I like this place. I like the gym and the machines and whatnot that they have. The locker room is decently maintained. I think that, with all the money being poured into this area, they could definitely afford to give the locker room a little facelift. It's nice enough- doesn't need a full remodel or anything. But could use a fresh coat of paint at the very least.
I absolutely abhor that it closes so early. 9pm feels ridiculous. I understand that retirees make up a large percentage of Brunswick Forest residents, but with more and more development happening, I see plenty of younger folks and families in my area. It doesn't make sense to keep catering these hours to the elderly. Most gyms like these that aren't specialized (compared to those for pilates, boxing, etc) are open 24 hours. Obviously that seems like a bit much, and although I'm sure that I and others would enjoy that, I don't know if the numbers would be large enough to justify staying open overnight, especially since that just feels mean to the staff. But we can't find a middle ground? 11pm? C'mon. 9pm is very unreasonable. Otherwise, I do enjoy this gym and its facilities. I also appreciate that the hand soap is not overly drying or harsh.

This fitness center was disgustingly dirty. We are shopping for our new home, but was turned off when we saw the amenities. Brunswick Forest has to do better. Its 15 yes old and looks every bit of it and more.

I visited for the first time in months and found the front desk understaffed and the facility crowded. The crowding, a long term problem, has kept me away paying for services at other facilities. Use of this gym is restricted to residents of Brunswick Forest and their guests, of course, so fees as such are included in HOA dues. The developer intends to continue adding dwellings with a target of something like 8,000 units (currently we have fewer than 2.000) so the congestion in the gym will most likely increase in the ensuing years.
The facility itself is a basic, plain vanilla gym with barbells, universal type machines, and some aerobic equipment. It's adequate for basic fitness. The Fitness Center also has an indoor pool, hot tub, and a large outdoor pool with an attractive deck area. I use none of these and cannot, therefore, comment on them except to say they look nice.

A a new resident I was surprised to find out I had to pay a 2.00 fee per class. With our HOA dues, I am disappointed this isnt included. Sometimes I would like to do two classes if I have extra time so it just seems rediculous to me. So, I joined 4ever24 fit so for 15.00 a month I can go to unlimited classes with my healthways card.
