If an instructor is sick, the considerate move is to cancel class, NOT wait until the room is full and start by circling closely and touching people (and reformers) while explaining in a nasally voice how sick she’s been. No thanks, Emma

One of the best Pilates classes I have taken in a long time. I thought the space was great and the class challenged me just the right amount. My instructor (i think her name was Jordan) was extremely knowledgeable and made sure I got the most out of the class. Will absolutely be back

Yesss wundaaa!!!! I am a shaky, wobbly, uncentered girl just trying to be a pilates princess or at least be able to hold a plank - this class actually did it for me!! Most classes are really intense or too fast paced. Jordan’s class was AMAZING and I was able to keep up and get a good work out in. I felt challenged but not pushed out of my comfort zone, which is a great way to learn a new discipline. She offered helpful corrections when necessary (after asking for approval) and simply made the class feel fun and NOT intimidating. Will be back to this studio where I genuinely feel supported while getting a great work out in!

This studio should not allow you to book on ClassPass if you’re going to turn folks away. I have taken hundreds of reformer and mega former classes and booked a class through ClassPass but was turned away because I’d never attended Wundabar before. If this is your policy do not make the class available to be booked on ClassPass! Terrible experience

First the bare facts: I signed up for class via Classpass. I am 14 weeks pregnant. The instructor did not allow me to take class because I am pregnant. For context, I am barely out of my first trimester, not showing, and told her only because she asked me if I had anything going on with my body. I am a regular solidcore attendee, a Peloton fanatic, and generally fit with no complications. She kicked me out of an (empty) class and told me I had to take a $90 prenantal private before taking any classes. Meanwhile, I was literally the only student in class. They then reported me as missing to Classpass, resulting in a charge of $31 to my account.

Second the commentary: Wundabar you should be unbelievably ashamed of yourselves. It's hard enough to get yourself out of bed 14 weeks pregnant and to an early morning workout class. But to do that, only to be discriminated against by the instructor and refused to be allowed to take class, is unconscionable. Of course, it's even more hysterical because I was the only person in class- no one else had shown up! I could have had my unneeded prenatal private right then. But apparently your business model is inconspicuously up-charging pregnant women. No wonder you have no other customers. You are a discriminatory and corrupt business and should be shut down.

And by the way, after I got kicked out of an empty Pilates class, I went home and took a 30 minute peloton ride followed by 30 minutes of lifting heavy weights. And yes, I kicked ass. And yes, I did so despite being pregnant. And yes, it was a better workout than I'm sure I would have had with Wundabar.

Have been coming here since I got cleared after my ACL surgery last year (doing PT as well). All instructors have been lovely and really helped me get my knee back to normal! Love this studio 💕

I posted a review on Yelp and it was removed. My post contained a warning to patrons of Wundabar in Brooklyn Heights that one of the instructors made international news for assaulting a 2-year-old baby and then the police who responded to the scene. I would want to know this if I was going to workout at this location. Wundabar should do pre-employment screenings. Having this woman as an employee would make me so uncomfortable.

Laura is a gem, and I loved tonight’s class led by her. She was super attentive and has a positive, joyful disposition. I appreciated that she coached me and the other ladies in the class through some corrections and modifications. I’ve been to this WundaBar location a few times before, but tonight was my first time taking one of Laura’s classes. I’ll definitely be back, and hope to have her as an instructor again!

as a longtime yoga practitioner, i absolutely love the precision of wundabar movements. working with the resistance of the wundaformer ensures that you're always challenged. wish i could take the class everyday!

Love this place! Have taken a number of classes here with different instructors. The workout is def challenging but rewarding - highly recommend trying it out! If you’ve done reformer Pilates before, the class is pretty intuitive to follow.

Also as other reviews have noted, be sure to bring grip socks!

I wrote a review for Wundabar a few weeks ago, and it looks like it's been removed, which is upsetting. I showed up to class a few weeks ago and was turned away because I was 11 weeks pregnant. I was bummed out, as I usually love their quick reformer classes. They said that in order to take class, I'd have to pay $250 for a "prenatal private", even though I am a fitness instructor and am certified in prenatal instruction. I won't be coming back to Wundabar.

Marta’s classes are the best. She gives excellent cues and corrections and is very diligent walking around the room making adjustments. I would say the pace is between classical Pilates and those megareformer studios like SLT. My only “complaint” is the class does become a little repetitive. If you have done intermediate / advanced Pilates you are exposed to a wide variety of moved on a reformer / chair. WundaBar is always hard but it seems we do very similar moves every time: planks, pike to planks, jumping from jumpboad, squats etc. the point is the machine is great, the instructors (esp Marta) are great but there’s room for more variety in exercises.

My absolute favorite workout. The classes are quite challenging but not too challenging to keep up and the instructors are motivating and fun. I love the class, the vibe, and the community of this studio, absolutely recommend.

FAVORITE pilates studio with amazing instructors and challenging classes! So far I have taken classes by Marta and Thea and their classes always have been the best. They give great form adjustments and offer different variations on forms so you can challenge yourself depending on your strength level.
Also, grip socks are mandatory on pilates reformer classes and barre classes so make you wear it for the class or al least read Wundabar’s guideline ;)

READ FIRST! Taken many Pilates classes and never had a required “sock” for safety purposes. If you don’t have grip socks you have to purchase them to practice. It’s a clear $20 upsell & the bury it in the T&Cs. It’s their “mandatory” policy that they have made up to peddle their overpriced ankle socks. I was sent away from the class I had already paid for because my socks were not appropriate. Was not refunded for the class or any consolation. Also I was told “not to review” but it’s valuable info for other people to know before getting into the same situation.

I was so excited to join this boutique but unfortunately im giving it a one star. The workout was not challenging but the worse part is the policy of having to wear a specific kind of SOCK to use their regular machine. A sock that if you don't own, need to purchase at Wundabar for 20$ (more than what I paid for the class btw). Talking about gimmicky... I do pilates/reformer often & never before have I encountered this. If this is your policy though, please accept Apple Pay or have an actual POS device in hand. Not all your customers come with their wallet for a workout
