I have been going to Fit4life for a few years at multiple locations. Frank the manager at this location is absolutely amazing. Its always clean and he always has a smiling face when ive had a bad day. I moved recently and was so sad that there was not a location where i was moving. I highly recommend to anyone!! I had such an amazing experience at Fit4Life today! James and Frank were absolutely incredible — so friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel comfortable and excited to join. They took the time to walk me through everything, answered all my questions, and made signing up super easy. You can really tell they care about the people who come through those doors. Their energy and kindness set the tone for the whole gym — it’s such a great environment. Love the gym, it’s clean and it has Daycare!
Cherese today was bringing energy, energy, energy in the kids room, with dancing and stretching.
Depending on the day and time you can find this gym really packed but it’s nice in the morning, there’s an extra room with smaller weight where you can do body weight/small weights workouts (so you don’t have to feel intimidated by the big men with the big muscles 😂).
Definitely a catch if you’re a mom trying to get healthier and lose that baby weight.
They also have personalized PT and a smoothie bar.

I come to the spring lake gym all the time, and it’s great. But I came to Silvia’s Yoga class and it was amazing. Her instruction is crystal clear and easy for beginners but also offers guidance for more experienced yogis. I highly recommend looking into it.

I’ve gone in three separate times to cancel my personal training. I’ve talked to multiple people and was told they would handle it. I’ve been charged yet another month and I do not even live in the state anymore. I haven’t even been contacted to set up a training in over a month. I was told they probably wouldn’t reimburse me because no one I’ve spoken to previously works there anymore and there’s nothing on their record. Very unprofessional. Also I can’t even get in contact with a general manager.

The contract is open to way too much interpretation and is meant to screw over the consumer. When you sign a contract here, the gym will not acknowledge their end of the contract. If you sign up for 24 months, you have to physically notify the billing company of the gym that you wish to terminate your contract prior to the expiration of your contract by atleast 60 days out.

My contract expires at the end of this month, and I notified the company that I wish to let my contract expire. They’re forcing me into another 60 days of payments despite my contract still being valid and open.

Do not come here. I will never recommend this gym to anyone simply based on their scummy and intentionally misleading contracts with legal verbiage that is intentionally misleading and meant to screw over customers.

Fit4life has been by far my worst experience with a gym. When signing up I was told there was only a 30 day requirement to cancel my membership along with no cancellation fee. I also signed up with their trainer who told me I had three days to call back after signing up to cancel and receive my money back and he recommended I sign up that day for the Black Friday deal.

I called back the next day to cancel my trainer but was told I could only receive half back but I would receive 3 training sessions.

I set up my first training session. When showing up the trainer was not present and said she didn’t have me scheduled ( I have the text with her and the secured appt ) I set up the second session and she texted right before, all of my sessions had expired and could no longer be used.

After I attended the gym to work out I quickly noticed they remain pretty packed. I decided the gym wasn’t for me. I requested to cancel my membership and was told there was a 60 day requirement and I would have to pay $150 buy out fee.

I decided I would stay until my contract ended and benefit from their free classes that are included in the membership.

I attended the HITT & Yoga classes

They were super great at first but the instructor started to cancel last minute or the class was shown as available and upon showing up I was told it was cancelled and they forgot to remove it from the schedule. Today after showing up for the first class in weeks as the instructor had been out they reported she quit and once again forgot to remove the classes from the schedule.

This gym has no respect for their clients/clients time and only care about collecting the check and moving on to the next person.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this fitness center. Not only did they fail to deliver on their promises, but they also engaged in fraudulent activities that left me feeling deceived and cheated. They are not military friendly and they will post charges to your credit card months after you have PCSed. I submitted the 60 days cancellation notice for me and my 12 years old son and they said that my son has to call to cancel his membership 😑

Furthermore, the billing practices of this fitness center are highly questionable. I was charged hidden fees and additional charges without any prior notification or explanation. When I attempted to address these billing discrepancies with the management, I was met with hostility and uncooperative behavior from their processing center (Peak Payment)
It is evident to me that this fitness center prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction and integrity. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining this establishment to proceed with caution and be wary of their deceitful practices. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration by seeking a reputable and honest fitness center elsewhere. I wish Google had zero star rating.

We have really been looking forward to getting a gym membership here, especially since we had one a few years ago. When we were about to walk in, a friend happened to be walking out (this friend was also planning to get a membership) & we stopped for a moment and chatted with him about membership fees and other stuff.
Even after talking with our friend, we were still planning to get a gym membership until a worker came out and started talking with our friend about giving him a discounted rate. This worker then processed to point at us and rudely say “not for you guys though.” We found this to be extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. If you plan on giving a discounted rate to only certain customers, it’s probably best to discuss this with them privately instead of in front of people who are also trying to buy a gym membership. Hopefully we can find a gym that will be a little more welcoming to new customers.

I would give zero stars if possible. I joined this gym but before I could attend even the the orientation. I got sick. I was told to get a form filled out by my doctor which I did. My doctor advised me not to work out at all due to Heart Failure!!!! and AFib! She specified months or years on the form but the gym would not accept. They said they need a number. Cannot recommend this gym enough! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hunter is a phenomenal personal trainer and has really helped me along on my fitness journey. I have always been very self conscious going to the gym, but the environment here is very welcoming to everyone regardless of your fitness level. Bonus for parents: during staff hours they have a room for the kids to play in while you work out. It is a 24/7 gym where members can use the app to get in to the building outside of staff hours. They also have fitness classes if that is your style and you can go to any of the classes at the different locations. Highly recommend trying this gym out!!!!

10/10 would not recommend this gym. Looking back I wish I’d gone through USAA for gym memeberships. PLEASE READ YOUR CONTRACT, it stats in fine print that you’re signing for a 2 year contract. even though I was told I’d be able to cancel my contract at any point, to no surprise I’d have to pay $250. As far as the staff, most of them are nice ppl with exceptions to One rude individual. For some odd reason she’s always giving my wife a nasty attitude over the simplest questions, & things, which isn’t professional at all. I’d also like to add the fact that as a member I was informed there was a $70“gym maintenance” fee. My question is where is this money going considering the classes DONT EVEN HAVE AC!! The process when signing up is overwhelming and when your contract is up, terminating your membership is very painful. Giving notice 60 days prior at a gym is laughable. The process feels like I'm renting a house or apartment. Also, as others have stated, some fees are not mentioned when signing up. Bring your reading glasses.

The facility is clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly; however, the manager is not helpful nor does she seem like she cares. She is just unable to address any concerns brought to her attention. Hopefully the owner can fix some of this. I also want to echo a previous comment. Offering something in return for a review should not be based on the amount of stars.

The gym itself is decent. It is small and not enough multiple items of commonly used equipment which can hinder your workout on chest and leg days. Only one cable system which gets extremely crowded. Childcare is hit our miss, most of the staff is great but there is one that stays on her phone in the corner the majority of the time. Also, the hours for childcare are extremely inconvenient. However, it’s the most reasonably priced gym with childcare in the area so that’s that.

The cancellation process is HORRIBLE! The gym staff told me I only needed to submit my husband’s orders to cancel. I did that over two months in advanced, PeakPayment did not read everything I sent them, asked for stuff I already sent, took forever, and blamed me. The gym said only Peak Payment can do refunds and Peak Payment said only the gym can. So, now I’m out hundreds of dollars for someone else’s mistake to help fund a mediocre gym.

I'm updating me review based on recent developments. Further down is my initial review. The gym did get a new tricep rope - thanks for this. However, enforcing proper weight plate racking is still lacking.

The concerning issue at hand has to do with the gym policy for youth's. Parents can (now) only drop their kids off during certain hours when staff is present. This was not the case at the previous location; parents could still take their kids but were required to be vigilant and responsible for their children outside of staff hours. This definitely was a big reason for signing up. Now, the terms have been updated at the new location. I understand the reason for safety purposes; however, these were not the terms initially. The owner states this has always been the policy; however, this was not enforced at the pervious location (maybe he was just not aware of this). Furthermore, the posted times are not reasonable - a majority of folks work from 8-4 or 9-5 so the daycare hours are not really helpful. So here's my question, since this is a change after signing the initial contract, would someone be denied to terminate their membership if they desire since this policy will effect some members?

Also, an establishment offering something for free in return for positive reviews is not ethical and definitely not the right way to pursue positive reviews. I'm certain Google does not endorse this method. Maybe this explains some of the recent 5-star reviews that are short and vague. It makes you question the principles of this establishment.

Initial review-

Nice little gym that's very clean. Additionally, staff (not some of the trainers) are friendly, courteous, and helpful even despite the constant staff turnover (not sure what's going on there). Bottom line, no issues to date.

My only complaints are:
1) The lack of enforcement for restacking weights. It's very frustrating having to comb through improperly stacked weight. Signs are posted stating a $10 charge will be incurred for not following directions; however, members seems to just disregard. I know there's cameras - action should be taken.
2) Some of the equipment for the cable machine is worn down - it's not very expensive to replace the triceps ropes.
3) Dumbbells only go up to 125lbs. If you need heavier weight you'll be required to visit another Fit4Life location (as I do, but not ideal) that offers a heavier variety.

Overall, I would recommend the gym. Just make sure to ask questions. Depending on who is going over the details with you when signing up, there's a possibility something will be overlooked. As another reviewer mentioned, if you have USAA sign up through them for the discount. This is a piece of good information the staff overlooks (maybe forgets to mention) when signing up military members.

We took time trying to find a local gym that would meet our needs. We found the Fit4life Spring Lake gym, prior to its relocation, and embraced the small and intimate setting with open ended child hours wherein we were effectively responsible for watching our children during our workout. This was critical despite the fact the gym was further from home than other facilities we had explored. There were frustrations similar to those other reviewers mentioned- ‘hidden’ fees (annual fees never once mentioned at the outset of signing up); a two year commitment; and being overcharged initially (which was subsequently remedied by management). I’ll echo what other reviewers have mentioned by emphasizing the need to read through your contract before signing, as it’s likely that these facets are in small print somewhere within the documentation, but are not highlighted by the staff encouraging you to sign up. For clarity, this is the only location we had planned to use due to proximity.

The new location on 210 is aesthetically pleasing, clean and definitely enticing to new members. What is far less enticing are the laminated signs to leave a five star review in exchange for a free protein shake. Encouraging members to leave a review and providing an incentive to do so is perfectly appropriate and utilized frequently by organizations. It enables members to speak freely and honestly without being penalized if their opinions do not align with those of the facility. Advising members they will only receive an incentive if they leave a five star review is not only dishonest and misleading- it is grossly unethical.

Child care. As previously mentioned, the enticement behind signing up with this facility at the former location was due to not being restricted to childcare hours that do not work for all working parents. We recently learned that with the new location, this is no longer permitted. We were further advised this changed in December but evidently was not disseminated to members. We were advised this was due to liability concerns with having children in the facility without staff watching them. I understand liability. However, we joined the facility and have been tied into a two year contract with a very specific understanding of the amenities. I get that we should always read the fine print and that perhaps in the documentation, all of this may be plainly stated. But it is impossible not to feel misled at this point.

Bottom line, in running a business, transparency and ethics should be at the forefront and I think there are enough reviews to support the argument that these facets are lacking.

Please read the fine print when it comes to contracts. I recently read other people review in regards to trying to cancel and they are all right it is almost impossible to try to. They make you use your email and tell you they can't do anything for you however when you sign up they make sure they do that part so to cancel in my opinion should be the same. Once you try and cancel the curtains come up and you see this gym for it's true self. Just another place trying to lock you into a contract that is unavoidable to escape. Even after talking to the trainers in there they explained the contract to me one way but when I tried to cancel they simply denied telling me that and told me to read my contact. So this gym is convenient to me but as far as getting a personal trainer PLEASE look at these reviews and anything they tell you either RECORD or GET IT IN WRITING because if you try to just go off their word no matter how nice they are you will be out of luck. Please stay safe my friends and avoid these traps at all costs.

Fit4Life is a great gym but this location specifically is not 24/7 access. Apparently from 1:00-1:30p the gym is closed for cleaning?

I managed a gym for 4 years (even in the midst of COVID) and could not imagine kicking out members mid-workout to clean. You work around them and clean throughout the day. That or don’t promote the gym as being 24/7 access.

Some of us do not have the luxury of working out at different times of the day and have a tight schedule.

This facility with the Anderson Creek address is not open 24 hours, it is closed from 1:00 to 1:30 for cleaning. Started closing at this time about 3 weeks after I joined. No notifications. The only reason I joined was for convience and close by home so I could go at my lunch hour. " The staff and gym are nice, but if you have a work schedule and limited time this is not the place for you. Bad management does not consider the paying people when making decisions that pertain to the people.
