I have been going to this gym since July 25. I have met so many happy caring people there. They are all focused on health and making their customers happy. From the manager to the trainers everyone is goal oriented to helping their clients or customers get the experience they signed up for. They have all the equipment you could ask for. Love the variety in machines & my personal trainer Jay has really helped me get into a steady routine and I am already seeing huge progress compared to doing it on my own in the past. He is awesome! I’ve been going to fit4life for almost 2 years now and started coming to this location earlier this year and it’s absolutely wonderful! The environment this gym provides is positive, safe and clean. The personal trainers are so very kind and professional, all willing to help people with everyone having their own personal training style, it’s a great experience and there’s a trainer for every type of goal and person! Personally I absolutely adore Miss Nina, she’s the first trainer I spoke to and got me started on the right track over a year ago and had I not been guided by her I’m sure I would still be lost. I cannot recommend her enough for those new to personal training! Another fantastic trainer is Josh, he is a joy to talk to and is great for someone looking to challenge their body! Jay is super chill and always willing to help his client figure out the best way to perform. These are only a few of the personal trainers they offer here but there are many others and they are just as wonderful! Regardless of if you’re doing personal training or not, this gym has everything you could possibly need and it’s got the healthiest and most pleasant gym environment I have ever been in!! I’ve been a member of Fit4Life on Owen Drive for several years, and after 25 years of belonging to gyms across the country, I can honestly say this is one of the most disappointing facilities I’ve encountered. It feels like a corporate cash grab with no engaged leadership, and it’s in desperate need of a general manager who actually cares about the members, the staff, and the gym itself. Safety and sanitation should be non‑negotiable in a fitness environment, yet this place is dirty around the clock, with cleaning left to members despite the bare minimum of supplies. Air ducts and fans are caked with dust, the turf has soft or broken spots that could easily cause injuries, and equipment is falling apart — from frayed cables without carabiners to kettlebells with no weight markings. The gym is constantly left in disarray because no one enforces basic standards like re‑racking weights, so you never know where anything is. The bathrooms are regularly out of toilet paper on weekends, and in the free weight area it’s nearly impossible to find 5, 10, or 2.5 lb plates for the barbells — yet with their so‑called “upgrades,” they bought a pallet of 45 lb plates they already had more than enough of. The employees are always friendly, but management doesn’t hold them accountable to actually working; they spend much of their time at the front desk on their phones. Small details speak volumes: the wall clock hasn’t been changed for daylight savings in years, the water fountains barely work, and the $70 annual “upgrade” fee is spent on redundant equipment no one asked for instead of fixing glaring issues. If this is how sanitary they keep the gym overall, I would be terrified to see how clean they keep the kids’ zone. Beware of the glowing 5‑star reviews — they often come from members offered free perks in exchange for posting them, rather than from genuine satisfaction or constructive feedback that could actually improve the business and the customer experience. Members even joke with each other about the state of the facility, but out of convenience, the price, and the lack of many other options in town, we stay. This gym has potential, but it’s missing the mark. I’ve tried to provide constructive feedback through their website for years, but nothing has changed — so hopefully this review helps other members understand the reality of this location and influences some change. The sales manager at AA location is very rude and unprofessional I arrived to the gym with my guest I waited at the front desk and he didnt even acknowledge us then when I approached the side of the counter he was at to get his attention he replied to me with a nasty attitude saying that he was counting money when all he had to say was please give me one second if this is how management are treating gym goers I would hate to see how a new member is being treated Just based on my experience today I would not recommend this gym to anyone not this location anyway he is terrible and a bad look for this company

DO NOT sign a contract for a trainer, they have so many problems i experienced with the trainers quitting, trainers cancel appointments last minute. or go in when they told me and the trainer stated no one told me you coming in and i don’t have time. i was promised and quarantee i would be at my ideal weight and fitness or money back quarantee. long story short i never had not one minute or one second of training this is 180.00 a month . i made countless calls to the gym complaining about this i was told you would need talk with your trainer was promised i could get out of the contract and then thinking was all taken care of get a call saying owe money and i’m set up on auto payment. made calls about this and told then i could get out of the contact thinking this was taken care of then they said i don’t know who told you this but that’s not true, so i made another call was told i could do a buy out so i did this then i get another call saying i didn’t approve the buy out you can’t do the buy out . this gym only worry about the money and i’m saying this not because i don’t want to pay the money but since four months ago the money has come out on auto payment and to this very day i still had not had not one second of training . i call ask for my trainer name they said that they can’t give that out . i wish they could worry about my training as much as the flirting that’s going on with the employees don’t need watch any soaps here i see it all over the place there lol . all i’m saying don’t don’t don’t sign any contracts with fit 4 life and i’m talking about the training not the gym membership because i pay in full when i joined the gym. please be aware all the fast talking they do until you sign the contract then they don’t know anything.

Hello!!! First and foremost, I love the gym. It gets a little crowded sometimes but overall it is amazing. What doesn’t get crowded is the Kids Center. Every time I bring my children there, I And greeted with a smile, especially since I am familiar with Melanie from the Bragg Center. My daughters love her and she’s really great at her job, but as I’ve been coming to this gym, I’ve been getting to know all of the young women in there and they all are amazing!!! This is the best part about coming to this gym. Mothers are able to have an effective workout with the insurance that their children are being cared for.

I rarely write reviews; however, at this point, I am fed up. When I first joined the gym back in the summer of 2024, the tour guide that took me to tour the facilities was bragging on the fact that Fit4Life “takes cleaning seriously”. That’s the furthest thing from the truth.

I typically go late night (10 p.m. or later) because that’s what works for my schedule. I completely understand that the gym isn’t staffed 24/7. Perfectly fine. However, what’s not fine is that they often don’t leave enough spray bottles, towels, and/or paper towels to make it throughout the night.

There have been SEVERAL occasions where I’d come in, and the table of towels and spray bottles are EMPTY. And, of course, I see people dripping in sweat leaving the machine covered in sweat and obviously they are unable to clean up after themselves. This is absolutely beyond acceptable. There have been a few occasions where I turned around and went back home because I was so grossed out. I’ve also went home to grab my own spray bottle to clean up after myself. As of lately, I’ve kept a towel in my car because this has been happening so frequently. I also have had to buy a pack of wet wipes. This is unacceptable and F4L should be ashamed of themselves.

The gym is unclean just in general. For example, I saw some trash on the floor in the locker room one night. The trash was STILL on the floor in the same spot the following night. The floors in the locker room seem like they haven’t been swept and mopped in months despite the fact that they “shut down the gym for deep cleaning” every so often…

Also, let’s talk maintenance. I’ve seen several machines with an “out of order” sign and the signs would remain on machines for weeks/months. It’s like the gym completely doesn’t care about their equipment.

I’ve contacted F4L about this a few times however the issue has yet to be rectified. The ONLY reasons I am still a member is because 1) my insurance pays for my membership, 2) the gym is literally 0.5 miles from my house, and it’s 24/7. I’ve been a member at Planet Fitness for years, and PF is FAR superior. Their gym is always clean and their equipment always works or is fixed in a reasonable time. If PF was a tad closer, I’d go back.

Please get it together F4L. Although I don’t pay for my membership, I know it’s far too expensive for people to be paying for you guys to neglect such basic needs.

Absolutely loved this gym while we were stationed in Fayetteville. After canceling our memberships because my husband came down on orders to move duty stations they charged us an additional 6 months of membership and gym fees with my husband’s orders on file. I contacted them monthly along with their billing company and got told “tough luck you still have to pay” which is ILLEGAL under SCRA. I am shocked with Fayetteville being a military town and a primarily military gym they would do this to military members when we don’t have a choice of when or where we move. If we are ever back in the Fayetteville area we will not be going back. Extremely disappointed with no resolution.

If you’re considering joining this gym, here’s what you need to know:

Pros:
• The gym is clean and well-maintained.
• The workout equipment is solid, and it’s a convenient place to train.

Cons:
• They like to lock you into a contract, then charge you $70+ annually for so-called “upgrades” that never seem to happen.
• Billing is handled through Peak Payment, which is a complete nightmare. When you’re overcharged or billed incorrectly, the gym and Peak Payment just point fingers at each other, offering no real help.
• Gym management at the front desk gives you the runaround, offering false promises without following through. They also don’t take the time to log notes properly, so no one on staff knows what’s going on.
• The staff plays favorites with members—if you know them personally, it’s like you have free rein over the gym.
• The contract terms are a trap. Read every word! Otherwise, you’ll end up paying far more than you expected.
• If you’re military, save yourself the headache. Even after you submit PCS orders, they’ll keep charging you for two more months, plus the annual “upgrade” fee if it falls within 30 days of your report date.

Buyer beware of their personal training program. I had three trainers in seven months because they cannot keep them on staff. I also had to take a two-month break for an unforeseen surgery. The guy who sold me on the program told me my missed sessions would be banked and I could make up for them later. However, he also left the business and his replacement told me, no dice. You lose. Do not go if you want to be overcharged. This gym has really made a terrible impression after learning there’s a 60 day notice to cancelling my membership which I’ve been a full year with. So I’ve had to pay 2 months after I tried to cancel, which can only be done thru the app you use to check into the gym. I was never told of this when I first signed up. Sure the gym is nice but not worth this stupidity. They will keep bugging you nearly everyday just to pay. That’s literally why I’m cancelling the damn membership. I called and expressed interest in a membership, when I showed up for a tour of the facilities the woman working the front desk (didn’t get her name) told me I had to wait 30 minutes to get a tour, as if I have thirty minutes to wait around while she sits at the front desk. I said I don’t have thirty minutes to wait on top of a thirty minute tour and can I just look around quick and see the equipment available, she said “no.” There was a couple next to me who was getting a tour of the facility which is why I had to wait thirty minutes, when I asked if I could simply join on their tour since we would be looking at the same things, once again the receptionist said “no.” I obviously laughed and said “this is ridiculous”, and left. If you want customers to have a spare HOUR to look around your gym, maybe you shouldn’t be in business. Rude and unpleasant staff before even signing a membership is crazy. Not to mention the 40 minute round trip I took to get there.

This gym facility is a scam, I signed up with them in 2023 I did a 2 years contract but I was told I could get out of the contract if I move to another state with proof . In July 2024 I moved to MD I contacted them before moving and they said they would send me an email with instructions somehow I did not get the email until late July so after I sent proof that I have a new address they still didn’t let me get out of the contract I contacted peak payment I was told that I had to give them 60 DAYS NOTICE, I was never told that when I signed up with them .Now they just charged me $248.00 because of this 60 days notice , they are still charging me until the end of this month. And here in MD there is no fit4life gym facilities. I feel that I really get scammed by this gym. I am a single mother and I was trying to make payments and they said I had to make one time payment or they would send me to collections . They will not work with better options for you be aware

This gym is the best gym. The environment and atmosphere itself makes me feel comfortable in all aspects of working out. Equipment use is rarely hard to manage with a crowd because there is a plethora of things to do and a variety of machines to choose from. The gym is super clean and smells good and the AC is always blasting for the most part, making my experience very enjoyable and comfortable. Also love the hip hop cycling classes every Thursday ! Highly recommend.

I would highly not recommend this gym. They want $89 for a week pass. They blame it on that it’s because of the 24 hour access. ACTIVE MILITARY BEWARE- like me, you probably had an employee at the counter explain the contract and terms of service to you and you probably took them at their word and signed the contract on the signature pad. You probably believed them when they told you that based on the SCRA you are entitled to cancel your membership with orders within 30 days. This is not true (just search “contract” in the other reviews here). When I called Fit4Life with a question about an annual fee that was charged to my account a mere 24 hours before my membership was finally canceled, I was given the bureaucratic runaround about how they were not allowed to send me my contract and I needed to take the issue up with Peak Payment. I did take the issue up with Peak Payment while I was attempting to get a copy of my contract. Since I was no longer a member, I was not able to log in to my app. When I was able to receive a copy of my contract today I verified that not only does the contract not contain any mention of the SCRA or 30 day military cancellation policy, it also does not specify cancellation timelines in regards to billing cycles, etc. Today I made my last payment to Fit4Life despite having canceled my membership on 24 June.

They have a contract, extra fees and oh an app maintainer fee which makes no sense. They treat the kids horrible. My kid was bitten and had bruises and staff didn’t tell me about it. The kids zone staff are unprofessional they don’t soothe your kid if they are crying. They don’t tell you about accidents. The staff are always on their phone while watching the kids. They even have a little corner where “parents” can’t see them using their phone. They get in trouble for telling parents if their kid got hurt by management. They truly suck!

You need to provide “proof of move” aka utility bill from the new residence, lease, drivers license etc. It’s worse than getting a new drivers license and completely unreasonable. ATTENTION MILITARY FAMILIES:
My husband and I cancelled our memberships in the winter of last year because he was being discharged and we were moving across the country. Fit for Life made this membership impossible to cancel. You cannot cancel in person at the gym, it must be done through the app. Then you have to follow through on the Peak Payment website. Following that, we had to speak to customer support and send in documents including a marriage license and discharge orders to get out of our contract. We went through all of this and I continued to receive emails, calls, and texts EVERY DAY, MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY stating that "Your Peak Payment account needs to be updated." Naturally, I spoke to customer service and stated that my membership with the gym has been cancelled. They requested the documents be sent AGAIN. I complied. Over 5 months later and they are taking me to collections and stating that I need to "address this issue with the third party collections company." This is unbelievable. Read the other 1 star reviews before thinking about joining.

Good luck ever getting out of a contract with these people. My husband was thrown into the auto renew which I spoke to peak payment about over a month ago. They told me who and what to email to get out of it. I did this and come to find out he was never removed. I tried to call back peak payment several times but it would always go to “user busy”. I called the gym and explained the situation and they told me to come in to show them the email. I drove me and my kid 35 minutes to the gym to show this woman the email to which she replies “this says nothing”. It is literally an email with my husbands name saying he is to be removed. She then. suggests I take my card off and let it go to collections. Excuse me? I drove all that way for nothing. She then tells me how to jump through all the hoops to get my husband’s deployment orders. All of this due to error of peak payment, who I did finally get in touch with. They looked at the email and were immediately able to cancel the account. Long story short, if you sign a contract be prepared to jump through hoops with a bunch of incredibly incompetent people.

If you’re a military family and plan to move and need to cancel your membership at some point, it is a freaking nightmare to go through. I was a member through Active & Fit and enjoyed the array of locations they had available. However, they decided to cancel all active and fit memberships effective 1/19.

Fine, your company your business. But the sheer unprofessionalism and thoughtlessness to only let members know less than 24hrs ahead of time is ridiculous. Not allowing people to find other options or memberships ahead of time lacks courtesy towards those members that chose to come to your facilities.

Being in Fayetteville, I’m sure the gym will have no issue getting new, full-price paying members but you should want to do better.

So before giving a thorough breakdown of every reason why you should pay more attention to the one-star reviews prior to the one being made now, be fully advised none of the one star ratings are disgruntled or irritated individuals for simplistic mistakes by any means.

The gym itself is in appropriate standards. However they purposely set things up in a fashion that suggests and insinuates total disregard for anyone that run into problems or happenstances if it means a chance to capitalize on that and keep phishing for more money from said individual with no type of coverage/reimbursement intended.

upon your initial entry they will gauge every reason why they want you to have a personal training session and how you can use all these other seminars and pretty much simply gloss over the contract and fine details regarding any of these things, just so they have more ways of charging an individual and preventing proper use of services.

If you get a gym membership, that in itself is a charge separate from if you get personal training which means you're basically making two payments that will appear as one but is treated as two.

The contract States for when getting a gym membership that if you wish to cancel it early you will still have to make two more payments due to the time lapse of a 60-day requirement before they'll officially remove it(cancel your membership 2 months in advance)

Do not let them finesse you into getting a personal training session on top of this because it too works the same way where there is a 60-day wait period before you no longer are required to make a payment.(suppose you're nearing the end of your contract and you wish to buy out the remainder, they will calculate the remaining time as the payment to buy out said contract meaning the remaining time still available you will still pay for(2 months=60 days))

Speaking of personal training anything that pretty much forces your personal trainer to not be able to conduct said training is treated as an "oh well situation" and will be inevitably disregarded as such.

They do not reimburse for missed time at all regardless of the situation or where fault lie.

The gym is as states "24 hours open" however there is not someone Manning that kiosk 24 hours throughout the day meaning if you have an issue where you have to address an actual person and ask questions or inquire by any means there is a specific time frame where you're only able to do that.
With this in mind no one man's the kiosk at night or the middle of the night. One should plan if still willing to go through with getting a membership here at the very least, on scheduling a Time where you will be able to show up and speak with someone.

Trying to handle any type of situation regarding the membership or anything on level of, they will only refer you to the online website where one must submit a request that requires a set amount of business days to be responded to. Typically five to seven business days. Talking to anyone face to face will result in them telling you to call peak payment who will then only refer you to the online website so it is legitimately a complete loop to one end so do not deal with the other two IE calling and or showing up in person to talk about or speak on anything.

Using the app, if you use the app to look for your contract and details of such you will see under I believe if I'm not mistaken privacy it'll ask or suggest a link indicating more inquiry about personal information account information or contract information, just know those links may not work.

Lastly all military should be completely aware that this establishment is only about saving face and not about service members or civilians or anyone in between. If you need proof not only is it here in the one star reviews as far as how they respond to one star reviews but how they respond also to this review and it's length and detail with little nothing more to a referral of a number that will refer to a website while bypassing any route or avenue of responsibility, accountability or, initiative.

Great gym. They have most all the equipment you could need. Very clean facility, new machines, and good turf space. Like most gyms people don't clean up after themselves=put your weights up! Only thing I wish they had that I haven't seen is some strongman sandbags and loadable farmers carry bars. Great place to workout though!

I'm a newbie to the gym and everyone has been great. From the staff to the members.

I signed up after my second visit but I was decided on the first one. They have child care, showers, lockers, etc. All the gym equipment I've tried works well.

The place is always clean and the staff seems very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. There is plenty of space and multiple machines of the same ones.

Update: After going here for a year and a half all the same problems below exist and I'm starting to believe they don't believe in AC because 24/7 365 it feels like it's 80 degrees and I'm someone who never sets my home ac less than 74. I sweat less and have less of a heat issue on my 10 miles runs than my 50 min casual workouts at this facility and my heart rate doesn't even break 100. Even deployed to Iraq in 130degree weather they at least had fans to take the edge off. Might start touring other gyms in the area to see if they have any improvements. Also they were giving out free smoothies for 5 star reviews so keep that in mind.

One of the nicer gyms in the area. Love that it's 24/7. They have locker rooms as well as separate bathrooms. They also have a protein shake bar and a little shop. But I do think there's some room for improvements. As part of the early morning crowd they are frequently out of towels/paper towels to clean equipment. They are lacking in smaller weights 2.5 and 5lbs for the squat racks and when they do some group classes all the lighter free weights are also unavailable. The lack of re racking weights is also annoying but that's not their fault. It's just frustrating when you go during a busier time and no one uses a squat rack for 30+ mins because everyone assumes someone is using it because they didn't re rack.
