I have never enjoyed working out, until I found Foothills Movement..now I am hooked! The teachers and culture at this studio are inviting, encouraging, and challenging in the best of ways. Most of my classes have been with Fanina -- she is experienced and knowledgeable, ensures you have the right form and provides modifications as needed. She keeps things fun and challenging! Even with committing to just two workouts a week for about five months now, I feel much stronger, confident and look forward to (almost-ha) every class! I have also attended pilates classes with Julia who is amazing as well! Highly recommend for strength, mobility, health, and even community morale/encouragement! Don't delay it any more, book a couple classes to try out today, you won't be sorry.

When I saw the new client deal as well as being encouraged by another client to give it a try, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and joined my first Barre class with Fanina and I do not regret it for one second. She inquired as my level and knowledge with the type of class she was teaching and asked about any physical restrictions or limitations I have. She then helped me to find poses and positions that did not strain my injured back and neck. She was very helpful during the class with helping become more aware of my positioning so I could find the max benefit from the movements. I loved her play list, her energy and the feel of the space. Lots of soft cushy matts on a soft floor along with balls and weights were provided. It was a clean and comfortable space. I cant wait to go back.

I started doing Pilates on Reformer equipment at a different studio in the fall of 2021. When Fanina opened this studio close to home, I was really excited to give it a try. By adding in more mat Pilates and the Barre classes, I’ve really strengthened my core and balance. I’ve seen this directly translate to my hip flexibility, core strength, and balance in the saddle. As an upper middle-aged equestrian keeping ongoing fitness in a way that makes you flexible and strong without causing muscle damage is so important. As an added bonus the studio is beautiful, the classes are reasonably priced, and they keep introducing more types of group classes to enhance the individual Pilates instruction. A super addition to our community!

I have had a 1:1 session with Fanina, I've done two duets & I've also attended a group class. I wanted to give the entire studio an opportunity before writing this review. Each time, I go to foothills I leave happy. My body feels amazing & all the instructors have been just incredible. I can't recommend Julia vinyasa class enough. I'm super inflexible & after just one class I felt a little less tight. I felt present during my time with her & guided. Erin is an incredible pirates instructor & truly has made my core feel stronger each time. Fanina is a master. She reads the body & understands what I need before I do, she's like magician! Can't say enough good things about this studio. It's clean, beautiful & professional.

I’m feeling stronger and taller!! I started with individual/duo sessions, which introduced me to Pilates and helped me understand how to strengthen target muscles, listen to my body, and move through motions with coaching. The group classes are fun and challenging, incorporate feedback on form, and offer alternatives for positions or movements. With expanded space for more classes, my daughter is pumped to start the kids yoga class! What a gift for our community.

It’s been such a joy having the Foothills Studio in Tryon! It’s been such a need for the community and could not recommend this place enough! I absolutely love it. From the group classes to the duet reformer classes! All the instructors are so great to work with and so caring. I’ve been coming to Tryon, NC my entire life and now that my mother lives there full time it’s amazing to know that there is a wonderful Studio to practice yoga and Pilates. I’m so happy to see that Tryon is incorporating different types of businesses and bringing a new energy to the town.
I took a different class everyday that I was there and there was so much range! The classes have the potential to be as gentle as you’d like but also as challenging as you’d like. Fanina is the owner of the studio and she is such a great teacher (all of the teachers are great as well). I had the pleasure of taking group classes and private ones and was super happy with each and every one.

I began working with Fanina 8 years ago. I started doing Pilates just to keep range of motion in my body. That was until Fanina zeroed in on ALL my "irregularites." :) I had broken my femur snow skiing when younger, survived many broken ribs, clavicles and concussions riding my bicycle, sprained ankles and knees from playing basketball every winter, and many "bruises" from other short sighted adventures! I never used to stretch before anything... ever. So, there was a lot to unwind.
Now I am older, 8 more years burning down the road, but my body feels 16 years younger. I had no idea what I had lost when I started with Fanina but I do know what I have recovered since then with her help. Thank you Fanina!

I have been working with Fanina for over 10 years. She helped me regain mobility and confidence after a total hip replacement. I have done pilates on equipment with her as well as barre class and she kept me moving during the Pandemic through Zoom sessions. Fanina is an exceptional teacher and a warm and thoughtful person. She has a deep understanding of bodies and a way of being with you that makes you feel seen and safe. She has worked with me when I've been seriously injured and also when I've been at my strongest and is always able to meet me exactly where I am. Farina was my primary pilates instructor for about 8 years. She helped me get started with pilates and then improve my skills continuously. She saw me through job changes, the pandemic, IVF, and eventual pregnancy. My strength, flexibility, and overall fitness improved dramatically with pilates. You are lucky to have Fanina in your community. She has extensive experience working with body movement and functions as well as body challenges. I have taken her private Pilates class as well as her group classes to include barre, and belly dance! I like how she watches her students during class to be sure they are using proper form. She helped me with flexibility and most importantly making my sessions safe and fun! The barre classes help with flexibility and movement. You cannot ask for a better Pilates Instructor! Be sure to take her belly dance classes when she offers them. Another way to get your body moving and have fun!
