I love and miss this gym! The owner is so great and kind. The gym is always very clean and well maintained. Equipment is always very organized and where it should be. The gym has grown a lot, and it is very spacious now with so much new equipment. Kerry is great with keeping things up to date. The membership is super affordable too! You really do get a bang for your buck for a great quality gym. I could not recommend this gym enough to people in Hendersonville!!!

Amazing layout with new machines. Clean & 24/7. Several different areas for training. And an extra room for major weight training for $10 more per month. They have personal trainers too. Quick service. Too quick, but thank you kindly. Gave me the tab for my keyring showed me how to use it and that it is delayed. Thank you for letting me know that. Asked me why I wanted to work out. I told him I needed to get off the couch. Nice room to purchase drinks and merch. Awesome art on walls. Fresh paint. Has showers. No tanning beds or massage chairs, but it works for me. One month here was only $60. They have other plans with discounts for 3,6,9,12 months. I loved there keiser bike in the first room. Read safety signs. They also post recipes. Maybe add a suggestion box or comments/question box for those whom are their on different hours to have recipe suggestions? Great customer service from both guys.

The owner is a complete fake and greedy joke..I was one of his few customers during covid I left few years later but allowed them to take membership fee out my account automatically for 2 years in which I didn't once go and they knew it because u have to scan in to enter. My debit card got stolen a few months ago so my fee didn't cone out they call to let me know im 2 months behind I asked if he could let that slide since I'd been paying him free money for 2 years 4 all together but 2 years in which I never once went but instead of doing what most normally business owners would do he called me nonsense and told me how I should talk and then tried tacking on numerous other bs fees to make my balance even higher and I told them I live in Virginia now but to cancel i have to give 30 day notice in person. The guy writes vulgar messages on paper and sticks it up all over gym instead of just coming to the person LIKE A MAN and asking them to stop whatever it is he doesn't like. So not a place for young people or people who want to be treated fair! I wouldn't recommend this guy to do anything or his business to anyone he is HORRIBLE! THE GYM WAS A VERY GOOD GYM THO AS FAR AS EQUIPMENT WISE BUT IF THIS IS HOW HE TREATS PEOPLE I DON'T SEE IT LASTING MUCH LONGER. KARMA IS REAL UNLIKE THIS GUY

Recently changed up Gym’s due to the amount of traffic going to my other one in Asheville. This Gym as well Price, good staff and amazing equipment. I appreciate the separate powerlifting area as well as the three other rooms that are divided clean locker rooms and gym equipment area always much appreciated. Kickboxing, cardio, powerlifting, free weights and much more offered.

I had a great experience with Alpha Fitness and especially with Kerry. Even though I wasn’t able to use the gym as much as I’d hoped, the facility was always clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. When it came time to cancel my membership, Kerry went above and beyond to make the process smooth and fair. He was respectful, professional, and understanding every step of the way. It’s rare to find that level of integrity in a business these days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alpha Fitness to anyone looking for a solid gym and a team that truly values its members.

Unbelievable, when I walked in to look at the gym I was asked to leave for looking at the equipment. Sexist and extremely agressive. These people should not be in Business! The man who is the owner said we don’t want you working out here. No hello, no offer of a tour. Fair warning

Save your money, do a search of other 24/7 gyms in the area. By the way, they charge a $30 cancellation fee and you MUST wait the full contractual time before you can cancel. The owner is unethical and purposefully does not explain the fine print in the contract. I felt overcharged and when I followed the contract to cancel at the end of my term the owner became verbally abusive and physically confrontational, yelling profanities. I still had 30 days on my contract but after the horrible customer service I felt I could not go back in the place without being harassed. Furthermore, I would check what others are saying. BBB rates this business as "F" for some of the same reasons I stated here.
UPDATE - I have been a member of Planet Fitness since this instance and have been happy and had absolutely no issues!

UPDATE to owner's response - Huh, looks like the reviews speak for themselves. New name, same owner? If you are a new owner, then unfortunately you inherited the previous reviews. From your response, it does not seem like much changed. Instead of saying "We are new ownership, please give us a try" you make more poor excuses for atrocious behavior. You want a better review from me, make a change for the better.

They talked my daughter into a “student summer contract” last summer. Charged full rates and now trying to collect on monthly fees from someone who’s 2200 miles away by sending harassing and threatening emails.

Based on my experience, a dishonest operation that completely misrepresented their contract to someone who trusted them. They collected 6 months from us for 3 months of use, but apparently they’re not satisfied with that.

Go anywhere else. Not worth the hassle, and you can’t trust them.

Response: lots of people seem to not understand your ”policies.” And she definitely learned a lesson about not trusting people and to read the fine print.

If I could give a -⭐️ I would. First they try to make it impossible to close your membership. Then after you close your membership they still charge your bank card. Months later they start charging you again and don’t respond when you contact them. Note to everyone, only use credit cards so you can dispute the charge and get your money back. What a piece of trash person that runs a business that way.

They closed the location near me that I worked out at with no heads up what so ever. There was just a sign on the door one day. I get it though, maybe it was unexpected, times are tough after all. However they then proceeded to continue to charge me membership fees. Currently I am trying to get said fraudulent charges off of my credit report. It is proving quite difficult. Be wary of this place. I just feel that I signed an agreement with a certain location. So if that location closes then I feel all contracts signed there should be null and void. And if people wanted to sign back up at their other location then they can drive out there and do it. For me to work out at their other facility would have required me to drive 50 miles to get there. Which is unreasonable.

I was told that with a week's membership that it would be $35. My son is home for a week from the Marines, and he wanted to use a gym while home. I was told over the phone that it is 24/7 access with the membership. I was also told the same thing at the center. After they charge me $70 for my son, and myself I find out that I only get access during the day. Now, for the good things. Gym is very clean without that hospital smell. Plenty of equipment to use. Lots of free weights. A few TV's to watch for people who use the treadmills and such.

Warm and friendly atmosphere been a member for years, I am a member that pay but don't attend! That is a whole different personal issue! 🤣 love the staff, right now I am looking for spin and exercise classes, which this gym does not offer as of this review. I am not into structured traditonal muscle toning and weight lifting. I leave that to the professionals! Lol! Other than that this gym is very accomodating, spacious, clean and worth the time to check out! Plus they are 24-7, so convenient for any schedule.

Go here if you wanna pay hundreds of dollars for barely any customer service and they most definitely don’t clarify to you how much they charge you for a year agreement so be careful. Planet fitness has a better deal go there….his reply is a lie because if he didn’t have a name he wouldn’t be charging my bank account monthly..he is also refusing to close out my contract and stating it was a two year contract when I know for sure it was only a year contract. Do not go here.

I enjoy this gym very much. I've had no issue whatsoever.

The people that complain about the contract agreement have no leg to stand on. When u sign a contract...that is just that a contract that u have to abide.

My husband I thought we had found a nice quiet gym that was close to our house. They let the property go and eventually closed the location we went to. We tried to go to their other one but it was out of our way and no longer wanted to be a member. They said the only way to cancel was in person. I tried to call over 5 times to let them know that I physically could not come in as I wasn't in the area anymore. They continued to charge my card and I eventually stopped payment from my automatic payment. They let months of back payment stack up and sent it to collections saying I didn't pay! Mind you the membership was only $30 a month and they are saying I over $200!
Very poor ownership. Would not recommend. Oh and the best part, they aren't even open.

Horrible owner. Once owned the body shop on upward road and scammed people out of so much business. The owners were not on the same page so when I told them I was going to be under military orders in another country the one owner politely cancelled my contract. When I returned home over a year and a half later I went into the gym which is now (alpha fitness) looking for Pre-workout . The owner who was not aware of the agreement I had made with the other owner(because they did not get along) told me I owed him 400 dollars and that if I did not pay it he would report to collections. If you go to this gym beware of shady ownership and bipolar management.

This is an amazing gym and the new owner has made many upgrades in the facility. You may read a few negative reviews on here about the club enhancement fees but these are just people that complain because they failed to listen to the owner or the desk attendants at the time of sign up. I was made well aware of the club enhancement fees and was told the exact date they would be taken out of my account. So when you’re signing up here or anywhere that has a contract listen to what they’re saying and ask questions, it’s not hard. But on a positive note I’ve been a member of this gym since it was built and I use to be unhappy with the maintenance of the club but after the new owner has made some changes I can say that it is the best gym in town by far. If you want a club that gives you the ability to train hard and have a great environment this is it. They even have a powerlifting room and a cardio theatre (great for the people who like to do cardio privately). I couldn’t ask for more out of a gym or a gym owner.

Alpha Fitness is a fun gym! The atmosphere is great! All age groups, everyone feels welcome. The staff engages the members with fun banter, or just a simple hello or goodbye to brighten your day! Good little gym until they over charge every month, then hit you with a gym upgrade charge for every person on your account.....witch with my family makes an extra 100 bucks out of the account....so many hassles once contracts up I will return to golds, at least I'm aware of all there charges up front. Great place for day workouts. Open 24 7 after you get a pass witch is great for people working this shift or late nights. You can bring a freind for a small fee. All the equipment it's kept up and great quality. The quantity is amazing as well. There's not just one but several machines to work every muscle in the body. Plus the standered bench and squat stations. Love the separate room just for treadmill and bicycles. They also have a kid room where your kid can wait as you work out.

Joined the gym to help me, Kevin, the owner, went out of his way to show me how I could best use what equipment for my Benefit. He has continued to go out of his way to ask how I'm doing, to discuss my dietary needs and hep me progress! I've lost almost 35 pounds so far!!!! I highly recommend this place!

I am a mother/college student/full time worker. I had never been to a gym before and I was really excited to start living a healthier life; I paid an entire year's membership with The body shop fitness center! I 100% regret that decision now! At first my only issue was that the locker room smelt like urine and I knew the showers were not regularly sanitized because I watched the same spiderweb sway in the wind as I washed my hair...it even became a personal joke. " I wonder if the spider web is gone today?"
But then things become really scary really fast. I was sexually harassed by the owner of this gym and I no longer feel safe going to workout. So now i am stuck in the situation of no gym to go to because it's not worth risking my safety over and I am out $ 400.00. I would demand a refund but by judging the previous reviews I figured I would only be risking my safety again by even asking for a refund. I don't want another women to be put in the shoes I am currently in. FIND ANOTHER GYM LADIES!!!!
