Very unprofessional, the girl who works the front counter (Tracy) does not know how to do her job whatsoever. They didn’t care at all that I paid six months in advance for a gym membership and didn’t even get to go to the gym because of the pandemic she just kept repeating back to me that there are no refunds and that there’s nothing she can do about it. Didn’t sound genuine at all whatsoever and didn’t even care to try to help me. When I mentioned that it is not fair because there was a pandemic and they should refund customers who were not able to go to the gym because of that, she teasingly remarked “well its not my fault or problem that there was a pandemic”. If it was a least a decent person working the front counter who could explain the situation a lot nicer and more genuine I would not be writing this review.

Doesn't fit customer like me, I went there and experienced for 3 times and paid the membership fee, but after that I forgot this thing, and never went there any more, around 7 months passed, I suddenly noticed that I was charged the fee every month, and wanted to cancel the membership service, and wanted to get the money back, but the employee is so mean, and told me everything about legally...
That's a good business idea, since there are many customers like me just go to gym for several times passionately, but cannot insist due to many reasons, so obligatory 12-months commitment is a very smart idea. They must earn a lot without services.
My recommendation is to be very very careful before you sign the 12 months commitment! That's a serious decision!
Anyway, bad experience for me.

I had to cancel because I moved away and even though I was cancelling at the beginning of the month (the 8th), they still charged me for that month.
I could have waited to cancel at the end of the month but I wasn't using it anyways due to location.

Go to do work and this place has what you need to get it done. Everything from cycle room to gear shop the weights are downstairs for those who don't want to lift weights you don't even need to see them. Lockers on both floors and cardio room next to them. I can't recommend this gym enough to anyone that is looking for a place to go and get your business done. At the end of the day everyone that's there is there to do the same.

World gym is good. But good always be better. Which is why I am not giving it a 5-star rating. It is a 24-hour, which is amazing. I don't have to worry about anyone kicking me out at any given time. It is also fairly affordable. They have a wide array of free weights, benches and machines. My only gripe is the locker room. It could be a bit cleaner and bigger.
