It's a gym but I called to have a membership canceled because life is busy and I'm not paying for something I'm not going to use. They said I had to come up there in person to cancel my membership which isn't respectful of a customer's time So if you want your time valued I wouldn't choose this place.

Best gym ever!!! The back room has a large turf area with a garage door that opens when it’s warm ~ a total vibe. Two other rooms in the front with everything you could ever need — including a hip thrust machine 🙏 They also have a little cafe with protein shakes 🥹 Add in the most kind staff and community of gym rats, and this place is top-tier. And for $17.76 a month?! Won’t go anywhere else.

Great staff! Dedicated, yet friendly environment. 1776 is exactly the place Statesville needed. I love the 24/7 access so I can go anytime. Great for all levels of experience.

Quality equipment made in America and a lot of it! This place makes you want to blast “Born in the USA” while pumping some iron with fellow patriotic Americans! Great atmosphere, their playlist is usually on point, and their protein smoothies in the back are too good to pass up! And did I mention the affordability… $17.76/month! No competition in Statesville even comes close to your bang for the buck.

I had a membership for a while 1yr plus, several indirect and direct incidents of unfair and bias treatment. Seems to be racism, I'm polite, clean up after myself, and don't bother anyone. Only difference is being black with tattoos. I guess the staff and patrons assumed I couldn't hear them but on several occasions they watched my workout on a heavybag and made negative, derespectful, and violent remarks towards me ("he showing off", " He's scary, I would shoot em"). To the point when one staff member made note of my vehicle when parking in the rear, so I doubled back and moved it after hearing him ("that his car right there...."). Heard through other members secretly that they were even considering getting rid of the bags in hopes that I would leave. Last straw was the final incident when a employee making shakes told two customers she moved from her station because I came to work the bags near her (all three a different race than me). I politely let her know I heard her, and later she processed me ending my membership. They boast values of freedom and Bible verses all over the walls there but, some of the staff needs to wear those values a lot better, racism doesn't fit in either. That's about how they viewed blacks in 1776 though right.... African American patrons be careful there.

I've been coming here occasionally for several months now and it's probably the best all around gym I've been to. Between the low cost of membership, the condition of the building/equipment, the quality of equipment, and the atmosphere it is great. The only thing I can really fault them on is sometimes getting crowded and hard to move around in but that is mostly my fault for arriving during after work hours.

This is a great gym that's also 24 hours, which is great since I work 2nd shift. The equipment here is all brand new, and rather you come here to get an upper or lower body workout. There is more than enough free weights, and machines to get the job done.

Been going to this gym for over a year now and can honestly say there isn’t a better facility anywhere around. High quality equipment, clean environment, great staff, everything about this gym is integrated with intentionality, right down to the soap dispensers. The low membership cost, lack of standard BS “fees” and fine print just makes this place that much more appealing. I moved about 30 mins away from Statesville 6 months ago but I still drive the distance to go to this gym even though there are closer facilities to me. Also, pretty sure just training at this gym adds about a 5% increase to all your lifts…bottom line, this place is worth it, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Amazing gym, always getting in brand new equipment, not just used stuff that's been repainted. They have the best equipment that I've seen at any gym. Great atmosphere, staff is the best around, smoothies are well thought out and actually healthy. They genuinely care about the members and continue to grow.
