Ricky Shic is a Certified Master Trainer and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. He is a X2 bodybuilding champion & has over a decade of fitness and personal training experience. Ricky is the owner and operator of the personal training company Fitness For You which helps individuals in the Asheville NC area reach their fitness and body goals. Fitness is a way of life for Ricky and over the past 12 years he has helped thousands achieve the body of fitness & health they have always dreamed of, leading to a lifetime of satisfaction.

Ricky is the best! As an older person with numerous health issues, I needed customized workouts and he's been quite knowledgeable and professional in customizing my training and exercises. If you find group classes do not fit your circumstances, Ricky is the personal trainer you need. His upbeat personality will keep you going and his encouragement will have you doing strength training that you never thought you could accomplish.

Like a lot of people, I’ve battled my weight for most of my life.
Unlike a lot of people, I tipped the scales at over 450 pounds.
The idea of hiring a personal trainer? Honestly, it felt like signing up for both physical pain and awkward pep talks. When you live in a larger body, you don’t just face physical limitations—you also face an Olympic-level sport of dodging judgmental stares and unsolicited “advice.” Most people never even get started.
So when I met Rick for the first time, my brain screamed:
“Nope. Not gonna work. This guy’s energy is way too much. And if he keeps bouncing around like that, I might fling him across the gym.”

I love this guy! Ricky (the owner) has been in the personal training business for over 10 years now. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and fun to be around. While hosting weekly group workout sessions at my apartment complex, I really got to enjoy the community and support on my fitness journey. Everyone wants to be around Ricky; that's just the type of person he is... always smiling, telling funny stories and happily encouraging you through your downfalls and wins while learning about yourself through the journey of personal fitness.
