A year and a half later and our son is still loving being a team member on the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team. He loves training with everyone on the team. Jarrod Nobbe has been the best coach ever for our son. He's grown by leaps and bounds since he's been a part of this gym/team. We drive a half hour to get there and it's so worth the drive. The staff is just the absolute best! If you are looking for a gym then look no further than Athletic Lab.

I’ve been attending CrossFit classes at Athletic Lab for about 3 and a half years. It is such a wonderful community and all the coaches are great. I mostly attend Coach Beatriz and Coach Kyrie’s classes and they’re just so much fun to be around. The best thing about AL is that it’s for everyone! The coaches are knowledgeable and will modify anything for you. It’s also super welcoming with the director, Cate, at the entrance ready to greet you.

I have been to or sampled many gyms; AL is by far the best. Mainly because they practice a philosophy of lifeSpan way beyond exercise. We can age well with AL and the coaches. All the coaches deserve a five star. I would do 6 stars if I could. Still, a special hat's off to Beatric and Kirie who keep a coache's eye on me at Senza. So I simply say; find out for yourself and "Just Do It."

I have been a member of Athletic Lab since May/June 2021. I am a competitive Irish Dancer and I needed to find a private coaching program that would tailor the training to my specific needs. The Athletic Lab delivered!
I have primarily worked with Beatriz Fernandez who took the time to look at my sport, having only Riverdance / Lord of the Dance as prior knowledge. She took the time to listen to me as I explained my weaknesses and my strengths, things I needed to improve, things I wish were better and other strength goals as well.
Not only did she listen to me explain my sport, Beatriz also watched several videos from both class and competition, came to some of my shows, and also traveled to Greensboro for a competition to see it live! She went above and beyond to fully understand the complexities and niché requests that is an artistic sport.
Since that time, Beatriz has tailored, and continues to tailor my cross training to help me succeed in my competitions. I went from never knowing if I would have the right amount of stamina for the day, to having the confidence of knowing that I was going to make it through my dance.
I have improved so much in my stamina, my strength, my jumping ability, my posture, my reaction times, and I’m sure many other areas. This past fall, it all came together and I placed 7th for my age group in the entire Southern Region USA + Mexico.
I’ve truly enjoyed my time with Athletic Lab. I’ve worked with several of the trainers and they are all fantastic. They have fun. And work hard. I not only have a coach I love to work with, but I’ve gained a good friend too! I plan on staying with Athletic Lab far after my competitive career is over. However long that lasts!

Been around the weightlifting team at Athletic Lab for going on 10 years now. By far the best facility, coaches, athletes and environment to improve whatever your discipline may be.. track, soccer, speed, power, endurance, strength, weightlifting, and crossfit, you name it. Cate and Mike have always provided the warmest of welcomes, support and encouragement. For weightlifting, well you just cant find the energy, knowledge, experience, commitment and passion that Coach Jarrod brings to the weightlifting team. As hard as it is to say this.... I guess he is the reason I keep coming back...:)

I joined Athletic Lab Weightlifting team about a year ago to work on my olympic lifts, and I have seen such drastic improvements over that time. Coach Jarrod writes such varied and thoughtful programming which has kept me motivated and addresses improvements across all aspects of the lifts. I joined the Olympic weightlifting team about a month ago. Coach Jarrod took the time to understand where I am currently and what my goals are. He and the team immediately made me feel welcome and I can already see my technique and strength improving in both the snatch, and the clean and jerk. Jarrod gives me cues and coaching points each session that make a big difference in my movement patterns. Technique has always been a challenge for me, but I’m confident it will continue to improve significantly from Jarrods coaching and the very knowledgeable and supportive team. Yes, it’s a super clean, and beautiful space that is full of state of the fit athletic training equipment. But, more importantly, it’s a supportive community of people from diverse geographic backgrounds and athletic experiences who come together to work out with expert and compassionate coaches.

I've been a member at Athletic Lab since 2015. My husband and I had been working out at a conventional gym and wanted to try something different. We looked into trying out the Crossfit classes offered by AL. We were blown away by how friendly and encouraging not only the coaches and staff were to us, but also the other members there working out together. We were instantly hooked! In the past nine years, we've met some incredible people and accomplished health and fitness goals I never imagined I would at this stage in my life. Before starting at AL, I'd never even run a mile or done a pull up. Now I can say that I've completed a half marathon and even participated in Crossfit competitions with lots of pull ups :) The entire coaching staff is so helpful and professional... I actually look forward to the workouts! Coach Kyrie always puts a smile on my face at 6AM class (even when she programs thrusters) and I admire how hard she works to accomplish her own goals. AL has truly been life changing for us and we really appreciate the community they've created!

I’ve had training sessions with Thierry for a while now. I am still as satisfied today as I was the first trainings. Always very patient and efficient in his approach, and he will not ask you to do an exercise he hasn’t mastered himself.

Great Coaches. Great Clean place. Their pricing is so flexible and fair. If you are not sure how long you can commit to, you can just sign up for 1 year and then if for some reason you can’t do the entire year and say you could only do it for 7 months and have to move, you will be only charged for the slightly higher rate of 6 month commitment price as opposed to cancellation fees or penalties etc that other gyms usually do. Very fair and straightforward IMO.

Whether you have been exercising or just started, Athletic Lab is a great place to be. The coaches are very knowledgeable and accommodating. The programs are amazing and offer variety of classes that combine cardio, weight training, and some gymnastic movements. They also offer the classes that help build your endurance, teach you with weightlifting skills, help you with flexibility and mobility and more.

The facility is spacious, clean and equipped with the shower rooms. The community is fun, friendly and supportive.

Most importantly, they have taken Covid precautions very seriously. In order to get inside the building, you first need to book your class online and once you arrive, you need to keep your mask on at all time. You are encouraged to wash your hands before and after the class. There’s also a station for hand sanitizer. There is a limitation of how many people can attend each class and everyone has their own spot with their own equipment to use away from each other. Once they are done with the equipment, they have to clean them with the provided towel and solution. I had a problem with my lungs before but have felt very safe training here during the pandemic because everyone follows the precautions. Therefore, I highly recommend this place.

I had Athletic Lab on my radar for one year before I finally joined and my only regret is not joining sooner. The facility is big, spacious, and clean. The equipment is top-notch. The coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. Athletic Lab has given me the opportunity to finally realize my dreams of pursuing competitive Olympic weightlifting. The training is excellent. I've improved more in the 6 months I've been training at AL than in years of training at other gyms. If you're thinking about joining, don't hesitate! No other facility compares.

I've been going to the Athletic lab since April 2012. I have been working out in Gyms for the past 10 years, and this is by far the best facility I have ever stepped foot into. The staff is extremely knowledgable and required a minimum of a CSCS to work there , while most are pursuing advanced degrees. The facility is always clean and well kept (Thanks John and Cliff), and they have the most contemporary strength training equipment. You won't find any Machines here, It's free Olympic weights, and strongman training equipment. Crossfit classes are extremely well organized, challenging, and I always feel as though I have sufficiently worked myself in the hour time period. Not only do they offer Crossfit but also have Olympic weight lifting classes which I found myself attending a few months after joining the gym. On top of that they offer Health classes, Healthy living challenges, and other events on a regular basis. If you want to come to a real gym and not a 24 hours fitness mill come here you will not be disappointed.
