Mike and Jess are wonderful with the kids. My son has been taking karate for almost a year now. They are thoughtful and caring and love helping these children and keeping them off the streets and teaching them self defense. My nephew started a few weeks ago and was nervous at first but now he has something to look forward to every week other than school. Mike works hard with these kids. Shows them how things are to be done and tough love but it’s all for the best. I wouldn’t want anyone else teaching my son and nephew self defense.

Wanted to give a review with no bs! My two boys have attend this school for a few months now. From not knowing anything, to now being actively part of learning self defense moves in karate that would apply to real life situations! It's been pretty awesome watching them grow in this sport. Great teacher with lots of experience! We have been very pleased so far!

Love this place and Sensei Mike! He has helped our child so much not just with his own confidence and skills but with his own self-discipline. He helps out so much more at home with basic household chores, for example: helping sweep, mop, taking out trash and he is at the age of 7! Would definitely recommend Sensei Mike and this DoJo to so many other parents!! Definitely worth it!

Our kids have gained so much confidence while in this program. They get along better with each other, and when they do fight, they will often stop the fight to help the other with their form or technique. Mike and Hess are great with the kids. I would highly recommend!

Sensei LaPointe runs an amazing dojo! My grandson is a much better person thanks to the teaching and care he gets here. The diversity of the students makes for a unique family that we're grateful to have.
