If i could give 0 stars i would. I am absolutely disgusted. When i signed up, i was never told it was a 2 year contract. I was told it was 23$ bi weekly. I would have never signed a 2 year contract. When you look up this problem on the web, you will find tons of members that came across the same issue. It was deceiving and slimy. Highly recommend against this gym.

I'm so bummed to write this as I had a good experience...until I canceled because I moved in April 2024.

I was told cancellation would be a breeze and that I would need to pay a small amount to cancel mine and my son's accounts. I asked how to do so, and responses stopped. They continued charging my card. In June 2024 (after several more attempts), I finally sent an email letting them know I was going to file fraud with my bank as I repeatedly requested cancellation with no response. Still received no response so I contacted my bank.

I recently received a collection notice for over $500 that I will gladly dispute as there is proof that I reached out several times without a response AFTER being told I could cancel.

Anytime Fitness is a great place for me to workout. It’s clean, well equipped and organized. Super convenient location and lots of parking.

Been training with personal trainer Aaron for over a year and great results. Aaron is the most knowledgeable trainer I’ve worked out with- he has helped me my body building journey making adjustments for my limitations including recovery from 2 non gym related surgeries.
I’ve always preferred smaller boutique styled gyms over bigger gyms that are usually crowded, not as clean, and lack the personal touch I prefer.

I've always been intimidated by gyms. I always felt like people were looking at me being awkward, even though they probably weren't. When I arrived at Anytime Fitness, I was even nervous that people would stare at me because I was in jeans and a hoodie, rather than workout clothing. The dumbest things were worrying me.

As soon as I walked in to sign up, ChrisDee greeted me cheerfully and helped me get a feel for the gym. Two days later, I had my fitness consultation with a personal trainer named Brandon, who I've now started seeing weekly, one on one. I've always wanted to be the type of person who has a personal trainer, and I can finally say that I do! Brandon is kind, patient, and good at pushing the limits, but not with so much intensity that it's unbearable (I'm working on healing my left shoulder, and he often checks in to make sure it isn't hurting).

I'm incredibly grateful to be a part of a 24 hour, smaller gym. I even like that Clint reaches out by text to encourage me, send training confirmations, etc. The staff are all compassionate and friendly, and that makes a huge difference.

I have been a member of this gym for close to 5 years. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I’m a neat freak and this gym passes my OCD requirements. The equipment is well maintained and the staff is outstanding. I travel throughout the USA and being a member of Anytime Fitness allows me to use gyms at many of my travel destinations. Gym is much more bigger than the other locations I've seen so far. Pretty much have everything I need to get a good workout. Only 1 star downgraded due to the free weights for barbells are mismatched. Would be nice to have them all the same set or see the gym get new sets coming in. Bathrooms are clean most of the time but there are some adults that can't seem to use the toilet correctly at times (like pee around toilet or on floor around it). Although bathroom does smell better than other gyms I've been to so plus for that. Great they have a water fountain to refill water. Overall this gym is good for a local gym to workout from as it is less than 5 minutes from my house and close to a few eateries to get your post workout meal from.

The Huntersville branch of Anytime Fitness is superb! From the moment I met ChrisDee and her staff, they were friendly, attentive, and incredibly encouraging. I never have any issues with equipment availability or floor space when I do mat exercises. The equipment itself is great quality, the entire place is always pristine, and the fellow gym goers are friendly and just there to better their health (not creep). I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to start or maintain their fitness journey because it works for all levels, not just physically but mentally as well because as I said, the staff is there to help and to cheer you on!

I love love this gym! Has that welcoming warm feeling, not intimidating at all. The owner Clint and ChrisDee are so nice, knowledgeable and always ready to listen to feedback. They offer classes at all times and for all fitness levels. You can even take classes without a membership $5-$10/class, but you might as well become a member it’s a much better deal. Equipment, Bathrooms and the whole gym is clean, modern and Smells Great (which is crazy for a gym, right?!? And did you see the encouraging quotes in the restroom 💙). Open 24/7. This gym is totally awesome I’ve been a member here since this gym opened. The owner Clint is a great guy and his family as well. I often stop in the office to tell them hello as I’m walking by as for they are all wonderful to conversate with. I literally asked Clint a question about a piece of equipment one day that he didn’t have ..... the next thing I know I seen him about a week later and he said hey by the way I ordered it and it will be here in a couple weeks! It’s the best gym we have in this entire area by far. I really enjoy my workouts there. He has multiple large TVs, I’m able to catch up on some of my TV shows while I’m running on the elliptical’s and doing some of my exercises.

The best of everything is how I would sum up Anytime Fitness. There’s plenty of cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) to use. Even during peak times you can usually find something to use. MixxFit and Zumba are my favorite classes because it’s like a fun workout party. Sam and Lareka are super nice and interactive, which makes working out not seem like a chore. There’s an array of weights and everyone uses them, so ladies you don’t have to feel intimidated. The staff is friendly and they do their best to create a fun atmosphere for members (challenges, prizes, etc.). 24-hours and multiple locations are added bonuses.

This gym is in a great location if you are in the Huntersville area. The dues are really affordable for such a nice facility. Clint (owner) is a great guy. I've had few dealings with him, but each time he was very focused on my satisfaction and customer experience. Even upon cancelling my membership because of an upcoming move, Clint processed my request quickly and efficiently. This is a huge burden lifted! Over the last 20 years, I've had 4-5 memberships at gyms in various cities and the cancellation process was ALWAYS a nightmare.

I love this gym. They have an awesome staff. Just the right machine options and equipment. I like some things like they sell drinks in a vending machine and shakes. They also have tanning. Good location close to shopping that I usually go too. There is a Walgreens nearby unless you need a bar to eat after an energetic workout. I would recommend this gym to most people I know. This gym is terrible! I was lied to about month to month membership fees and was told to wait until my contract was up but could have canceled anytime. I was then told that I would not be charged for the current month I cancelled and ended up being charged anyway. Be careful with the fine print and make sure you know what and when you are supposed to get charged. They will lie to you and corporate can't do anything about it because each gym is individually owned.

I am honestly not the type of person to ever post anything negative or positive online... but I was just browsing the web when I came across the negative reviews on here so I figured I would post because that's not right. I have been a member for about 9 months or so and I have had nothing besides great experience with the gym physically or the staff. The gym is always kept in a very clean state and I have yet to really get to know the owner or manager well due to my hours unfortunately but so far I have nothing but a very positive vibe from him. He has went up and beyond his way to help me whether its with questions or physical help. Also my billing is exactly what I signed up for (great deal) especially for a 24 hour gym.

I have been going to anytime fitness for about 3 years now and started going there right as the new manager, Clint, came in. I am a teacher and was a student when I first started going there and Clint has always gone above and beyond to work with me so that I can continue to afford to work out there. I love the fact that this gym is 24 hours and the gym rarely gets too busy- I can pretty much workout anytime that I want to and not have to worry about not getting to do cardio or getting on a machine that I want to use.

Even though the gym is small, the equipment there is high-end and there's a variety of machines and free weights to work with. Clint always asks for member opinions before he ever buys a new machine so that he can keep his gym up to date with what his members want to use, and he goes out of his way to buy new equipment WITH HIS OWN MONEY (like free weights, yoga mats, exercise balls, clocks, jump ropes, etc) so that gym members always have the best experience while at the gym. He even purchases t-shirts for gym members every so often just as a thank you for choosing his gym- where else do you get service like that?! I love working out here and will continue to do so for many more years. Thanks Clint!

I have been a member with Anytime Fitness since 2009. I loved the gym and the 24/7 access was convenient for busy professionals. The gym is quite small and during peak hours it can get extremely busy. The trainers that work there are rude to members who do not participate in personal training programs.

When I first joined the facility back in 2009 there was a lady who signed me up. She got up behind the desk opened the door and sat me down in her office. Went over the different membership options. Signed me up gave me a scan device to hang from my key chain and said "ok-were done, go look around and if you have any questions let me know" I was thinking to myself wow, I must be her 999 sign up for the day!

Then a guy named Clint started showing up ( I believe he is the new owner and or franchisee who invested in the franchise and took ownership.) Extremely nice, very customer service orientated and paid special attention to smaller details around the gym that made a nice difference. Nice guy, good personality and great energy.

About a week ago I went to cancel my memership because I have since moved away to an area that does not have a location near me. Given the fact that it was Sunday and he was not "technically working" he was just working out. He basically told me I do not handle that it is all handled through a third party company that process the billing and EFT's (ABC Financial). I told him that I loved the gym and hated that I moved to an area that did not have a location close to me. He basically wrote me off and said send in a 30 day notice to them not me because "I never check the mail here and I probably will never get to canceling your membership." I smiled and said ok thank you and left.

Ok, WOW! The one thing I love about people, business professionals, franchisee owners etc. in the Charlotte/Huntersville area is that no one goes the extra mile to help anyone anymore. We have all been conditioned to program our way of thinking to a favorite radio station I call WIIFM; What's in it for me.

I mean your a club owner and repeat business and reputation should mean everything to you. However since marketing, advertising and accounts payable receivable is handled through the coporate office, there is no need to invest anymore energy and time with a has been client. But hey, I give the guy credit, with all those memberships and eft's coming in what does one little non-paying member mean to him and his business.

I love the gym, I loved the people, I just hated that I was treated as a number. The funny thing is I myself am so conditioned to it these days that it really did not phase me.

Great place to work out. Have been going here for about 6 months and always impressed with how clean it is. The place does get pretty busy around peak hours, but having 24/7 access more than makes up for it.
