I have been a student of Danielle's for over a decade. As a disabled person I was hesitant to try yoga, Danielle never blinked, she made me feel welcome and invited me to study all aspects of Yoga and invited me to attend the many different classes she offered. The style of yoga is authentic, and Danielle conveys these teaching with reverence and a deep understanding of their usefulness and power. The path is not always easy, but Danielle always seems to give you encouragement when you need it most.

I hope to continue learning from Danielle and the Foundation for years to come!

Danielle is a gifted yoga practitioner. Unlike conventional classes, she offers personalized sessions where she listens carefully and crafts personalized practices that address body and spirit.

She has a deep knowledge of yogic traditions and creates a therapeutic and compassionate environment.

I give her my highest recommendation. If you are looking for more than just a yoga class but rather yoga as a healing art, you will find it here.

The beginner’s yoga class taught by Sidé was at the right pace and depth of effort got me as a 70 year old. Sidé was clear in her instructions and provided a good foundation of what yoga is about and how I will benefit from the practice. I recommend her class without reservation.

I began practicing all different types of yoga on and off for 15 years ago for the purpose of reducing stress and anxiety. Recently I felt an inner yearning to learn more about how yoga is used in healing me both physically and mentally. I began to search for someone who taught yoga philosophy and meditation along with the practice of yoga.
The old saying" When the student is ready the teacher will appear" is a perfect explanation as to how I found Danielle of Yoga Foundation.
For the past 18 months I have studied with Danielle. She is a dedicated teacher who is deeply commited to sharing the ancient and powerful tools of yoga.
The yoga classes, personalized yoga practice, study of yoga sutras and use of mantras have been instrumental in helping me to discover the essence of who I really am and to transcend the limitations of my mind.
I see myself and the world differently today and I believe it is due to the powerful ancient yoga teachings that Danielle has passed down to me.
Thank you Danielle

The yoga foundation is a great place to study and practice yoga if you are a beginner or a seasoned practioner. The style of yoga is authentic and true to the roots of this ancient practice. Danielle does a great job in assessing your needs and works within your own individual capacity. I highly recommend the foundation to get a start on this journey.

Yoga foundation will always have a special place in my heart. As a mom of young children the classes I have had access to have helped with all aspects of motherhood and life. I feel so safe and well supported by the knowledgeable teachers. I recommend this studio for beginners to advanced practitioners. There is something for everyone.

Yoga seems to be available everywhere these days, but Danielle Tarantola at Yoga Foundation on Long Island is offering the real thing - top quality Yoga teachings from the authentic and classical teachings of TKV Desikachar and T Krishnamacharya. I studied Yoga with Danielle in India and in the USA, and I can truly affirm that she and her Foundation are gifts to all who want to learn and practice Yoga. Whoever is within her reach is so lucky, and will never regret a moment spent with her.

I am going through another evolution in my yoga practice and Danielle is my guide this time. I am currently being challenged to slow down, find my breath in every moment, use it to lead my practice. I am learning new strategies for quieting my mind and body, for steadily connecting asanas with breath. I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and I am grateful for every second I spend on the mat. My practice with Danielle has been a true gift. I am currently finding joy and renewed focus. Thank you, Danielle!

I have been wanting to learn yoga for several years, but going to established classes always made me feel out of place and in more pain than when I entered. Taking Debbie’s class was exactly what I was looking for, a gentle introduction to the principles and benefits of yoga. I’m hoping that they have a continuation class so I can follow this journey!

I have been seeing Danielle for more than a year. She develops and updates a personal yoga practice for me periodically, that caters to my strengths and limitations. Having an individualized yoga practice has been very good for my physical and mental health. I recommend her quite highly.

Sunday morning Chair Yoga with Debbie from the Yoga Foundation is amazing! My family and I have done this particular class together and we find it gives us the tools/mind-set needed to begin our week. Relaxing yet empowering, energized yet tranquil and really fun to do as a family. Throughout the class, each clearly explained movement is calculated to directly benefit your body and mind. Overall, it is a beautiful experience not to be missed!

I have been taking chair yoga once a week with Debbie Fratello as my guide. It’s a wonderful experience. At the very moment that you begin you feel more relaxed. Debbie always asks if we have any specific problems like a sore shoulder etc. etc. And then we work on that. It just starts the day off right

The Yoga Foundation is an excellent place to learn and practice yoga. I have worked with Danielle since 2006, and with her development of the Yoga Foundation, there have been so many wonderful classes and teacher trainings offered. She is a thoughtful yoga therapist, and her business follows in the roots of Krishnamacharya and his son, TKV Desikachar., in which the student is paired with a mentor to learn the many techniques and philosophies of yoga. The Yoga Foundation is really the place to practice yoga if you would like to learn the most authentic ways of the Yogi to improve your own life, and those around you.

I am so grateful to practice at the Yoga Foundation with Danielle Tarantola. After practicing yoga for 12 years I discovered this studio when seeking to deepen my practice and heal after a personal tragedy. The authentic and therapeutic yoga combined with the warm community I found at Yoga Foundation truly glued me back together. This is my life long yoga home and family.

After about 15 years of yoga in different yoga studios, I came to the Yoga Foundation and Danielle Tarantola. Danielle's classes and style of teaching are distinctly different from the general one-fits-all. These classes and practices are personalized and customized to the students and while at first they may seem 'easy', about half way through the class you realize that your body is working, your mind is calming down and afterwards you are relaxed as well as energized. Danielle also teaches amazing kids' classes and a variety of more or less challenging classes. Go and try it, you won't be disappointed!

Danielle is a fabulous teacher. She is incredibly knowledgeable about yoga and chanting. She has a deep knowledge of traditional yoga that she uses to individualize practices for each student, even in a group setting. My practice went from one in which I was always hurting some part of my body, to a practice that was healing physically and emotionally.. I learned so much in the 500 hour teacher training. Not only do I enjoy teaching, it has influenced every part of my life.

I first took a class with Danielle almost 20 years ago. I immediately knew her teachings were imbued with great wisdom and offered so much more than a physical practice. Since that time I have practiced many different styles of yoga always coming back to Danielle and Yoga Foundation. I have learned from all my teachers. But, learning with Danielle is learning from the deep wisdom and knowledge within ourselves. When it was time for me to take yoga teacher training I studied with Danielle. This training has brought more meaning and health into my life in every way. Every week I witness people's lives healing and transforming at yoga foundation. Most importantly, this tradition of yoga is wonderful for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
