My 78 yo husband and I (74) joined in May 2025. Eddy Howe set us up on a fitness routine and changes it up about every 6 weeks (we go 3 days a week). I have never been an "exercise" person and workouts were not something I liked. I tend to be a sedentary person. However, having Eddy as a personal trainer has put us on a program that we enjoy and look forward to our time at the gym. The atmosphere feels safe, there's always someone to ask questions if we forget the proper way to do something, and if Eddy, John or one of the other staff see us doing something incorrect, they will encourage us and remind us of the proper form. They are all very encouraging, but not invasive in our workouts. I encourage everyone, especially seniors, if your aren't doing something to keep your body strong, do come join us at Enterprise Fitness. You will be glad you did!

I love my gym and the gentleman who run it. They helped instill confidence and accountability in my gym routine. I’ve never been really successful losing weight and building muscle, but have been here. I had the most incredible experience training with Shane at enterprise. He went above and beyond every single session, he cared about not only my results but how I was feeling throughout our training together. I spent 6 weeks training with Shane prior to moving overseas for work, we had a very specific goal and we not only reached it, but I feel like I learnt so much that I’ll carry with me. Great gym and better atmosphere!! I’m a 49 year old and had gotten up to 240 lbs. I signed up for Enterprise’s biggest loser program and am so glad that I did. My only regret is that I didn’t do it 15 years earlier. Working with John has been great! He gives you a personalized program that is tailored for you and very easy to follow! After 5+ years of my weight yo-yoing between 215 and 240 lbs, John showed me a much better way. I wish I had known 25 years ago what the folks at Enterprise have taught me. After 12 weeks in the program, I’m down 38 lbs and still going! More importantly, it is easy to follow and sustain. I definitely recommend giving this gym a chance, it could be the best thing you do for yourself.

I have been a member of Enterprise fitness for 10 years. During that time I have totally transformed my body, developed a workout routine that is sustainable and realistic, & have made some friends in the process. The staff at Enterprise fitness are experts in fitness , & wonderful people who will customize a workout just for you. I have done personal training with Linda & have achieved optimal results. My doctor actually recommended this place and it is AWESOME! If you’re looking for a good solid gym that is really there to help you with your workouts, and not a glam shop, this is the place.
I have tried other gyms that had all the bells and whistles but never had a place that truly cared and helped me with my goals.
I love the fact that not only is the staff friendly but there are many regulars there all the time. It’s nice having the extra encouragement around and I never feel judged or intimidated.
My husband has even started going and feels the same way.
Plus, at the end of our workout, we can get a protein shake which is always a nice treat to look forward to.

I have had a amazing experience at Enterprise. With the help of the owner, John Howie, I have lost 50 pounds. John follows me weekly on my nutrition and Eddie develops individualized work out plans. I am a 41 year old mother of two who has made more New Year's resolutions that resulted in too many (and short-lived) gym memberships all across the east coast with none comparing to Enterprise Fitness. This is the friendliest, most down-to-earth, family-owned establishment. This is the first time in my life I ACTUALLY LOOK FORWARD TO GOING TO THE GYM! Not only are the owners and members good wholesome people who truly have your health and best interest in mind, there is always someone near who will happily and humbly help show you how to use any of the equipment. Typically I wouldn't dare enter the free weight area in a gym out of fear of embarrassment or intimidation but I am 100% comfortable at Enterprise. The owners John and Eddie Howie are brothers who couldn't be better people. It is very apparent helping people become happier and healthier is their passion in life. I've thought many times, kudos to their parents for raising such good humans! In a nutshell, Enterprise Fitness is an amazing gym that has more equipment and workout options than I've ever seen in one place, but my personal favorite is the positive atmosphere of genuine people, true acceptance of all walks of life, and helping hands to support you without making you feel like you're the dope that doesn't know what your doing. Joining Enterprise Fitness is the best thing I've done for myself and I thank my boyfriend all the time for making us join. Thank you guys, I truly appreciate your one-of-a-kind service to people! The person I spoke with came across as rude and said he could answer all my questions then could not. He only seemed interested in how much money I make and only showed me respect when I told him that I have an incurable disease. My tour guide was nice but untrained. She admitted that she did not know anything because she was "new" only a few months. The equipment was so tight together the only reason I did not trip is because no one was using the machines. The bathrooms were disgusting. This gym specifically advertises personal trainers but I was told none were there and are not available the one day I can go to the gym. I was disappointed and they convinced me not to go there

My husband and I explored this gym because several people in our neighborhood belong and had not only become more fit but had lost weight. We felt at ease the first time we visited. That experience showed us young athletes lifting heavy weights, elderly people working the machines and people in wheelchairs working out, all in the same building. There were several trainers working with people, and all were very friendly. We met John, to discuss our dietary and fitness goals. He worked with us to develop a plan that we could accomplish. As life goes, we had a few unexpected interruptions, but were treated with respect and constant encouragement. Now, 10 months later, we are stronger, lighter, and continue to work on our self-improvement. Let me start by saying enterprise fitness is the most friendly gym I ever worked / excercised at.... I have only been working here two weeks now and the staff and members are all welcoming. I've just talk to a lady member that was over 300 hundreds pounds that was intimidated at first but the staff was so helpful and friendly to her she loves it now. The experience at the gym is lovely, probably my favorite, but if you try to turn off the membership (4 months after your 1 year contract is complete, like I did) then things get sticky. The front desk will give you a phone number to call, and when you call, no matter what time of day you call, you will be on hold for 45 minutes or more. You call multiple times because you have a life and can't wait on hold for an hour all the time. When you finally have time to wait on the phone for an hour before a person answers you, then the service on the phone will tell you the membership is cancelled. Then the charge shows up on your credit card again, so you stop in and talk to Eddie. He says no problem, all taken care of. Then two months later you check your credit card statement and you're still being charged. So I guess I stop in again? Call the gym again? Call the service again? I have disputed the transaction through my bank, hopefully that and this review will get their attention. Shoddy work, Enterprise. Do better.

I like the gym less crowded then the aquatic center but it kills me that aside from the two year contract they have, they also have a membership fee! For "supposedly gym improvements". Well let me tell you I've been there for over a year and have yet to see any "improvements" at all! The equipment is OLD! and the have a stair master which I bet is one is the first ones in the market! They also don't have any fans in the ceilings!! Forget about working there during the summer!eww

This gym is the only gym that i could find in Monroe/Indian Trail that was open 24 hours. its a peaceful and friendly place for everyone, it even has a place to watch your kids while you work out. the members there are very helpful with lifting tips and extremely friendly. the staff is very knowledgeable when is comes to losing weight and tips on weight lifting. this place is very flexable with hours and money payments(all you have to is ask) i give this place a 10/10

My buddy and I spent four hours trying to find a gym within the Monroe/Indian trail district and we couldn't find one other than the enterprise that was open 24 hours. Great staff, always helpful and motivating. They are extremely knowledgeable on lifting weights and how to help you better yourself. The other members are not only friendly but also helpful in sharing their knowledge about weightlifting. I've never had an issue with anyone here. If you know what you're looking for in a gym you'll ask all the right questions because they have the answers. 10/10 best gym there is in NC. 🏋🏼

The Enterprise has been a staple in Monroe, NC for over 30 Years. John, Eddy, Jon and Linda are amazing. You won't meet more down to earth yet knowledgable fitness buffs than them. I really appreciate the motivation they offered me to reach my goal. Not to mention, the Enterprise is open 24 hours a day. Great rates as well. I would recommend highly as I already have to my friends and family.
