I’d like to speak to the corporate office because the customer service here is unacceptable, they are rude and this gym is beyond filthy. What’s the point of a maintenance fee if the gym equipment doesn’t work and the same dust that has been there all year has yet to be cleaned. So unhygienic and there are no standards.

Great gym! I have a membership through my company’s Active&Fit program (which, if your company offers such a program, definitely take advantage!) and have been coming since the spring. Tons of machines and free weight options. Even at the busiest of times, there is always access to something you need, even if you have to re-arrange your routine a bit.

For someone like me, working on general fitness and strength training, the personal trainer option works just fine! DJ has been an awesome trainer, always positive and keeping you honest. The work out routine is never stagnant, which I appreciate. If you aren’t seeing progress like you’d hope, he changes things up to keep pushing you. They also have monthly specials that pop up, to keep your training affordable and encourage you to be consistent.

Everyone is nice, and the gym goers seem serious and committed, which I personally enjoy being in that kind of environment.

The facility is somewhat clean I have been there a few times and every time I go one of the machines has sweat on it and I have to search for a paper towel to wipe it down because the paper towels are out. I had a personal training session with DJ he seemed nice for the most part but he kept putting me down saying "we have a lot of work to do" I did a maneuver and I told him I hurt myself I almost fell to the floor because of the pain and he kept saying "come on we have a lot of work to do you are really out of shape" and kept pushing me to do the same exercise I have had personal trainers before and they never put me down or told me to do something if I was hurting that bad. Well I have been in pain a few days now and went to the doctor come to find out I tore my muscle and now I'm pissed. I have a job where I workout everyday and now I can't work because if I do I can make it worse. I came in to see about toning up a few areas but I left in worse shape than when I went in. Also their BMI reader is inaccurate I did a BOD POD and I am not that much over weight just by 2 LBS. What their BMI reader doesn't account for is the gas/food or fluid in your system. In summary the facility needs a little cleaning and their staff needs more training.

I’m not one to leave reviews but had to for this gym. Can we talk about the smoothies absolutely amazing Juan and Joe I believe his name is makes the best smoothies!! This is an Amazing gym would highly recommend any gym enthusiast to check this place out back where I’m from we call this a hidden gem, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable of all the machines. I was greeted right as I walked in and was asked if I needed any help just an absolute pleasure to be greeted with 10 out of 10 customer service!!! The facility and kid's zone is pretty awesome but I can't give more than 2 stars for 2 reasons. 1) the owner of fit4life not long ago chose to not honor Active&Fit, forcing countless people to get a membership through the gym, making it more difficult to cancel or pause a membership. 2) they will also lose records of "shake credits".

I love working out here. The gym has a good variety of equipment, the facility is kept clean, and the staff is wonderful. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the personal training program. First, they used extremely pushy sales tactics to get me to sign up for personal training, and the guy wouldn't take no for an answer. Then, for some reason, they have a high rate of turnover for trainers. I signed the contract 10 months ago, I have just been assigned to my FIFTH different trainer, and they already told me the one I was just assigned to will be temporary. The lack of consistency has been frustrating and has made it difficult to track my progress, especially when differing methods of body measurements are being performed.
The gym is great, but I would not recommend wasting money on personal training.

This place makes it very difficult to quit, even once your contract term has been reached. The business location cannot handle your cancellation, as this process is outsourced to a third party. They will instruct you to submit an inquiry about quitting via the mobile app and wait 4-5 business days for a reply. They then require 60-days advance notice. Frustrating because now we have to pay two additional months and the annual Facility Improvement Fee.

Since I cannot seem to reply to the gym’s reply…this was my son’s membership, who happens to be military. He cancelled because his duty station was changed. At no point during our phone call to request cancellation (I participated in this call because his prior requests at the gym weren’t addressed) was anything expressed to us about shorter notice periods for military. In fact, we were asked if he wanted to sign up for a free trial of some sort.

Avoid this gym at all costs especially their personal training. I had signed up for a 6 month personal training regiment that was one session a month, each month the trainer would contact me to set up a time to meet. After 6 months the trainer quit setting up appointments, I later found that I was still being charged $45 a month for personal training, that was not being set up by the trainer. After seeing this I tried to cancel my membership all together, but they are still making me pay for 2 more moths of gym access even though my year contract is over as well as making me pay for a month of personal training that no trainer has reached out to set up an appointment and I have paid for 6 extra months of training that I didn’t receive. Not to mention the only reason I had signed up for the personal training is because the gym manager insulted my intelligence making me believe I couldn’t reach my fitness goals without giving him more money for what I came to discover was subpar training. I will never do business with this company again!

Avoid any fit for life gyms. The term for life means how they intend to charge you for life. After being assured by several employees that when my two year contract expired, I would be good to go. However, there is a small clause that you have to have a written note sent to an email explaining that you would like your contract to end. Apparently the contract automatically renews. They’ve continue to charge me months afterwards. When I finally figured out how to officially end the contract I was in informed that I would be continued to charge two months afterwards. You get charged to use their app that shows you your a schedule and lets you sign in. It’s $70 per charge. Not to mention the “once a year” charge that you get for maintaining the equipment. This type of gym preys on people and their hard earned money. If you have to break your contract for any reason, even if you’re military, they make it a fight as well. You have to prove you are moving somewhere that doesn’t have a fit for life gym near it. Avoid fit for life at all costs, or it will cost you a lot of money!

I would love to give a 5-Star review however, the door access has been a persistent problem. 24/7 access is not available due to this door. The issue has been brought up to staff more than once by the majority of this gym. If this is the first time that this location has mentioned this, then there is blatant negligence. Even fit4life personal trainers do not have access with this door issue-no key either.
Please fix this door issue and contact the local management. Corporate management needs to be aware of this.

Husband cancelled membership due to deployment, he took his orders into the gym and employee told him it was taken care of. We hear nothing from Fit 4 Life and our bank account shows no activity with them, so we think it has been cancelled correctly. Over a year later we get a call from collections saying we owe 340.00 from Fit 4 Life in Raeford. Husband drove there to speak with manager. Manager told him there was nothing he could do and the person who took the orders and cancelled membership no longer works there. Husband paid Fit 4 Life 130.00 to have "debt" removed from collections. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ALL YOUR PAPERWORK REGARDING CANCELLATIONS!!!! Unfortunately, my husband did not save any of this in his email and we have no proof so we did pay to avoid debt collections calling us and ruining our credit over this. They got us, don't let them get you!!!! I wish I had of checked with the BBB first.

Since I can not respond to your response to call you, I will edit my review. We have called you and went in person to have this resolved. My husband spoke to the manager in person, no help. We still had to pay 130.00 for your error to have this debt removed from collections. I have also emailed your cooperate office with NO RESPONSE!

I am modifying my review based on my experience. I had a Peak representative call me as soon as they saw the previous review. This individual was very courteous and professional. She took care of my concern and placed herself in my position to fully understand the situation in order to take care of my problem. My problem was simple. I look forward to 8:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, when I get to join senior friends for group exercise. Our Silver Sneakers instructor, Robin Barnes is the best.
She not only guides us through training, helping us with form, learning the moves and what they accomplish, but also encourages us to push beyond where we think we can go- and guess what? We realize we are stronger than we think we are and can do more than we think we can💪🏾🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♀️🏃🏾🏃🏾‍♀️. We can't help getting older, but we don't have to get old. And so we keep showing up, ready for the challenge and the camaraderie.

As a retired USA military veteran and long time resident of Raeford, NC, I joined Fit4Life Gym back in November of 2023 along with my son, attracted by a special offer the gym was running. The deal seemed promising, and I opted for a full-year membership, paying upfront. Additionally, I signed up for a six-month trainer program, with payments scheduled monthly.

Initially, my experience with Fit4Life was positive. However, things took a turn when my assigned trainer, Miss Scarlet, stopped training in December 2023. Despite this setback, I continued going to the gym regularly, not wanting to penalize Fit4Life for the absence of a trainer.

Disappointingly, Fit4Life's management of trainers proved to be incompetent, leading me to halt payments for the trainer service. This decision was met with a call from Fit4Life's finance department, informing me of a contractual obligation to continue payments or face collection action. I clarified that my concern was solely with the trainer service, not the gym membership itself, yet the response remained inflexible.

Subsequently, I received an email reiterating the demand for payment. Upon visiting Fit4Life in Raeford, I was informed of a delinquent payment and a hold on my membership until the bill was resolved.

The crux of my dissatisfaction lies in the distinction between the two contracts: one for gym membership and the other for personal training. Despite paying for the membership in full upfront, Fit4Life's insistence on withholding membership privileges due to a dispute over the trainer service reflects poor customer service and disregard for contractual nuances.

Moreover, as a neighbor and disabled veteran, I expected better treatment and understanding from Fit4Life's staff. The discretionary use of holding membership status outlined in the contract should be exercised with consideration and fairness, particularly in cases like mine where payment for one service does not implicate non-payment for another.

In conclusion, my experience with Fit4Life Gym in Raeford, NC, has been marred by issues of mismanagement, inflexible policies, and a lack of empathy towards a disabled veteran. It's disheartening to see a local establishment overlook the needs and circumstances of its members, and I hope for improvements in both policy enforcement and customer relations in the future.

Fit 4 Life has a hard time keeping physically trainers. The trainers are nice people but over booked. When I signed my contracts I was not told one thing by their employee and now they are saying another. It is bad business to sell this service to people under false pretenses and to be caught off guard with fees a year later. I will no longer be using their services. They were not helpful with this matter and I was basically told there is nothing they can do about it because that employee no longer works there. I do not recommend and they need to train their employees to tell the truth about the services rendered and what happened at the end of the contract.

Raeford Fit4life is amazing. It's clean, open layout and much bigger than some of the others around here. The staff is always friendly and welcomes you like a friend. The child care is amazing! I’m making this review in efforts of getting more cleanliness at the gym & I’m trying to understand perspicuously why there’s never a manager on the floor & why the staff is being constantly over worked. There shouldn’t be a reason for the filth I wish I never saw. When I tell you when I went to the rest room and I had to urinate and saw the horrid filth shown in the photos below it turned me off completely to use the rest room and I had to notify the staff of the situation. If it wasn’t for the amazing staff I would honestly rate this no stars because it’s ridiculous that every time I go to the gym there’s a mess in the rest rooms. I just paid a maintenance fee & I’m try to understand where the maintenance is because the staff can only do so much & the managers don’t seem to care & are almost always non existent when I frequent the gym four times a week with my friend. I hope I get some form of resolution being that I’m not the only one that has been complaining on how things are run there. Facilities are decent, the free classes and variety while having multiple faciltiies around is great if youre really into group fitness. Peak hours are not ideal, but you do have the option of 24/7 access. Most machines/free weights are well maintained. The bulk of their money goes into the machines, which they charge an annual "service and maintainence fee" of 60$ for. Kettlebells variety is scarce.

Just understand this "club" is very sales/contract driven. They charge club fees without offering club ammentities(pools, courts, all the other additional club services, guest visits). Its just a gym with free weights, machines, and group fitness studios. There is child care, though im not sure if that was complimentary or at a cost. Either way its subsidized in all of these ridiculous fees whether you use daycare or not.

Theres a "key fee" ($70?) even though your key is digital/on an app. They dont print or buy any materials to give you a keyfob or keychain tag. But you pay 70$ for an app that should cost 3$.

Theres a enrollment($99 think?)

Then a annual maintainence fee($60).

It was about $200 dollars to get started, with monthly dues increasing if you dont want to on a 12 month contract. And they message you a lot to sell personal training.

Unless youre in the military(and they wont be quick to tell you that USAAs 35$ fitness program buys into their gym access), these gyms are generally in less affluent areas. Having to pay $200 just to start up economically freezes so many people out.

Id rate it 2.5 stars, or somewhere right in the middle. The facilities are decent, but its basically just freeweight, machines, and group fitness classes, without all of the extra fitness club ammentities, and all of the extra startup/annual fees.

Cancelling looks like a pain in the butt. Its 2023 and they want written notifications, time gates, etc. Wont be nenewing, now that i found out about the USAA program(they're in a military town.. why wouldnt they advertise this). It might be because theyre hyennas and would rather charge an uplift of 200$ to start up.

Actually get zero stars…Fit 4 Life health clubs are a joke when it comes to customer service. I have asked them to cancel my and my wife’s membership over a year ago and they still haven’t done it. I’m still being charged for a service I don’t receive. I have gone through all the proper channels to cancel her membership as well as mine but I’m still being charged for a service I don’t receive. The added insult to injury is that the person I was talking to on the phone laughed and thought it was funny that I was upset. I asked his name and he wouldn’t give it to me. Everybody here is very professional and helpful starting with front desk to all the trainers and coaches. My personal trainer Megan N. is the best match I could ever imagine for myself. Her holistic approach is absolutely amazing. She takes time to listen and she treats me as a whole: body, mind and soul. She advises me not only how to work out, but she also helped me to set achievable goals including motivation and rewards and she keeps me accountable for them. She gives me advice about my health, nutrition, supplements, bodymind. I am super happy and motivated. Can’t wait to get in shape and to start group classes. This place already became my second home and the team my family. I used to go to different facilities before and trust me: this is the one you want to join. Thank you so much! Nice gym/ equipment, however it’s constantly busy and it is most likely that you will have to wait for each piece of equipment before you’re able to use, definitely stay away from peak hours, almost impossible to workout.

Ricky Bell Jr. is my trainer and is awesome! I recommend him absolutely! He has an understanding of body composition and proper form to assist in the individuals needs.

Being someone who has had previous injuries, I have been unable to afford physical therapy and be able to continue to maintenance my body generally. But now I can do both! Very grateful for the staff!

This gym is pretty decent. It has a lot of different equipment to workout with. Been a member with my wife since it first came to Raeford. The trainer I have is good and adjusted when I got injured. All in all I am keeping my membership.

My family has been members of the club for several years now. This year I signed up for a trainer (Susanne) and I am glad I did! I improved in total body health overall. The number and variety of training equipment lets me workout even during high activity hours. Being able to go to any of the clubs in our area is convenient. Now, I will say that having more sanitizers and cleaning rags available on weekends needs attention. Overall I am very pleased 😀 with my membership.

This facility is clean, they have group classes, like Zumba you can sign up for, personal trainers who are great, and also a smoothie bar with great employees who occasionally give out free samples. Highly recommend this gym.

Great club. Very nice selection of machines, including a plate loaded hip thrust, GHD, and back extension. You usually don't find all three of those in one gym. Dumbbells go from 5-150. Plenty of barbells with a few Texas DL bars and trap bars. About 7 squat racks, 5 or so bench presses, 6 free dumbbell adjustable benches, and 1 deadlift platform. All the squat racks are equipped with bumper plates. I think it also has personal training, a nutrition shop, group classes, and a daycare. Locker rooms are pretty nice as well. Also pretty nice lighting and stone work throughout the gym, definitely adds to the atmosphere. The staff, Nikki, Devin, and Mike were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Refill the toilet paper dispenser…this is the 4th time I’ve had the preworky Hershey squirts and y’all didn’t have toilet paper and I had to hobble to another stall.
