I was looking to expand my restorative practice beyond yin yoga, grounding, and breathwork, and decided to give QiGong another try. I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant—my previous experience with a different instructor had been a bit harsh and abrupt. But from the moment I stepped into Marie’s class, I was met with such warmth, openness, and calm energy—from both her and the other students.
Practicing with Marie has been a truly wonderful and relaxing experience. We typically practice indoors, but when the weather is nice, we take our movements outside—which adds an even deeper layer of grounding and peace. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to incorporate stillness through movement into our weekly routine, especially when it comes to supporting the nervous system and overall well-being.
I’m overjoyed to have found such a nurturing and convenient studio so close to home. If you’re looking for a holistic, gentle, and powerful way to support your health, I can’t recommend Marie highly enough.

Marie is a superior instructor for Qigong and Yoga! I have attended her classes for almost a year now at both of her locations. I have taken Yoga, Qigong and Tai Chi with Marie. Every class delivers exactly what I need- physically, mentally, spiritually. Marie’s demeanor is so intuitive, caring, and healing. She guides the breath and suggests accommodations if you have limitations. She often provides thoughtful touches like infused water or chilled cloths after a practice. Even without these occasional treats, her lessons are the best value out there! I always come away enriched.

Marie is a fantastic teacher, a wealth of knowledge, easy to follow, very patient, gracious and funny.
I’ve been a student of Marie since April of 22 and love her yoga, Tai Chi and Qigong classes equally.

I have been taking Marie's classes for about two years. I have benefitted from her training tremendously. Her teaching style and encouragement have been so motivating. The paced activities have helped me to improve my balance and endurance. As a lung cancer survivor, the breathing techniques have helped me to increased my lung capacity. The movements and meditation techniques are paced to accommodate everyone. Lastly, the acupressure info and modeling was so interesting and engaging that I now get acupuncture once a month.

Marie's classes are lead gently and simply. The movement and level of comfort is always encouraged to be exactly where you are. These are excellent classes where I learn the art of QiGong, yoga, or Tai Chi with ease and I look forward to the relaxing and soothing atmosphere.

I am a cancer thriver and also have back issues. Marie was recommended to me through Foundation 96. I have never practiced yoga and was unsure if I could do it. I began with chair yoga, which is perfect for me. Marie is an excellent instructor. She guides you through the moves and explains everything as she goes. I love the way I can modify the moves if something is a bit difficult. I have enjoyed it so much that I also participate in her Qigong class. I would highly recommend her classes. I'm sure you will enjoy them as much as I have.

She is very good about teaching the backgrounds of each discipline and also how students can alter their exercises to fit their particular needs. I recently started classes at Flowing River Qigong and Yoga with Marie. I initially found her when I was looking for a weekly yoga class. Over time, she shared information with me about Qigong and its multitude of benefits. I now practice both with her!
Marie is truly the best instructor I've had for yoga. She not only explains the physical side of poses, but also the meaning behind the elements of our practice. She offers modifications and challenges us to push ourselves at times as well.
Marie is so gracious in sharing her vast knowledge of the Qigong and Yoga practices. I greatly appreciate that she focuses on overall wellbeing. I feel so much healthier physically, mentally and spiritually after class with Marie.

I met Marie in 2011 and have been enjoying Qigong & Tai Chi ever since. She is the best encourager, and she explains the anatomy & some history of these practices along with how it aids the body & our many systems. She was an absolute blessing to me when I was recovering from 2 major surgeries in 2013 as she helped me to work through the aches and pains of recovery via mild exercise, breathing & meditation methods. Please give her classes a try you won't be disappointed...only that you didn't do it sooner.

When I first started Marie's classes I hadn't taken a yoga class is ten years. She flows through the poses explaining, modifying and assisting as needed. Some mornings I think I'm to tired (or any other excuse) to go to class. However, when I am done class I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I would recommend trying one of Marie's classes.
