The staff were rude from the very beginning. The course is a 4 out of 10. Many other options in the area that are better.

Yo, Crow Creek had me feelin’ like I was about to get a PGA contract… until my boy Tee-Rex sliced his ball so bad we still ain’t found it. Fairways out here so perfect you could eat Sunday dinner off ’em, but some folks in my group still managed to miss ’em by a whole ZIP code. Greens rollin’ smooth like butter on hot cornbread — meanwhile, my cousin puttin’ like he tryin’ to send the ball to another dimension. Sand traps? Let’s just say half my squad got stuck in there like they was filming Cast Away. Big respect to the staff for keepin’ it classy while watchin’ us play the worst “best round” in history. Crow Creek — y’all made legends outta losers today.

Just played today and just wanted to let y'all know that the greens were not up to the typical crow Creek standard... To many weeds, bare spots and pock marks.. I would give them a three out of ten! Truly disappointing!

I want to like this place, conditions are usually very good and I’ve given it so many chances…It’s just always the absolute slowest playing pace on the planet. Tee times are every 10 minutes and they do not have any rangers - don’t even employ one. It could be so good - but just the players management side of the business needs an overhaul.

Played June 19,2025. Greens were in good shape as well as the fairways and the bunkers. They do a good job of keeping the course in shape. I think it is a little boring for the money $129.00. More like a $90.00 course. Overall, pleasant experience.

More like 4.25 stars. Staff could have been a little better. Course is very well maintained. Great greens and plush enough fairways. Some character with mounting and foilage placement in samdy areas. Water features don't come.into play on most holes, just there for looks.
Juat a boring layout is only drawback. Great conditions, just nothing to make you remember the place.

This place is a MUST play when in the area. Condition of the course is excellent, with a really nice layout, Bent Grass is a nice change. My only criticism is that the greens have too dramatic of undulation and are somewhat unfair depending on pin placement.

Played Wednesday, January 29, 2025. The course was in great shape especially considering that the course was covered in snow a week ago and got a full day of rain on Monday.
The practice facility was nice. It’s not a private club, so you need to purchase range balls in the proshop. They have a putting green near the proshop and a chipping green near the driving range which is through a tunnel on the other side of the street. The tee boxes were pretty long (probably due to all the wet weather we got recently). The fairways were overseeded and lush. It was a great change of pace putting on bent grass. You don’t find that a lot out here. Most courses are Bermuda out this way. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. We saw the cart girl twice. Pace of play was normal, just a few minutes over 4 hours.
It’s a really fun routing. I’ll be back soon!

The course is in great shape - tee blocks, fairways and greens. The problem is from check in to first tee. No instructions were given. When we were told “well you don’t have to stay here you can go to first tee”. I stated that is fine but where is it??? After getting to first tee there are literally 16 carts ready to tee off. The starter is sitting in his little shack and no one knows who’s up! We finally walked over to the shack and asked when are we up. Lo and Behold we were next. Not sure how we were supposed to know that. We were sent to first tee. We then spent five hours waiting on every shot. At one point there were four groups on one Par four. So I would say grossly over booked. Course was in great shape and clubhouse is beautiful. Just don’t be looking for a good paced round

The golf course itself was nice. However it is VERY unfair for the blue flag players. You can not get close enough to the greens or to the Tee boxes. The carts shut off. If you need a blue flag, look elsewhere to play.

We are a group of 16 who stay at Crow Creek every year. Today our tee times were from 10:00 am to 10:40. We were the 3rd group so 10:20 teetime. It is now 1:18pm and we're standing on the 10th tee along with our 4th group waiting to tee off. Brutal and frustrating.. They sent a message on the GPS an hour ago apologizing and saying they discovered the problem. As of now they haven't done a thing about it

I played here on New Year’s Day and it is the last time I will play the course. Play was super slow - 4 1/2 hrs - and never saw a marshall. Waited to hit on every tee box and fairway. Also, greens have still not recovered completely from the summer when they got pretty damaged from the heat. Green fee is also one of the highest on the golf trail card at $49.I won’t be back.Only positive is the staff is very friendly.

The greens are still a mess from the summer, they are bent grass and burn out every summer but for some reason this year they have not come back the fairways are in rough shape. The cost is higher than most in the area, $50 in January? The round is too slow, another course where there is only a short distance between green and tee and you can’t play a round in less than 4 1/2 hours. Pace of play is the key to a good golf course and they fail.

Set a record today...officially a 5 hour and 15 minute round for a twosome. No excuses for that to ever happen on a golf course. Too bad, the layout and conditioning was great but come on...won't be back. Not one ranger in sight to speed up play.

The course is looking good and the greens are coming back. A few weeks ago they were in rough shape. The staff is friendly and the service is good. Why the one star then? Pace of play. Three times this year our group had early tee times, all 3 rounds were 4:45 or more. We like to play early, and we move along like you're suppose to but on all 3 occasions we started on the back and when we swung around to the front we waited for almost an hour to start our back nine. If they are going to double tee, and they start you on the back than the front tee should be open 2 hours after you start. If they are going to double tee they need to manage it better. Fast play should be rewarded not punished.

We were very disappointed in our experience yesterday. After hearing how great this course was, we found the greens to be in horrible shape with dead grass and crabgrass growing.
The fairways were not much better with whole areas of crabgrass growing in spots.
The "Crow" pole in which your cart is not allowed past was sometimes almost 100 yards from the greens which means you had to walk back from the greens to shoot which slowed the pace of play.
There was a starter on each of the sides, but there were no roving rangers to help control the pace of play. We were standing with "hands on hips" on almost every hole because they crammed too many tee times too close together and had twosomes playing behind numerous foursomes.
We had two "club members" pushing us from behind while hitting into us even though we were being held up by players in front of us.
There is no reason they should be charging as much as they do. Meadow Lands, Diamondback and Eastport are in much better shape and a better deal for the money.

The course is very nice…the workers, not so much. We attempted to play here last year and the weather didn’t cooperate so we got 9 hole rain checks. We called ahead of time and scheduled a tee time for 9 holes in the evening and the clubhouse attendant had no issue with setting it up. We get to the course and they state they don’t usually allow people to play 9 holes (they relented). And then the clubhouse attendant/bag drop workers tell us that we are going to have to wait for a half hour after our tee time to get started (they were going to send us off 10). We wait the half hour only to send us off the 1st hole behind 2 groups that arrived after us. 2:45 9 hole round.

Will NEVER play this course again. The greens are the worst I have ever played on. Bare spots, multiple ball marks and sandy spots. The club house staff today were rude and down right condescending. Love this track! The overall condition of the course was great but it was very wet from the previous nights rain. The greens were receptive and roiled true. Cart girl came around multiple times and was super friendly. Some of the staff members here are RUDE and almost hostile. Once my friend and I dropped our bags we ask were the driving range was located. The cart guy told us to just hold on a minute and he would get us going in shortly. It wasn’t what he said it was how he said it.Very hateful!!!
This is the 2nd time I have played here and we had this type of issue from the staff both times…. With so many choices in MB it’s not likely our group will play here again because of the RUDE staff! It’s a shame because we really liked the course…..

Really like this course but today was a bit of a disappointment. Started off bad when I made the reservation yesterday (as Golf Trail member) - asked for 1pm-ish tee time - guy said how about 12:52 and I said ok. However, they charged us (3 people) the morning rate as the rates change at 1pm (guy taking the reservation should have mentioned this - I would have gladly waited 8 minutes to save $15 ($39 vs $44). On top of that, the greens have recently been sanded (nobody mentioned this when booking the reservation) and you can still see evidence of them being punched on several greens. Course is in decent shape (riding fairway today) other than the greens. They rolled reasonably fast but with the sand they don't break nearly as much. Plus, lots of ball marks (not repaired) and the marks were pretty significant (we made a lot but at least we fixed ours!). Fringe around the greens were pretty wet so anything short stayed short and sometimes plugged (I plugged one on 4th hole green after sprinklers magically came on when we were hitting our 3rd shots on). Bunkers were varied - some of the fairway bunkers were hard packed - but we were lucky today and didn't hit in many. Decent roll on most fairways so course didn't play as long as after a rain. Pace of play was decent - front nine in about 1:45 and back about 2:15. Surprisingly started backing up around 13th hole (rumor was there was league play this Tuesday afternoon). Anyway, pretty decent round but the 1pm vs 12:52 and the sanded greens stuck in my craw and makes me not want to come back anytime soon (which is a shame as it's one of the nicer courses in the area).

It was like pulling teeth trying to book 8 players here, as we were staying at the Crow Creek condos. Even though we are locals, we were charged double because it’s a “busy” time of year... the other three courses we played over the weekend didn’t seem to have the same policy and charged a reasonable rate for locals. The bent greens were in pretty bad condition. With so many other courses in the area with much more reasonable rates, I’d recommend staying away from Crow Creek. The value for your money would be ranked in the bottom tier of all of the other options on the grand strand.

The staff of this course was very rude. They took complete advantage of a group of respectable young men (17 -21 yrs old), who are use to playing on Private courses with no issues! They made them rent clubs once they got there for an additional $30 per rental. This was not discussed when the tee times were made. The ranger kept telling them to keep moving when the group in front was within distance of their shots. Very unprofessional . Course was nice but would not recommend because of staff.

Played it for the first time ever this morning. I’m a 25 year veteran of Myrtle Beach golf and always wanted to play this course. Loved the layout, was in great shape, the course designer was Nicklaus inspired so the need to hit a power fade is paramount. Water comes into play on 15 out of 18 holes. Challenging and fun for all levels of play. The par 3’s were even a true test. Greens rolled true and I really loved this track. Will be back next year to play again. Great chili dogs too !!

Nice course. Staff was good. Fairways were not as plush as some of the other courses we played. Greens were sanded but still rolled pretty good. Make sure you get on the correct level on the greens.

Course was in very good shape with all the rain that they had. Problems started at the beginning with the starter who was obnoxious and very rude. Doesn’t understand how to treat people with respect. We played 3 courses and were treated like kings at the other 2 courses. I worked in the golf industry for 45 years before retiring and know how a customer is to be treated. At the end of our round we were waiting on our other foursome that was right behind us and ranger came over and asked us to turn in our carts which was ok but the tone he used was very unnecessary. I am 68 years old and have never had two people be so rude at any golf course. It might not mean anything to the owners but it will be the last time our group will come to your course. Our group has been coming to the area for ten years to play. It is a shame because the course experience was very good.
PS. the guys at bag drop were great!!

Played here on March 11th with a group of 24. What a great course. The area had about 3 inches of rain a few days earlier, but you would never know it on the course. Immaculate in the fairways,in the rough areas and greens. Carts were on the fairways for entire round (except 1 fairway and of course the par 3s). Very good layout and one can see that the time and $$ have been put into the course maintenance. Wide fairways, fairly large greens, sensible pin placements, and good common sense make for an enjoyable round of golf. The course personnel were excellent from our arrival to our departure. I recommend this course to any golfer-regardless of your handicap. Our group states "we will play this one again next year". That is the ultimate compliment for a golf course and its staff.

What a fun beach course and conditions were best anywhere at the beach.
Course offer generouse fairway and greens. Making it a fun track to play for all levels. The course fairways were lush and bent grass greens very true and fast. Staff was freiendly and pace of play was perfect! Saw a few monster gator too! We will be back again

Liked the design challenging and fair. If you missed fairway you are in some good rough. Greens were awful. Black mold, thinning grass on the greens. Not worth the $69 price.

Played this course for the first time this past weekend. We started on the back 9, and if I would have written this review after the first 3 holes, I would have ranked this course a 2 or 1. The rough was extremely thick. If you missed the fairway by a few inches you were going to have a hard time finding your ball. I couldn't tell if the course was unkept, or if the rough was purposely grown out for a tournament. When we arrived on our fourth hole we had to wait a second for a tractor to finish mowing. They started on the 18th and worked their way backwards- meaning the rest of the round for us was smooth sailing and you could see the beauty of the course. The par 3 8th is one of the most beautiful holes in the tri-county area that surrounds Wilmington. Everyone needs to play it at least once. Overall the course reminded me of the old echo farms in Wilmington. The holes are challenging and tight, and the greens have a lot of hills and valleys. For me this would be a course I will play once a year. Drive time from Wilmington makes it hard to play it more than that.

Was part of a group with over 120 players Sunday, May 19, 2018. Course was fine. Personnel were the rudest people Ive ever encountered while preparing to pls a round of golf. The cart staff and starters treated me like a criminal. I understood their policy of no personal alcohol in coolers not allowed. My son went back to the car to bring our drinks that were needed on course. (There was no alcohol). I explained that the cart cooler only contained water and gator aid. One employee yelled at us, called my son down by name and proceeded to shame and embarrass him in front of all ghose golfers. When he searched the cart and saw that we had no alcohol, all he said was: I’m required to search and make sure. I told him I was diabetic and he had no right to prohibit me from taking water and Gatorade on the course. Starter told us there was water only on two holes out there. My recommendation to our tournament directors that we never go there again. We average 120 - 150 golfers in our event and go twice a year. Put that in your calculator Crow.

The golf course is always in fantastic shape. our group of 24 worked with rebecca to create a dinner menu after our round. we did our awards dinner on the patio. the food and the service was impeccable and we felt so welcomed. Rebecca, Gina, and Tory treated us like they wanted us to be there. we will make this an annual event. EXCELLENT!

Played this course last week, it was in great shape from tee to green. The greens were in great shape but were hard, I imagine that is from them putting in new greens last year. Definitely recommend this course to anyone.

Pros: course was in great shape* with wide open fairways. Undulating greens added a bit of challenge without being unfair.
Rangers came by often to make sure pace of play kept up.
Cons: *a few of the greens had bare spots but considering the rotten weather we've had this year, I overlooked it.
We started on 10. At the turn we couldn't find any signs saying where hole 1 was. After taking 3 different paths we finally found a small sign, at ground level , pointing the way. Better signage is a cheap fix the course should invest in.
All in all it's a nice course that I will play again.

This course was in great condition especially the greens. We came down months after the horrible winter storms that caused havoc on other local courses and we were worried golf would be a wash this vacation... Not the case! The course was slightly brown in some fairways and tees (not bad at all) but every single green (bent grass) rolled true, was fast, and perfectly groomed! I would highly recommend this course over others we played in the area.

Crow Creek Golf Club, rated 3-1/2 stars: This very well maintained 18-hole layout, located a couple of miles from the North-South Carolina border, is a firm favourite, especially with golfers wanting something a bit more forgiving than some of the tougher, more wooded and undulating Grand Strand layouts.
Some contrasting elements on the back-nine include a few condominiums and houses flanking one or two fairways, while on the closing stretch the holes enter a slightly more wooded environment.

Played today (4/13/17) might be the worst kept course in the Myrtle Area. Funny how they keep the grass nice by the entrance and clubhouse though. It's like false advertisement. I would have asked for a refund after the round if i cared about money. I recommend any other course but here.

Played in mid November. I did not see the problems other reviewers reported about the greens. They had been aerated recently but were still smooth and rolled fine. Bunkers were in excellent shape. Fairways were in good shape. It's a nice layout. Pro shop is modern and nice. Lots of wildlife to see on the course as well. I would rate a 7 out of 10.

If you have a tee time here in the near future, you might want to stay away. The greens are sparse. Word has it that they are going to replace them next season, but for now virtually unplayable. Rest of the course was great.
One of our favorite courses that we try to include every trip. Wish someone would have warned us this time.

This course is in D+ shape and 1/4 of the fairways they have lost due to disease or drought. The guy in the pro shop whose name is Lee is very friendly and very nice however the Ranger today 8/1/16 is very much less than friendly. Condescending and pompous comes to mind. Gestapo Is the best way to describe his demeanor. My wife accidentally drove up
the fairway on a par 3 and he was there lurking and then he calls her and I out on it. We were having a good time and she didn't know any better. So, he lit us both up. What a tune up! She was so embarrassed that she quit. I am never coming back and apparently he thinks this place is Augusta when it really is just a simple cheap course in NC that needs allot of work. I wish I knew who
owned this place.

I played this last year so take my review as an overall one and not one based on current course conditions.
When we played the conditions were I'd say one notch below the more expensive courses in the area. However, this course was is nice shape.
Non course related things. The restaurant was nice and the lunch was good. The staff was all friendly and the driving range was quite nice.
The course itself is in the more wide open category. On the majority of holes it was a take out the driver and rip one out there. Layout wise it's definitely not the most interesting around.
It made a nice warm up course to our two week stay in the Myrtle Beach area, and was very elderly/woman friendly (no huge water caries, nice cart oaths and so forth).
If the price is right when I return, I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a warm up course once again.

Booked on Golf Now on the recommendation of a friend. Little did I know the course had lost their fairways this past winter. Totally disastrous day. A number of fairways had little to no living grass. Wouldn't give me a discount. To top it off, attendants were overworked (they cut staff due to their fairway issue and resulting loss of business) and unfriendly even going so far as coming out to the parking lot to inform me I'd parked in employee parking. Save your money and go to one of the many other fine courses in the MB area.

Really enjoyed this course. Great condition. Fairways were very nice and were green. Rough was short but pretty green. Greens were bent grass and I didn't think they putted true. They were in good shape, I just noticed some putts making some odd rolls as the ball slowed down. Nice cart paths and course is well maintained. Clubhouse was beautiful. Great staff. Cannot go wrong playing here.

Solid layout with few frills, but enough undulations and topography to make play interesting. Moreover, the course conditions were top-notch. Played during a drought causing most area courses (even good ones) to look like brown patch. Fairways at Crow Creek were still green and lush, although occasionally boggy in isolated areas due to necessary over-watering. Bent grass greens rolled true. Clubhouse and staff were terrific. Deserves it's good reputation - would definitely recommend and play again.
