I had completed my Bucket List goal of “learning the Tango before I die” even before I signed up for the social dancing level of instruction. I consider my effort a true success, and the friendliness and support of every person I see at the studio has made it very pleasant as well as worthwhile. I thank you sincerely for your patience and kindness even as I have decided to take no further lessons at this time. I usually suffer some pain the evening after dancing, sometimes quite a  bit.
I entered your studio uncertain and slightly frightened. I was embarrassed at my mobility problems and poor balance. I had spoken with Dasha, I believe, on the phone when I made my first appointment, and Alex talked with me at the conference table after that first lesson. Dima was pleasant and encouraging from the moment we met. His smile and manner are so very warm and accepting. Other dancers and instructors are nearly all friendly when we see each other.
The atmosphere at the studio is always positive and upbeat. Perhaps that is partly due to the music, but I can rarely hear any music myself. Sometimes I can catch the beat, but Dima generally counts for me, “Slow, slow, quick, quick.”
On Friday, May 11th, we practiced one dance in which Dima said nothing. He neither counted nor prompted me out loud. That was amazing. I mean, being able to follow his lead in quiet was an achievement for me and for him as my teacher and partner. He once remarked that I was a good follower after I complimented him on his leading. That felt wonderful.
I cannot thank you and your staff enough for the welcome and encouragement you have given me. When we dance, I feel feminine and more graceful than any other activity I am still able to do. It has been great, and it has done wonders for me.

I had a wonderful experience at FADS Greensboro. Everyone was warm and inviting. Every instructor was kindly working with their students, who were smiling and enjoying their lesson. There were students of different levels, all dancing with joy. My lesson with Dima was incredible. He provided great feedback, pointing out my strengths, building my confidence and comfort. My wife and I recently retired. Learning to Dance was on our list of things to do with our new lives. We have only been attending for 7 or 8 weeks. We love it! We were hesitant at first, but the entire staff is AMAZING! From the very beginning they treated us like family. We were made to feel so welcomed and appreciated. Most of the staff are from Ukraine. They are passionate, sincere and outstanding teachers. My wife and I are both a little shy, but now we dance through the isles of Walgreens and Lowes! Our teachers (Katya and Daniel) have brought so much joy into our lives. In our 30 years of marriage, this is one of the most worthwhile activities we have ever engaged in. I was really nervous at my first lesson since I have no dance experience and this was something very much outside of my comfort zone. My instructor, Maksym, immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable with his easy going nature. He is such an amazing instructor! I'm a tall man in my 40s who has had "two left feet" my whole life. I came across a deal After just a few lessons, my balance was already better. Now I've been going for a year and my balance is the best I've seen in my lifetime.
The instructors are wonderful. The dance studio starts with a set program, but they listen to their students and adjust as you go to put together a program that fits with your goals and your personality.
Optional Friday night dance parties happen about twice a month. Please opt in! You are paired up with other students and experience what dancing with a non-professional dancer is like. At the same time, the instructors are there to give tips and answer questions.
Bonus: The students get to know each other. A large group of us often go out for dinner/drinks after the parties, and we are always excited to include new people in these "after-parties."

Personally, I've never had any interest in dance before, but the Introductory Offer was cheap, I was looking for something new to do, so I said, "why not?" Now I say the same thing to you, "Why not?"

My instructor Oleg was so patient, encouraging and laid-back giving me an undivided attention. The atmosphere was exceptional. My boyfriend and I felt like awkward kids at a prom when we first went. To this day the staff always makes us feel welcome and appreciated. A unexpected side affect is that we have made some great new friends. Having no dance experience at all, we have both come a long way in a short amount of time. The culture is family oriented and very multicultural, which is refreshing. Lessons are not the cheapest yet they are always professional and top notch. You definitely get what you pay for. It’s “Dancing With the Stars” instructor level… like no kidding. Teachers are legit professional dancers who are amazing to just go watch give a lesson. We took dance lessons from Catherine Cameron for our wedding dance on June 12th 2021. Catherine is such a great teacher! She is so nice and knows her stuff. She really listened to us and helped create a dance that worked with our song and what we wanted. She was also very flexible with our schedule. As a long time student I have been especially happy with the talent and attention to detail of the instructors. I especially commend the quality of the showcases and the effort the studio makes to turn out a professional quality production everyone can be proud of.
During the time the studio had to close for Covid restrictions they began teaching Zoom classes as an option and also developed a number of on-line tutorials and activities which have maintained our students' strong sense of community.
At this point both in-studio classes with appropriate precautions and zoom classes are available. Although I prefer in person classes, I have continued to take Zoom classes and find them very helpful and a good value.

I got involved as a participant in the Greensboro Dancing with the Stars fundraiser as a contestant. If they (Catherine) can teach me how to dance and finish a routine that was well presented and received, then they are miracle workers. Overall through all the lessons and practice the environment was friendly and warm and encouraging. Too bad the pandemic has put a crimp on everything, but they are reaching out and trying hard to continue to provide their service. I highly recommend them.

We went to Fred Astaire for wedding lessons, to prepare a special waltz for our wedding. My husband had prior experience with ballroom dancing, I had none, we both had so much fun going to our classes and wowed our wedding guests with our special dance. All of the instructors are very talented, nice, and really seem to care about your experience at the studio. The only downside is the cost, the prices are a bit expensive if you are attending frequently, but they do offer packages and discounts. It was worth the money for our special wedding dance and we'd love to go back there again in the future.

The Fred Astaire Studio--no matter how I feel when I go in, whether I
have some physical pain, or I'm mad or sad, I feel BETTER by the time I leave! The instructors are patient, talented, physically strong, and careful professionals, who are also exceptionally nice, caring people! And it's infectious! All of the students are friendly and nice, too. Personally, I lost about 40# in the first 6 months of lessons--without even trying (and I've lost another 20# since then). Honestly, I LOOK and FEEL better than I did 10-15 years ago! AND I've made new friendships which will last a lifetime. Oh, and did I tell you that it's FUN--the lessons are fun, the practice parties are fun (and sometimes they are costume parties which is even MORE fun!). Altogether, my lessons in ballroom dance at the Fred Astaire Studio have contributed to my health and well-being and to my attitude-- I'm a happier person now.

Great experience learning a new skill!
Although I took only the very intro class (3 private lessons + 1 group lesson) for 25 since I went to a friend's night event, I now know what's ballroom dancing is all about and can do several types of basic dance steps. The group exercise class I had was pretty awesome too. The environment is professional, and instructors are quite patient like other reviews say. I would have taken more lessons to be able to dance beyond basic steps if I were in this area longer. It's a pretty nice place overall.

The instructors and Ball Room Dance lessons at Fred Astaire Love To Dance Studio in Greensboro have changed my life. I have always loved the arts, but never had formal training in Ball Room Dance. When I am dancing with the wonderful, gifted, artist- teachers at LTC studio, the annoying pain of osteoarthritis completely disappears. Honestly, it is addictive! It makes one feel as if she/he is floating around the floor. The experience has been good for body, mind and soul. In addition to being artist-teachers, the instructors are always congenial, happy, encouraging and validating of all our efforts on the dance floor. They make me feel like a million dollars! Each of the instructors always comes to greet every student the moment they arrive at the studio. It isn't just about dance; it is about connecting with their students. The owners of the franchise are constantly working to find creative ways to entertain, teach, encourage and entice all of us to be the BEST DANCER we can be.
