About the Club

Y7 Studio is sweat dripping, beat bumping, candlelit yoga. All studios are heated to 80-90 degrees using state-of-the-art infrared technology, which helps create a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility. Classes are paced to the beat of the music to drive the breath, with tracks from varied artists and genres. We practice in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors to encourage you to turn your focus inward and explore your individual practice. We flow together, we flow hard.

Amazing class. Was my firat time. Chloe has great energy and teaches in a way that anyone could grasp the exercises. Love that it’s heated, but tolerable. Ankle weights were a new thing for me and it stepped up the whole workout. Will definitely go back.

Heads up - single classes at Y7 expire within 7 days. Yes, you read that correctly - 7 days! I booked a class, got the flu so rescheduled it to the following week to discover that their classes expire within 7 days of purchase with no exceptions. After having attended class at Y7 for 10+ years across a number of different studios I can confidently say I will not return. There is no good reason for a class to expire within 7 days other than to take money from customers.

I have loved this studio and its classes for over a year, but am appalled at how I was treated today. I arrived two minutes late after running over a mile to get to the studio following a delayed train. The staff refused to let me in or make any exception for the circumstances. I recognize the goal of the policy, but the studio would do well to keep the end goal in mind while also being reasonable in extenuating circumstances. I hope they have more respect for their customers in the future.

Do not sign up for their memberships. They instruct you to fill out a form to cancel but proceed to take money out of your account without your consent regardless. They steal from their customers and I recommend you buy memberships from yoga studios that are more ethical.

Marissa Was an amazing instructor. It’s been a while since I’ve taken a class and the guidance was great super thankful. The only thing I wish is that people who are taking the class would not come to the class feeling sick because they’re getting other people sick. But I guess that’s hard to control because it’s The person who is sick who must reflect and think about other people, not themselves.

Absolutely love Y7! Miranda Pontes is the BEST teacher and always has an incredible playlist. Her class is my favorite! Great workout especially in the winter — the room gets hot (and it’s awesome!) The front desk staff are also super nice and helpful! Thanks you all!

i wasn’t a fan of the pop music they played during the flow—it really took away from the spiritual and meditative aspect of the practice. i felt like the class lacked intention and connection. i also didn’t love how the instructor was more of an audio guide, giving cues without visually demonstrating the poses. for me, it just didn’t feel as immersive or grounded as i was hoping.

Because I’m a regular at Y7 studios across the city, I rarely write reviews (I just leave 5 star ratings on classpass each time…) but I HAD to leave a review for Nick. His class was truly so awesome. One of the best (if not the best) Y7 instructors I’ve had the pleasure of taking. The flows were hard and designed to get you sweating, but they also made you feel strong. Nick’s voice was so calming and he provided some awesome adjustments/modifications throughout class. Really such an awesome class. Thank you nick!!!

Studio isn't that hot, music is annoying, instructors are all around mid, and the door policy is inconsistent. I've been in classes where people have come in late, but have also been locked out for being 2 min late.

The locker area and the studio were both extremely crowded. I think they book classes to start within 5 minutes of another class ending. The class itself is in a very dark room, which makes it difficult to balance since you can't find a point of concentration, and at points in the class the instructor played super loud club music. It just wasn't what I was looking to get out of a yoga class. It felt like spin class meets yoga in a way I didn't enjoy.

The shared space was clean and stocked (deodorant, bags for wet clothes should you need it, wipes for your face, hair ties). There’s lockers for you to put your bag in. The check in was quick and easy and they were polite and kind. The class was great. Just what I needed. A slower a flow in a hot room.

I was really excited about this place, but the customer service has been poor (or rather, it was good, and then definitely unpleasant). I signed up for a Thanksgiving deal, but the staff were unable to find my MindBody account. MindBody assured them that my account was in good standing, and the Y7 staff assured me that I would still get the holiday pricing once we figured out the issue. After a few failed attempts to link my MindBody account, Y7 insisted that I create a new account using the same email address as my old account. That new account wiped out all my previous MindBody gym accounts, and as soon as they finally linked it to Y7, one of the managers decided that it was too late to honor the holiday pricing, despite several emails from Y7 staff promising the contrary, despite the repeated headache of having to email and come in person to try to resolves the issue, and despite the disruption to my regular MindBody account. I can understand not wanting to honor promotional pricing if someone was late to register, but I reached out within the promotion dates, all indications are that the MindBody error was on their end, and they made repeated promises that they would honor the pricing if I jumped through the hoops they thought would fix the registration error. After all that, I got a one sentence email saying they changed their minds about the pricing, and haven't responded to my requests for clarification.

I've been attending this studio since it first opened and though I've been practicing for 20 years, this was my favorite location for hot yoga. I love the whole ethos of it being a diverse, inclusive, judgement-free community and the sensory-friendly low mood lighting.

Unfortunately the instructors have been hit or miss recently, whether it's inexperience or character. I have the serious icks after overhearing one instructor in particular who usually teaches Saturday mornings loudly gossip and s***-talk about her students after class with whom I'm guessing is a fellow instructor for the next class, including name-calling. They don't even wait until all the students have left the facilities to be discreet about it it. She does it so loudly that it's audible from the bathroom and the changing rooms. I'm shocked that she is so comfortable doing this. I’ve also seen her chill on her phone in class. It's incredibly disrespectful to yoga culture and the brand y7 markets. There must be something wrong with management that allows her to feel this comfortable with behaving like this so openly - it's unacceptable.

For now I will be avoiding Saturday morning classes and this instructor but I may move to Heatwise after my class pack is done. y7 should be more discerning about training your instructors to be more respectful and behave like professional adults. Sharing and teaching a yoga practice should be honored as a privilege and service.

Cozy yoga studio, but not your orthodox yoga where teacher talk about mindfulness as they guide you. Classes are paced to the beat of the music to drive the breath. The practice is in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors, which I personally love as it encourage to turn the focus inward and explore individual practice and attune to your body. Be advise that this is a power flow in extremely heated room. So, be prepared to leave soaking in your sweat & maybe neighbors 😅 as they are in a very close proximity. The yoga classes in this studio feel like a HIIT workout. You have to be on time otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the classroom. The staff is trying to keep the facility clean, though the floor in the bathroom as almost always wet, which doesn’t feel great to be stepping on without a shoes on.

Elise was incredible! Loved the class and smooth, fun flow. Fellow class passers, make sure you note that this is a candlelit class with loud pop/hip hop music. Personally I love it, but it is not the yoga style for everyone. Also make sure you understand the mat rental prices to avoid disappointment. I was traveling and visiting NYC from abroad so I was thankful for the option to rent since I couldn’t bring my mat with me. Y7 is one of my fave yoga studios, and I’ve been to more than 30+ studios all around the world. Enjoy the class!

As others mentioned , what they practice here is not yoga . It may be a good workout for some , but this is is no way yoga . Get ready for music as loud as in any bar . they turn it all the way up . I tried this location and the one in Williamsburg as I bought a package and both studios were equally loud and awful . I would not send an enemy here .

Sad excuse for a yoga studio . Just call yourself a nightclub complete with the condescending attitude of people who work at a nightclub . I asked about the music before I came - they assured me it was background music. No . The music is so loud you can’t hear your own breath and the room is only slightly hot. I have been practicing yoga since 1997 and teaching for over a decade . This is not yoga . This is garbage .

Tacky and tasteless establishment. I was 6 min late to a class and they would barely let me in the front door. The front desk attendant took her time letting me in after I practically ran 2 miles to get here after work.

They must hire pretentious staff because this woman talked down to me like I wasn’t already aware that I was late. I have a phone and a watch! Things happen. They also made me feel bad for booking with a Classpass. I will never go to a Y7 Studio again and I’ll make sure to give negative reviews to anyone I meet. Should have known this place would be filled with condescending snobs. It’s located in Park Slope where they all live!

A word of caution before taking a class here! I had a similar experience to the reviewer below: I was 2 minutes late to class and not allowed to enter. I was told that my spot was given away (even though I had booked in advance). I’ve been to many yoga studios across the city and never experienced such an unforgiving policy.

Y7 is by far the best experience ive ever had in a yoga studio. The front desk staff was warm and accommodating, and my instructor Katelyn was really really good. I am a NYC studio lover and I have to say Y7’s website is VERY shady, before u check out a single class, it leads u directly to confirm without a place to put the promo code. After the charge, there is no way to refund or call them, after finding their phone number to call them from another source, there is no answer during anytime.
I’ve been to more than 20 studios in Manhattan and Brooklyn and this one is THE WORST experience so far.
Strongly wondering why this business still exist.
