I've been training with Dale Townsend at Destined to Make It Fitness for almost a decade — even before COVID, and let me tell you, he is truly one of a kind. Dale isn’t just a trainer; he’s dedicated, knowledgeable, empathetic, and results-driven with a rare ability to meet you where you are — physically and mentally.
He understands that everyone's journey is different, and he combines that understanding with the kind of discipline and structure that actually gets results. No shortcuts, no fluff — just real progress and accountability.
Over the years, Dale has become a true friend, but that never gives me a pass to slack off. He pushes me because he believes in me — and if you train with him, you’ll feel that same energy. He genuinely wants to see you win, and you feel that from day one.

Learned a good amount training with Dale. Having only been exposed to powerlifting style training, trying his higher intensity high volume workouts was a good change of pace. He also incorporates a bunch of exercises i’ve never tried before which was nice to learn.

I started work out with Dale on 10/31. It was time for a change. As a single mom of 2, i decided It was time to start taking better care of myself. Working out is my least favorite thing to do but Dale has helped change my perspective! After a month and a half, Ive noticed some physical changes to my body but more importantly the mental changes. Im sleeping through the night, less stressed at work and overall have energy that doesnt stem from caffeine! Dale is educated in not only PT but he will help you with your diet and supplements too! To top It off the man is fun to be around! Our time together flies by and the great conversation keeps me going when the going gets tough. If youre looking for the best of the best, Dale is your guy!

If you’re looking for a personal trainer who pushes you, makes working out fun but holds you accountable…look no further. Dale is the BEST! For the longest time, I had put off on getting a personal trainer because I thought I was doing good by myself. I started working out with Dale in May and was amazed at my results by the first month. I started receiving compliments from people and by month four I was really amazed with how far i had come. I was starting to put on muscle within a few short months. I didn’t know much about the gym except going here and there doing a few free weight exercises and cardio machines. Dale has been very patient with me on my fitness journey. There were times where I have wanted to quit but he pushed me to keep going. I like that he is personal and makes a person feel like they’ve known him forever. It’s nice to go to a gym and they’re excited for your results as much as you are.

I have been working out with dale for about two months now and have had the best personal training experience I’ve ever had. I grew up a three sport athlete so I’ve always been an active person but grad school really set me back on my fitness and health journey. When I decided to put myself first and get back in shape I found Dale and his business and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I always saw myself lifting weights but didn’t know where to start or even how. I knew that I needed expertise, accountability, and encouragement and Dale has provided all of that and more. He not only personalizes a training program for me but offers a DELICIOUS, healthy, and balanced meal prep plan that is making changes in my body that only good nutrition can do. You can count on Dale to be professional, energetic, encouraging, and intuitive to your needs for the day. One of the things I have appreciated the most is how he built my training from the bottom up without overwhelming me and showing me that I can reach the goals I have without wanting to give up. Now let’s talk about results - in just two months my strength and endurance has drastically improved and my body is leaning out and developing muscles I didn’t even know I had. I could talk positively about my experience all day but if you want a personal trainer to provide you expertise, accountability and encouragement all in a gym that is comfortable, inviting, and energetic then Dale is your guy!!

Dale is an amazing trainer. His attention to detail is unmatched. He makes sure you’re doing every set, every rep correctly so you get the absolute maximum benefit form your workouts. His nutritional meal preps are awesome as well. All clean organic foods that taste great as well. It’s made my life so much easier not having to think about what I’m going to eat. Also it’s given me a lot of time back in my days for other things being that I don’t have to go grocery shopping and prep and cook meals myself. The meal preps he provides are a game changer! One of my favorite things about Dale is that he is real and understands that everyone’s lives are set up different. Dale has been extremely flexible with my hectic work schedule and always finds a way to get my workouts in throughout the week even if I throw him a curveball and have to shift things around because of work. I would recommend anyone to Dale you want the best food, fitness, and flexibility! I look forward to continuing my journey with Dale and continuing to see more and more results!

If you are looking for personal training in Charlotte, LOOK NO FURTHER! I started training with Dale at the beginning of May 2022 and I can say I am in the best shape of my life. I love having Dale as my personal trainer and meal prep provider. Always on time. After having ankle reconstruction surgery and going to physical therapy working with Dale has helped my ankle heal faster and stronger. You can do an exercise but when you have someone there to motivate and correct form makes a difference. And the meal preps are the best. Always great healthy food that I actually like eating. Whole body transformation but like Dale says “you got to put the work in”

Dale is the BEST! I started juicing 10 months after having my baby and decided to get a personal trainer. I started working out with Dale in Nov and by March had lost 27 pounds. I work with Dale since February 2018 and it has been a great experience. When I came to Dale, I had lost 80 lbs. My goal really was to tone up these curves and get stronger. I am accomplishing those things I mention above. My curves are looking good at least that is what people are noticing😄 I have Multiple Sclerosis and training with Dale has helped my limbs so so much. What I love about Dale is he is a professional but at the same time he cheers you on and cares about you! He is not about taking your money and not teaching you anything!!! Dale is very supportive!!!! I have tried his meal prep, lost weight because I had gained weight because of the MS medication. The food was great! He is a blessing to me!!!!

I don’t really like exercising but Dale makes it a fun challenge. What I like about his training is that Dale does not train me like everyone else. He does what is best for me and my body type. It’s hard and I count the minutes until it’s time to stop but I love working and making myself better. Dale challenges and encourages my rebirth to be better!

Dale reached out to me before but to be honest I was kind of skeptical! The first two weeks of training with him I saw results! In one month with Dale, I have lost 13 pounds, while eating very healthy meals through the meal prep he offers to his clients! I was so out of shape and one who was definitely lacking confidence considering I did not exercise or eat right on a consistent basis.
