Is your current gym routine something like this: Begin by dreading going in the first place, show up, get on a treadmill, search for music to try to make it less dreadful, finish the treadmill, walk around searching for motivation, yawn, walk around more (motivation where are you?!), check your watch, grab a pair of dumbbells and hope you don’t hurt yourself, look around wondering if others are judging you, notice that others are also yawning and looking for motivation (except that one person who looks like they’ve lived in the gym for the last 10 years), put the dumbbells down, answer texts, get distracted, go pee, drink a little water, walk around a bit more and then end your workout mostly out of sheer boredom? Same here. Needless to say it was time for a change and boy did I get it here at Glenn Bridge CrossFit.
Seriously though, I don’t think I’ve ever loved any gym until I came here. I’ve tried several other gyms before….the YMCA, The Body Shop, WNC Barbell, Planet Fitness and Orangetheory. Never tried CrossFit before this. Started my journey here through the 6 week challenge to jump start into something new. After 6 weeks it’s helped me lose 5% body fat and gain 2 lbs of muscle (and I wasn’t even as super strict on the diet as I could have been!) The owner and coaches are absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The equipment is clean and well maintained. But the best part is the other members. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging. Never been to a gym where there is so much support and positivity throughout the workout from coaches and members. The workouts are fun, challenging and I leave knowing I worked really hard in that hour. I will never go any place else.
If you’re even remotely curious about this place…..come check it out and give it a chance. This isn’t like your Planet Fitness workout, you won’t be aimlessly wandering around searching for motivation and what exercise you feel like doing next. Frankly, you won’t have time for that because it’s full throttle once that clock starts. All you have to do is show up and do the work that’s laid out for you. It’s easy to stay focused and driven during the workouts and they leave you feeling exhilarated and dead tired at the end (but it’s worth it I promise!). Bonus: you don’t already have to be in shape to join or have any previous gym experience. They’ll teach you everything you need to know!

I thought they were rude, I was not comfortable at all. And as I read thru all of the reviews, which I have a lot of doubts about them being real, everyone that gave 1 star or had something negative to say the owner responds with "you were not at our gym" or "you must have us confused with someone else." I did go to your gym, and I am not confused, nor did I ever work for you (as you stated in another review "it was an x employee trying to ruin your business"). I noticed, on the ad that I clicked on, that it has a countdown timer of the time left to sign up for the 6 week challenge, and it always starts at 14 minutes! No matter if it was the day before or 3 hrs earlier. That is a scam! Then, there is no mention of it costing nearly as much as it does ($500), and yes there are 2 other options... $300 - that you don't get one penny back from, and then $165 a month!!! I paid $22 for a Planet Fitness membership. I think I will stick with it. I just don't want people fooled by these 5 star reviews like I was, just be careful!!

Glenn Bridge CrossFit is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The encouraging staff and overall great atmosphere make tough workouts enjoyable, and I always leave feeling accomplished. With the help of their nutrition program, I revamped my entire diet...which boosted my self confidence even more. I would recommend Glenn Bridge to anyone looking for a well-rounded approach to improving their overall health and fitness!!!

I love it here! I was always hesitant to try crossfit but decided to give it a try with the 6-week challenge. While I knew I had to show up to get my money back, I also kept coming because of how welcoming the coaches are. The coaches always help modify the workout based on your abilities and are very motivating. The dogs that are sometimes there are so sweet and well behaved as well! I am always so much happier after I come for a class and feel more accomplished. I even decided to continue going after my 6 week challenge was up. If you are curious about Crossfit, this is the place to go.

I signed up with my husband to do the 6-week challenge. I had a great experience with the coaches Tracy and Jason. The owner, Momma T, was very welcoming. We worked out with all shapes, sizes and ages. It was just what I needed to jump start my fitness journey. We also met some really nice people along the way. I highly recommend them.

UPDATE: Business reply "I thought we had a great conversation". There was no conversation. Ms. Clement jumped right into her "white board" writing showing it will cost YOU $499 UPFRONT (the VOUCHER) for the 6 wk program. This business, as will all NEW businesses (which this one was) where I have an appt. are notified in advance via email or text the day before that I'll be accompanied by my Service Dog. In the event the business has a dog, it gives them a heads up that another dog with be arriving and they should make arrangements to allow me and my Service Dog SAFE access (Per ADA Requirements).
I've given businesses advanced notifications since 2006.

Geez where to begin. As a courtesy I notified them in advance that at the 1st appt. I'd be accompanied by my Service Dog, a 9 year old Chocolate Labrador Ret. (see pic attached) I had to call when I was at Glen Bridge because the address they gave was incomplete, they left off the suite #. Kinda important info to find a business in a complex. I was pulling up to the front door when we got off the phone so they knew I'd arrived on time for my appt. Their dog was standing at the front door with it's hackles up. I couldn't even get in the door until the dog was put in another room by the owner, Teresa Clement. No apology given. I introduced myself once inside, the owner never introduced herself. Needless to say there was no welcoming feeling from her. On the their Facebook page I had made a post of my experience which was generously polite despite the circumstances. However, Ms. Clement edited my post, altering the true meaning, so it would suit her taste and not reality. She deletes negative comments and edits others. I'm no longer inclined to be polite. How many other posts are being altered? Ms. Clement edits posts to hide the truth about how she treats people and the $500 Motivation you pay upfront. On negative Google reviews she replies that the person must be confused saying they were never at HER gym. Even threatens to have papers served on them, whatever that implies. You can't make this stuff up. As a Google Guide this my honest review and opinion. You'll decide for yourself.

The is the best gym I’ve ever been to. Not only are the coaches nice, but they continue to push you even when you feel as though you’re about to pause for a break, “just a few more!”. This place is animal friendly and child friendly for those of you who have ones that depend on you. They also have their own nutritionist that will help teach you all the foods to eat and stay away from as well as if you have random questions throughout the day. The people that attend classes are very kind and encouraging as well! I’ve been to multiple gyms including 2 CrossFit gyms and this is the one I will be recommending to people!

I tried crossfit once before. I weighed about the same then, but all my joints were five years younger. I got through three workouts that time before I was unable to move and I never went back.

So when I went in for the 21 day challenge I asked a lot of questions and made sure that I wouldn't be on the hook for anything if I accidentally exploded a knee or one of my arms fell off or something. I didn't think I'd get through 21 days.

I got through the 21 days (lost 5% body fat, too!) and am back for more. The coaches are not only willing to accomodate what you can do, but they're super dialed-in during workouts to keep tailoring the exercise as needed. I managed to injure myself and didn't miss a workout - the coaches found ways for me to work the same muscles without pain while I healed.

I even missed a workout in the 21 day challenge because of a flight issue and they extended my trial a few days so I could catch up.

TLDR, I guess: the people are great and they know how to work with people of all different levels of fitness, size, and age. There's very little risk in the 21 day or 6 week challenges, so go give it a shot!

If you need further incentives than looking and feeling better, there is always at least one very friendly dog around, too. Go!

I have always been athletic, like to work out, try new things, but never was satisfied by regular gyms and their personal trainers. Nor did I feel comfortable at gyms with the mass amount of people and waiting for a machine or weights to be available. When I saw the 21 day challenge at Glenn Bridge;

A. I had never done CrossFit before (it looked too intimidating for me) and figured “Why not?! I have tried everything else to get fit!”
B. Wanted to gain muscle and become physically & mentally stronger.
C. Was attracted to the small but comfortable class sizes with a coach.

I can say that Glenn Bridge Crossfit has changed my life! From the beginning I felt welcomed by the coaches, members, Callie (their crossfit pup who is sure to brighten you’re day) and an amazing facility!
During classes the coaches make sure to actually work with you on proper form and motivate you to keep on pushing through, along with the other members. After successfully meeting my goal at the end of the challenge, I saw muscles I had never seen before & feel so much more confident about myself inside and out! I highly recommend Glenn Bridge Crossfit, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a member of Glenn bridge since it opened, and I couldn’t be happier! The workouts are tough, but they are modifiable for injuries or skill level, and I’ve never felt judged by a single other member (hard to do in a CrossFit gym at times)! My skill set and proficiency at Olympic lifts has grown exponentially since I joined, and I couldn’t imagine a better gym community! If you are on the fence about joining Glenn Bridge Crossfit, I highly recommend to get started and join either through their regular membership or one of their challenges. I had been going to gyms for years without any real results, at Glenn Bridge Crossfit I was coached not just on my form but also on my nutrition.

I started at 210 lbs and six weeks later dropped 15lbs; I was provided with a meal plan and diet that is sustainable. I keep losing weight and also feel strong in all the other sports and activities that I do outside of the gym. I will be here for a while!

Amazing place for everyone who does or wants to try CrossFit. The coaches focus on proper form and full reps. I’m happy I signed up for the membership and I enjoy it so much. I really love being a member of Glenn Bridge CrossFit. Everyone there is super knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. The coaches are excellent and make sure that safety comes first. I’ve been going there two months now and have really been able to progress with proper technique and form. And while we do work really hard, we also have a lot of fun! It’s such a warm and friendly staff. And the other patrons are all super nice and helpful. If you’ve always wanted to try CrossFit but maybe felt a little intimidated then this is the place to go. You won’t regret it!

The coaches at Glenn Bridge are absolutely amazing and have changed my ability to work out in an efficient way. I have always been an athlete, but more geared towards outdoor activities which required endurance, but not as much strength. Through the pandemic, I felt like I lost all of my athletic abilities, and the coaches at GB pushed and guided me to learn effective ways to increase endurance and strength. In just 3 weeks I lost body fat and gained a significant amount of muscle. The community at GB is awesome and everyone there really cheers each other on. If you're thinking about it- go for it.. You won't be disappointed!!

Best Crossfit gym in Asheville area! Looking for a Crossfit gym? Look no further than Glenn Bridge Crossfit. The staff is well trained, friendly, and very encouraging. It's almost impossible to understate the positive effect Glemm Bridge Crossfit has had on my life. I recently turned thirty, and with all that's happened during the pandemic, I began to feel as if life just... happened to me. I was not an active participant, and my depression was worsening. Glenn Bridge's coaches showed me that wasn't true. I always wanted to try Crossfit but I was too scared. I've heard horror stories about people getting badly injured. I thought it to be for a certain type of person, a more athletic person. People told me, you can't do that, it's only for athletes. Turns out they couldn't have been more wrong!
I saw a challenge for Glenn Bridge on my Facebook feed so I checked into it....THE BEST decision I have ever made!! Nothing to be scared of! The coaches are top notch! Knowledgeable and supportive. They all want you to succeed at this as much as you want to succeed at this. They focus on proper technique. They don't expect you to walk in and know everything right away. They break down the movements and give you progressions to help you to build to each workout. They even check in on you when you've missed a couple of days. When you are at our gym, you don't have compete with the person next to you, just the person you were yesterday. We all cheer each other on to finish each workout strong and push each other to perform at our best. I'm doing things I never thought I could! For example, holding a plank for 30 seconds without dropping a knee. However, a small feet, it's a huge one for me! I still have so much to learn and such a long way to go but with this group by my side, I can and I will get to where I ultimately want to be!
I have gained 5 pounds of muscle, lost 2 dress sizes, gained a family and lost so many of my insecurities. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY GYM!! I urge anyone who is looking to make a change in your life, check us out. Don't be scared! You will not regret joining Glenn Bridge Crossfit.

On January 18th, I walked into Glenn Bridge CrossFit with no idea what to expect. I have worked out before, I’ve dabbled in CrossFit, I played sports my whole life... but this. This felt different. 2020 did a number on me (like it did for most people). I went from working 60+ hours a week at a job I’d been at for 6 years to basically nothing. I started working 3 jobs to make up for lost time and I was miserable. In early January I saw an ad for the six week challenge and on a whim I decided to sign up. None of the times for a consultation works for me so Teresa worked with me to make sure I could get in there and then they worked even faster to make sure I could start by the 18th. Tracy worked with me to give me a meal plan that would help me see results, and from that point on I went from eating fast food 2 to 3 times a day to hardly ever. I still struggle from time to time, but the difference I’ve seen in myself has made me make better choices all around. I walked in on January 18th as the only one in class and Jason welcomed me with open arms. He pushed me, he challenged me, he did the workout with me. Galen who is hardly ever there when I’m there always greets me by name. They answer any and every question I have and have made me feel like part of the family. Because of the small class sizes I am always able to work on my form and they ensure I’m doing it correctly each and every time. I actually look forward to going to the gym week after week. I signed up for a year and for the first time in my life I plan to stick to that. I’m to a point that I truly don’t care what the scale says because I feel 100% better than I did just 2 months ago, and while I know that I’m losing weight... I’m gaining so much more than that. . Glenn Bridge, You’ve given me a new outlook on life. A new perspective. You’ve changed my life for the better. Thank you.

So took the 6 week challenge. With the help of the coaches, I was able to complete my goals. That led me to go ahead and sign up for the year and I even got my wife to join up too. I love the results that I'm seeing in myself which so far supersedes any other program I've done including P90X and Planet Fitness. I have had no injuries based on a dedication to form, which is really important to the great staff here. I may be 53, but I feel, look and workout like I'm a lot younger. Thank you staff for all of your guidance and support. And thanks to my fellow crossfitters who encourage me as I have encouraged them.

I started the six weeks challenge at Glenn Bridge CrossFit for mostly the same reason everyone else does....I was physically out of shape and nothing was really working for me. I also started the challenge for my mental health. After my wife suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, I found it challenging to find something to be happy about. In just a couple of weeks, Glenn Bridge changed my physical and mental wellbeing.

From my initial consultation with Teresa, (Momma T.) the owner, I felt I was in the right place. After my initial nutrition consultation with Tracy, I was absolutely certain I was in the right place and comitted to the Crossfit plan.

During my first weigh in, two weeks after starting the six weeks challenge, I had lost 15 pounds and 4% body fat. It should go without saying...I found something to be happy about! Five weeks into the challenge I had lost nearly 25 pounds, 7% body fat and 4 inches from my waist. As equally important, my state of mind changed.

The staff at GB are supportive and encouraging. They take pride in seeing everyone successful at their own unique level. The members at GB are also supportive and encouraging. If you are reading this review and trying to decide if it's right for you, I can only suggest, stop reading and make an appointment to go visit Teresa and her awesome staff.

I'm currently having to take a break from crossfit and Glenn Bridge for other personal reasons, but, without a doubt, I will return to Glenn Bridge CrossFit once this personal matter is resolved.

I just completed the 21 day challenge and I was very impressed with how well I did. The classed were fun and informative. The coaches took the time to really make sure I had good form and knew what I was doing. In a short amount of time I felt so much better physically and mentally. The meal planning and change of diet was just what I needed to kick my body into gear. 21 days of work=1 pant size smaller and 6 pounds/3% body fat lost. Thanks to Traci for keeping me accountable and all the other coaches for their positive encouragement.

I am 5 weeks into my "6 week challenge" and I can't say enough good things about this place. The one on one training helped me learn proper technique to prevent injury and transition into the group classes. The coaches and other members are very encouraging and welcoming and are your personal cheerleaders when you reach a goal. They also have a health and wellness coach who helps you with your nutrition goals by offering sample meal plans, recipes, and goals personalized based on your metabolism. If your goal is to lose weight or get stronger or have more energy or just need some you time I would recommend choosing this place.
