By far the best gym I have EVER been to. The atmosphere when you walk through the door is perfection, immediate “home town” feel. Wide variety of TOP NOTCH equipment, very user friendly, indoor & outdoor workout options, always spotless clean and the staff is second to none. It’s just got “that feel”. If you are looking for a gym to call “home” Genesis Fitness is where it’s at!

Extremely friendly staff and owner. TONS of machines for working many areas of the body. You won't be waiting for a machine to open. They have punching bags, circuit training, free weights etc. staff was extremely helpful and supportive. They have a personal trainer as well to create a plan tailored for you. Extremely glad I found such a great gym with good people that's 24/7!!

Very good environment. A lot of free weights. Bathrooms are clean and a good shower area. They also have a sauna in the bathroom area. The best thing is there's an outdoor area with weights, machines and a heavy bag for hitting.

I have been a member of Genesis for the past two years and if I didn’t have to move I’d be at this gym for life. You get total bang for your buck. No matter what time of the day it’s never too busy. Great environment. Incredible equipment, blows my mind the new upgrades installed what seems to be every couple months. Incredible staff that treats everyone like family. Joe is the man. BEST GYM EVER!

This is by far the best gym in Iredell county, I’d never even think of going anywhere else to get a workout in. The price is unbeatable and the atmosphere is unmatched. The owner is always listening to feedback and constantly making improvements and adding equipment.

I’ve been going to gyms since 1984 and Genesis Fitness is the best. There is a wide array of equipment for every muscle group so your never waiting and trying different ways off lifting keeps things fresh. There’s even an outside covered area with plenty more equipment for those look to exercise outside.
Since they opened there has been a steady flow of new equipment added to the gym including saunas for ladies and mens room.
When something breaks, Joe is Johnny (Joe) on the spot and has things up and working ASAP.
Joe is a wealth of knowledge and has been very helpful with any fitness questions I’ve had regarding diet, exercise execution and posture, and recently I had a shoulder injury and Joe gave me some exercises to do that would help speed up recovery and strength.
I go in the mornings and I have to say that everybody that’s in the morning crowd is extremely friendly and no screaming meatheads.
I highly recommend Genesis Fitness Center

The equipment is plentiful and not usually too packed depending on the time you come in. I highly recommend this gym!

They offer 24/7 access to the gym, which is very convenient.
They also have an outdoor workout area, which is a great addition.
The best part is that the sauna is included in all memberships, which is the only place I found in Statesville with one on site!!

I Was looking for a place to fit my crazy schedule and the 24/7 hours drew me in, little did I expect that even in the off hours that I go (3am)ish the place is always super clean and neat tons of equipment and plates and they are always looking to add new pieces they really do work hard to be the best gym in town and it shows I can’t recommend Genesis fitness enough it’s been a great experience plus the outdoor gym just has this old school get after it feel that I just love! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!

I personally have experienced poor customer service and a sense of unwelcoming vibes from the place. The other gym goers are snobby and the employees are very rude and instead of rectifying situations they throw blame on clients.

Great place, if you don't like older dudes that can lift more than your scrawny teenage son who's currently at soccer practice don't go here. If you like a old school bodybuilder/classic gym environment this is the place to be. All the equipment is metal so ain't nothing plastic wrapped or Planet Fitness purple.

I recently joined this gym after having a bad experience at another local gym in the area. As a woman, I feel it is important to workout in an atmosphere that promotes respect. Joel runs a gym that does precisely that. And the trainer I am working with is very fun and knowledgeable. I have only been here a short time, but I have seen enough to feel confident about my recommendation that Olympic gym is a positive, safe, and awesome place to be.

Just moved down from NY, was dreading having to go a planet fitness but I noticed this place near my apartment. If you're looking for gym with real iron weights, well maintained, and not over crowded this is the spot. Great place to workout!. Was visiting my mother, and didn't want the whole "judgement free" experience. I wanted to lift heavy, make friends and enjoy my workout. Joel runs a great gym. It is well lit, clean, with equipment in good condition. I travel a lot and struggle to find gyms equipped for barbell training. Olympic has a good selection. They also have plenty of dumbells, cardio equipment, and a full circuit of cable strength machines. Their prices are great as well. Avoid the chain gyms and give Olympic a try.
