This place is absolutely terrible! We signed up for our first class, which was free and hated it. The instructors do not teach the kids, I was so scared for my child's safety. We tried it, didn't like it and never took my child back! A month and a month later they charged me for 75% of December and for all for January and we have not set our foot back in there since the free class. Please don't go here, shooting stars is MUCH better!

I would not recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to compete on a team level. For the amount you pay in team tuition, travel and fees. Your gymnast isnβt getting the hours, coaching or progression they should be. There is a lot of time spent watching coaches talk, kids looking for direction and overall confusion/chaos and inappropriate responses from coaches to redirect focus. They have the kids perform the skills but lack finesse and fail to shape, and spot the kids. The coaching style is unprofessional. It is not a healthy competitive environment for the gymnast. Most of the coaches are very young and have been training at the gym, turned 16 and have been handed a job. They lack the experience needed to coach. If youβre interested in the recreational side-I know there are not a lot of options for βplayβ for kids in Hickory. If you plan to use this gym for a fun after school activity, I would recommend staying and watching those sessions, the recreational side is ok. Often you can hear coaches or the after school program lead screaming at kids, shouting phrases like βyouβre not trying hard enoughβ. If youβre interested in a competitive program, I would recommend making the drive out of town for your gymnast.

Do not have a Birthday party here only gave kids hour to jump and 30 mins to have the party. They literally make the kids stop jumping and you canβt shorten your party to let the kids jump longer biggest waste of money ever felt rushed and hurried the whole time and half of our family missed the party. Save your money go Chucky cheese or Defy.

Unfortunately, our family did not have a positive experience at Foothills. After 4 years of loyal membership, we experienced inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from one of the new coaches. Our concerns were met with an unsympathetic response and a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of the students. The gym has continued to deteriorate, along with the quality of instruction.

It can be a bit confusing to know where to go the first few times in the building. But the staff are very friendly, and the kids have a great time.

We go to Foothills Gymnastics for their Open Pond and my toddler loves it! The staff is always really friendly and helpful, and my toddler is able to just run and explore. It's an easy and inexpensive place to go to get some of his energy out!

Absolutely amazing. All the coaches are great and really encourage the kids. They let you know at the end of class what should be worked on and what they are doing well in. Very clean and professional throughout.

This place needs help!! I called days before and even filled out the class request that was available on the website, just to show up and tell me that everything is full til next week. I drove 45 mins to bring my little girl. Took her to get a new outfit and everything. She was so happy, she told everyone at her school she was starting. Now you have mad her cry. I got nothing but hate for this business!!! ********* Update your website and get it together. This is the 2nd review Iβve seen about making kids cry.

I coach at another gym, and I was here for a meet this weekend. I lost my keys and all the staff there was amazing and so helpful. They helped me search for my keys, and another coach, Shaun, drove me to get my keys IN HUNTERSVILLE, and all the back to hickory for my car. I am so thankful for this gym and all the staff, youβre all so welcoming and kind! β€οΈ

I took my niece for the first time tonight. She is 4 years. She was placed in a beginners class. Everything was going great until it wasn't. Her coaches seemed very interactive and got my niece to loosen up as she is quite shy at first. During free time she was jumping in the foam pit with several other children, having a great time. I did observe one child throwing foam blocks at other children in the face and head with no correction, this went on for about 10 minutes. My niece jumped off the platform with two other little girls as she had done many times before, however, this time when she was getting out of the pit I observed a staff member yelling at my niece. My niece is very timid and this was her first time so she lost it, crying uncontrollably at this point. I learned that another child was in the pit where she jumped and this teacher was reprimanding my niece, but her tone and body language were very offensive. It was my niece's first experience at gymnastics and Sarah ruined it for her. My niece was so scared she wet herself. There is a wrong and right way to talk to children. I am very displeased and will be seeking another gym for my niece. The other two children who jumped in with her were not corrected either.
