Worst gym I have ever been to. I have never visited a gym where there is no water fountain, only bottled water that you are forced to pay for, that is if there is even staff available. The gym equipment is old, rusty and clearly secondhand, the lighting is terrible and there is only one mirror in the entire gym area. If there's one thing I love, it's curling while staring out into a parking lot. A pitiful excuse for a gym and the most unmotivating place to work out I have ever visited

Very fair and reasonable prices and policies. The owners are extremely kind and accommodating. We split our time between Avery county and the Raleigh area - and I’m so glad this place exists. For members, the gym is 24/7 and I’ve never run into crowding issues. The members are kind and respectful of the equipment and space. Maintained and clean its a win for all.

It's a good gym for a small town. Just wish I saw more of the patrons sanitizing the equipment AFTER they stop using it. Even before the pandemic, it's always been gym etiquette. The music blasting when no one is in office, is kind of nerve wrecking not being able to turn it down a bit. Price is a little on the high end and there isn't many locker rooms or any showers at all. It is the only one in the area, so hopefully that'll be an add-on in the future.

I've been going to this gym for the past month or so, as it's the only one in the area, as far as I am aware. But they don't act like it, the owners have a customer service mindset, the equipment is in good shape, they keep it relatively clean, and so far I've been pleased. It's fairly bare bones, as they don't do a lot of the extra amenities that bigger/corporate gyms like to upcharge you for (group fitness classes, spa stuff, etc.), but this is a plus for me. I like that it's 24/7 with key fob access. My only complaints are that the price is on the upper end of what I'd consider reasonable, and I wish the open floor/yoga area was a little more tidy, I'm a little OCD and seeing the mats bunched up in the corner bothers me. But all in all this is a nice gym and I'll be supporting these guys for the foreseeable future.

These young folks are really great I haven’t been there for the last year because of the pandemic but spent three or four months before that. Now I have sprained my ankle and have to wait to go back, but they run a clean well maintained gym. Great machines and free weights. High class gym for Spruce Pine. They are about to move into a new building up the hill from the Hardee’s . I expect it will be even better!

Not the biggest gym, but for the size and variety of equipment it's a fair price I believe. Good options for free weights and exercise machines and some treadmills in the back. The patrons are in general friendly (I never got into a single argument but of course your mileage may vary) and I was never denied a spot if they had a second.

Visited Spruce Pine for family over the weekend. Johnathan went out of his way, stayed late on an un-staffed day to grant me access to the building for Saturday.

Sure it’s the only fitness center in the town, but they have top notch customer service, great equipment and a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. The gym is laid out funky.. seems like they did the best with the room they had. Regardless, one of the best non-chain gyms I’ve been to.
