CMA has given our kids something outside of school that brings them joy, challenges them, and enhances their knowledge, discipline and community. They have created lasting friendships and are advancing in ranks. They are supported by the diligent, caring instructors and given opportunities to shine both within and outside of the dojo. CMA also offers camps, Friday game nights, teacher workday camps, and fun family events. The scheduling allows families to adapt to schedule changes easily and is family-friendly. It is also a very positive, encouraging learning environment. CMA is so much more than a dojo.

My daughter started taking karate classes here roughly two years ago and instantly fell in love with the sport. The instructors are patient, kind, helpful, and encouraging. The forms are challenging but not overwhelming. The self defense moves being taught are extremely valuable. My daughter has learned so much during her time here, and she continues to look forward to each and every class.

CMA is a unique and wonderful place where discipline and kindness seem to be in harmony. My child looks forward to every class and can’t wait to get a new stripe or take a belt test. We are so glad we followed the recommendation of several neighbors and came to CMA for martial arts instruction.

The level of patience, encouragement, and dedication that the staff have at Championship Martial Arts is unparalleled!
Shihan Jenny and her instructors are diligent about meeting each student where they are at, focusing on their strengths, and building up any areas of weakness without tearing down self-esteem, adding stress or anxiety.
In the 6 years that my son has been a student, he has learned self-discipline, respect, and pride in a job well done.
The fact that almost all instructors are former students is a testament to the community at the dojo.
We weren't sure all those years ago that our child was ready to take on a group class like this, but looking back, I can honestly say without exaggeration that participating in Championship Martial Arts has allowed him to grow into a more secure and confident young man!
I highly recommend them to anyone look for a supportive environment in which your child can challenge themselves to grow!

My daughter and I have both started taking lessons this year and are thoroughly enjoying the staff, classes, and challenge! Everyone in the dojo is super supportive, and helps drive us to continually improve. Seeing my daughter's constant desire to go to class and strive to improve has been great! I can't recommend CMA enough for all ages. It has helped me lose 20lbs since I started in Jan. and improved my endurance, flexibility, and dexterity. At 47, finding something I enjoy and can do multiple times a week to keep in shape, and a great community to do it with make this something I will likely do for years and years to come!

Shihan Jenny, Sensei Christopher and the staff at CMA have created a dojo with an atmosphere which nurtures individual strengths and builds a solid and respectful karate community. They offer opportunities to learn new capacities, both physical and mental. As a senior, this past year they have challenged me to learn and grow in ways I did not expect. CMA continues to be a wonderful experience!

I could never say enough about this dojo, this group of people and instructors, and the positive difference it has made in my son's life (discipline, camaraderie, work ethic to name just a few). My son absolutely loves training here and has realized his dream to become an instructor. This is a testament to everyone involved with CMA. We absolutely love Championship Martial Arts and the entire crew!!

My child has recently graduated from white belt to yellow belt, and has been absolutely loving the program so far. It really seems like the staff and instructors are present and ready to help train and instruct in a kind but firm manner. Perfect setting for getting kids to work on focus and taking instruction.

Amazing teachers and curriculum! My son has been championship martial arts for 1.5 yrs. He has been fascinated with the karate and weapon skills. All teachers here are very professional, friendly and passionated, they give students clear instructions and demonstrations. Also, during the student practice, they pointed out where they need to improve and where they did well. I believe my son become more confident and disciplined. I highly recommend CMA to all young kids (>5yrs) and adults. Fantastic experience!

My kids have been at CMA for about 10 months now and love it so much. Sensei Christopher is so welcoming and always available to answer questions. Shihan Jenny is so great with the kids. I’m often worried about my neurodivergent kid and Shihan Jenny always puts my mind at ease and makes accommodations when able. I’ve loved watching my kids so much that I’ve even started adult classes, which are intense but also fun and everyone is so encouraging. I hope my kids want to continue with karate for a long time.

Great karate for kids, teens, and adults! Not only are they great at teaching and patient with kids, they have fun workouts for teens/adults too. 3 of the 4 of us are now taking karate at the dojo. They are really dedicated to their students, and the black belt prep and work has been so good for my teenager. Growth isn't just about the physical here!

We have been so impressed and satisfied with Championship Martial Arts (CMA) for our young child. We had to wait until he turned 5 years old to start at the dojo, and he is one of the youngest in his group, but he's doing great and he really likes all of the instructors. Each instructor is patient, kind, and very skilled - both in karate and in dealing with children! The communication from the dojo is excellent and they are very organized and responsive to questions/concerns from families. They hold several family-friendly events throughout the year and this contributes to the family-like atmosphere at the dojo. We highly recommend CMA!

My daughter has a connective tissue disorder and used to have subluxations and partial dislocations very frequently. After consulting a doctor, we started her at Championship Martial Arts. Three months into her training the subluxations and dislocations stopped! She is stronger and healthier than before and her body awareness has increased hugely, helping with her condition!

My daughter has been a student at Championship Martial Arts for more than a year and we have enjoyed an excellent experience. From day one, the entire teaching staff knew my daughter’s name — an impressive feat given the number of students, all in uniform. Recognizing her shyness, they have worked with her (individually when necessary) to gently encourage her outside her comfort zone. I have seen my daughter grow in a multitude ways: speaking confidently in front of her group, following instructions and maintaining focus, motivated to act as a leader, demonstrating respect for her peers and instructors, and gaining skills and knowledge as she advances through the belt rankings. CMA owner, Shihan Jenny, coaches a consistent and talented staff — all of whom have come up through the CMA program themselves. The business manager, Christopher, is a clear, kind communicator who makes it easy and pleasant to be a CMA client. This is important to me as a full-time working parent who is often dashing between work, school, and activities. This last Summer, we participated in CMA’s weeklong summer camp (my daughter’s favorite among the handful of camps she participated in over break). We also take advantage of karate game nights, which are offered regularly and give my husband and I an opportunity to enjoy two hours to ourselves on a Friday evening. There are so many positive things to say about CMA… we intend to be longtime members of this special community.

Oh what to say about Championship Martial Arts. My son had been interested in starting martial arts for a while. I just didn't think it was something he would actually do and wasn't ready to spend the money He does not play any other sports and loves to sit and play videogames. Then Dec: '21 he is finding YouTube videos and trying to learn at home. Spring break '22 we were in vacation and he brings me his iPad and says "I want to go here, these reviews say it's the BEST karate school in Cary". Turns out that same karate school had been showing up in my Facebook feed. May '22 we signed him and his younger sister up for the two trial lessons. It's been a little over a year, 5 belts (almost 6) later and yes we can say the reviews are correct - Championship Martial Arts is the best in Cary. We love Shehan Jenny and all the instructors there. They all seem to enjoy working with kids and teaching them their passion for karate and are great with the kids. While they are group lessons everyone is paying attention to see if someone needs a little extra help and will pull them aside and work with them. This past May was the in-house tournament my son was a nervous wreck and didn't want to compete,so of course little sister was the same. Shehan Jenny talked with him after class about his nerves on night, but also told him how great he is and that she really wanted to see him out there and encouraged him. He signed up and came home with 3 trophies (sister came home with 2). He was still nervous, but glad he did it. We are definitely enjoying being part of this family and we're hoping to make it to two black belts. Come join us it's lots of fun!

The 2021 summer's CMA camp was yet another great summer camp! My child ranks CMA camp as one of her all time favorite camps and will attend in the future. Thank you for making this summer's in-person camp possible and for making it not only safe, but also fun and engaging!
We are so glad we found Championship Martial Arts (CMA)! We've been coming here for over 5 years and have enjoyed all that it offers. The location is great, the facility is clean, but the real benefit is the programming, the management, and instructors. My child adores Shihan Jenny and the fantastic instructors that are part of the team. Shihan Jenny is an amazing role-model for everyone, but we have noticed what a positive influence she has on young girls especially - she demonstrates confidence, respect, the value of confronting challenges with a can-do attitude, and shows kids how to appropriately stand-up for themselves. In addition to Shihan Jenny, the team of instructors bring out not only physical agility and coordination, but also personal confidence and a sense of community with the students at the dojo. CMA offers trial classes (which is how we got started) and lots of schedule choices for working parents. And if we miss a class, the management is very flexible with make-ups. We've also held our child's birthday party at CMA and it was, hands down, one of the best birthday parties we've had so far - it incorporated instruction for all the kids (no experience necessary), games, pizza, a samurai-sword cake cutting experience, and a board-breaking experience. Every kid got personal attention, exercised, and had a blast! While we haven't yet tried the parent's night out events or the summer camps - we've heard great things from other kids and that they come home fulfilled and happily exhausted. We highly recommend Championship Martial Arts!

For the past 3 1/2 years, we have had the privilege to be part of the CMA family. Watching my teen become a black belt in June is just the start for the acknowledgment she has given herself and the knowledge she has gained in that she is stronger than she believed and tougher than she thought! With the pandemic and their flawless shift to virtual workouts and the cancellation of baseball, my son started taking classes and now continues on excitedly taking on extra classes in specialized weapons.
Words can not adequately express the gratitude our family has to Shihan Jenny Navarro, Sensei Christopher Jordan Greene, Sensei Jessie, and the rest of the amazing instructors my kids have had the privilege to study under.

Championship Martial Arts in Cary has been amazing for our 7 year old son and our family. He began classes virtually during the start of the pandemic and transitioned to outdoor and then finally indoor with masks. This is the first activity he has done that he cannot wait to attend, practices, and absolutely loves. The staff is amazing and works with us through anything we need. He has become more disciplined and is proud of his achievements as he works towards each belt. The instructors are so kind, patient and awesome. I cannot thank them enough.

I'm not sure I can say enough good things about Shihan Jenny and all of the instructors at Championship Martial Arts. We started taking our son here a while back as another experience to try and see if he liked it. He loved it and he has worked his way up to purple belt with a very strong ambition to make black belt. They do a great job with not only instruction on form and moves, but also focus and physical exercise. They work so well with kids, pushing them just enough to help them achieve but never discouraging them. Our son feels comfortable there and eager to come for classes, and we hope to be bringing him here for many years to come!

We just started attending Championship Martial Arts, but the experience has been great so far. My son really enjoys the classes and it is a delight to see him while in class. Shihan, Sempai’s and the other instructors and staff are great. Very quickly became a part of our family. Work very well with people from all ages (kids to adults). My 6 year old started when he was 5 and I have seen a much bigger difference in self control and respect. I too (along with my wife) joined as well and love it. I’m involved in several classes. Learn all types of techniques... from karate basics, self defense, katas to bushudo; and gets more challenging to push yourself in a non pressured way unlike other other dojos I have attended in my past or witnessed... not that CMA go easy on you AT ALL but they understand thresholds and capability and build from there and find what works best for you while still learning the tools you need to get you where you need to be. great in school tourneys, good for mind, body, and soul and a very positive atmosphere. Has helped my body recover from Medicsl issues as well as focusing my mind to get out of the day to day hassle we all deal with. Great release for stress, exercise, self defense and family atmosphere
