I joined this gym with my son and we have really enjoyed our time here. It is clean and the atmosphere is low key. There are so many machines, free weights and treadmills. There are people of all ages working out which is so nice to see. The guests are friendly and it’s the first gym that I’ve ever joined that I really enjoy working out at! Chad the owner is a great business owner. He is helpful, nice and hardworking.

This gym is pretty good. It’s got a nice variety of machines and weights, and a friendly atmosphere. The owner is there frequently and is approachable, friendly and welcoming. The equipment is in good shape. It could stand some carpet, paint, maybe new ceiling fans and newer towels… but those are small details and overall I really like going. It is clean, fun, and usually not crowded.

I used to belong to another local gym with a very similar name. That is where the similarities end! Where “the other place” is crowded, dirty, and filled with unhelpful sales staff, this gym is always clean, very well maintained, and staffed with helpful personal! I LOVE this gym and highly recommend!

Came right at 5:30am and the gym was already open. You can tell the staff are her well before the stated operation hours to make sure no one is waiting at the door. I made the mistake of coming to the wrong gym and the attendant at the desk was excellent. Explained the location differences and allowed me to drop in with no issue. Outside of the service the gym is exceptionally clean. The weights all racked and the plates put on correctly. Great location to consider training at.

Fit for Life is a hidden gem. I absolutely LOVE this place! Chad, the owner, is so friendly and goes out his way to help. He always has a smile for each one who enters the door. He makes you feel valued. It is like one big happy family! I have met so many wonderful people at this gym who have encouraged me and made me laugh! I look foward to the Cardio and Line Dancing classes. The instructors are so much fun and full of energy! Karen and Linda are the BEST!!! I am so grateful for Fit for Life!!!!!!😊

I was a Gold’s member for years and loved the place. The staff were friendly and helpful . The gym switched to fit for life and asked for additional fees . They continue to charge membership fees even though they will NOT allow access to the facility. Today I went in to cancel my membership and they told me had to cancel my membership online, I went online and couldn’t find a cancel option. Be very careful and do your due diligence before joining this club.

Update : 8/2019 my opinion of this place hasn’t changed in 6 years. People are friendly, owner is friendly, gym is clean. This is the only gym I recommend in the area. I've been working out here off and on because of my job. I prefer to work out here rather than any of the other gyms I've been at in Clayton. It has all the weights and machines you need. This gym is CLEAN!!!!! I can't stress how different that is compared to other gyms. The owner is a nice guy, staff is friendly and the people who work out there are nice. If you need a spot, there is always someone there. If you would like to strike up a conversation between sets, you can talk to anyone from the owner to other people working out beside you.

You can tell that the owner takes pride in his work because this facility is SPOTLESS. All the equipment works great and is very well-maintained. I travel quite a bit for work and have been to gyms all over the country (both high-end gyms and, well, not high-end) and this place is in better shape than many $100+/month facilities! The owner and his son appear to have pretty loyal patrons that are treated like family. If you're looking for a traditional gym, go here. You won't be disappointed.
