Unethical business practices.

After completing our 12-month membership, we attempted to cancel once it rolled into the month-to-month plan. We provided written cancellation notice on November 15 for a draft on November 21, which legally satisfies the 7-day requirement.

Despite this, the gym told us we “could not terminate” the membership until we paid a supposed “balance due.” We had not stepped foot in the gym during that time, yet they attempted to hold us hostage by refusing to process the cancellation and even tried to tack on an additional month beyond what the contract allows.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of basic decency or reasonable customer service. Rather than handling the situation like human beings, they hid behind selective contract interpretations and falsely claimed that cancellation was impossible until the balance was paid, which is simply untrue and not supported by the agreement.

For a gym membership, this level of inflexibility, misleading information, and unethical pressure tactics is unacceptable. Consumers deserve honesty and fair dealing, not intimidation and runaround. I would strongly caution anyone considering a membership to be aware of these practices

I joined in addition to going to the Y. Wanted to get more cardio and get my endurance up and let me tell you… these classes kick my ass! The workouts are tough, but not hard to do. You go at your own pace, but the trainers are there to cheer you on and push you to your full potential. The attitude is positive and after a class you’ll feel like you really accomplished something. If you’re a guy and are hesitant to join because you feel like it’s a bit too girly… my advice to you is take a trial class. There’s nothing “girly” about it. Trust me.

I have gone to the YMCA and planet fitness but neither compare to the amazing, supportive and AWESOME Burn Boot Camp! I’ve been coming here for nearly a year and a half and cannot imagine going anywhere else ever again!!

Bought a groupon to try them out. It's a great concept, however it needs improvement in some areas. I "thought" it was personal training in a group setting, but the trainer didn't help me at all - even after I specified that I would need guidance. The other members were awesome, they were all super nice and tried to help me understand what we were doing at each point. The classes are too fast paced for a beginner to keep up with, and I felt like I was in the way of other (advanced) members at times. The evening classes were so crowded that we were bumping into each other at times. I feel like they need more time slots - as there are no classes offered in the middle of the day, only early mornings and evenings.

This is a phenomenal place to get stronger, fitter, and healthier. The trainers are top notch, and the members are welcoming and supportive. Being all ladies, you don't have to worry about how you look, just come in what's comfortable to you and be ready to get your sweat on! The workouts are dynamic, so it never gets boring. Everything can be modified as needed to fit your current fitness level. Guidance on meal planning and nutrition is also offered. They have an awesome floating foam floor that absorbs a lot of the impact and helps prevent injury. They also have multiple class times and childcare is available, making it easy to work in to your schedule. I am thankful to have found Burn Boot Camp!

A great gym that's a lot more than just a gym. This is the first time I have had a gym membership in more than 18 years, and I was hesitant to join. However, it was one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time. The trainers are fabulous and the workouts are beyond challenging. Each day is something different, and all exercises suit a variety of fitness levels. In addition to workouts, we receive unlimited nutrition coaching, access to recipes, access to workouts online and a ton of new friends. A fabulous addition to Winston-Salem!

Love, love, love my BBC family!!! I'm about 10 weeks in and seeing great results!!! I can feel myself getting stronger and see others doing the same! Different and Challenging workouts everyday with modifications for any level of fitness. Trainers are encouraging and inspire us to encourage each other and celebrate other's victories!!! Purchased the 30 for $30 boot camp, and after the first week I got really sick with an awful cough, they were not willing to work with me after that. They wanted me to join for an EXPENSIVE monthly membership fee, instead of giving me the two weeks I had missed for a complimentary fee. Glad I joined LA Fitness who has been more than willing to work with me in every area of my life.
