This is the worst golds gym I’ve ever been associated with. Machines are constantly broken. Bathrooms are full of trash. I’ve called three times to cancel my subscription and they tell me I have to come in person to do it.There are a lot of places to work out in town. I would definitely go somewhere else than here.

My family and I have been coming to this gym for well over a decade now. I have never seen the workout area as clean as it is now. Luke, Jeslyn, Sam (who is the manager) and the rest are constantly cleaning the workout machines in detail and making sure the main areas are mopped daily. I love the staff and they treat all who enter with a greeting, eye contact and respect. I feel like I have an extended family here with the caring staff as well as my friends made in the time I earned being there. I would encourage anyone looking to feel better about themselves to come check us out and be apart of something that will improve yourself and your daily outlook about life.

Great equipment, friendly staff, good environment. Love the kids club but the caregiver to child ratio at times worries me. Recently there was a 1:8 ratio (caregiver to children) and three of the children definitely appeared to be under the age of one. The lady watching them was fantastic but there is no way that is a safe environment for more than a few minutes at a time . NC laws state the ratio be no more than 1caregiver to 5 children (being that young). With that being said the gym either needs to have a second caregiver in the room or have a max capacity.

Great gym with state of the art equipment, workers, and management. The young man working at 12:00 on 3/9/2024 did a great job and was very professional. Very consistent with greeting guests and kept up with cleanliness of the facility! Love Gold's in Albemarle!

This gym is wonderful. Plenty of room and plenty of equipment. The turf area is fantastic, especially with the 2 red sleds they have. A vast amount of treadmills upstairs and more cardio equipment on the 1st floor. Overall, it’s a solid gym. Plus the manager is wonderful and displays a warm, professional customer service. Selfless work ethic and willing to help you out any way he can.

I give 5 stars because I love this place. I can't sleep at night so I go to the gym at like 2-3 am and it's so peaceful. However work is needed the locker rooms and not the best but I can work with it. The staff are amazing very friendly and Knowledgeable.

It's so nice. Being a parent and having child care is fantastic. It's clean, the staff is very nice and you have a great selection of equipment. My only complaint...its way too quiet for serious lifters. You've got to let out some grunts and stuff!

Great gym, been going for around 6 months. Has everything I want and need. Staff and owner are friendly and provide great service and help when you need it. All around very worth it for my money. My family and I loved Gold's Gym!! The atmosphere was great, great workers and facility!! We go to a different gym now only because it was cheaper for our family, not because we didn't like it. I absolutely love this gym! I've been to others and never get an experience like I have with this one. Dallas is always so friendly and personable when I walk in the door. Ben is always attentive to all guests, helping in anyway he can with a constant smile on his face. There are more than enough free weights and you will never wait for a treadmill. Kacey, always being nice to look at, makes my gym experience a total pleasure :) If you are looking for personal training, Bartraius is the man to see.

Recently became a member of Gold's Gym and currently participating in the pilates and yoga classes on tues and thurs mornings. Also stretch and strength classes have benefited me as well. Hats off, to the instructors!

Friendly front desk staff. Large selection of machines, free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, row machines, etc. They recently got new equipment in. They also offer classes such as Zuma, spinning, yoga, etc. that are included in your membership. They even have a smoothie/juice bar for your pre or post-workout drink. I have noticed a big difference since I joined; it is nice to have a place to go workout during lunch close to work. Stop by and ask for a free trial. Tell them Matthew Smith referred you!

I was in Albermarle for 2 days and needed a gym so I called Gold's. They offered $8/day passes so I paid the $16. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The weights side of things is great...plenty of benches, 2 squat racks, lots of free weights with plenty of space. The cardio side...not so much. The first 2 ellipticals were broken, only one of the t.v. connections worked, the machines were dirty...but I got by for my 30 minutes on a treadmill. The bathroom/locker room was dirty, no hand towels...

So in a pinch if you need to get a workout in I would recommend it. When I come back I will use it again, but if I was a paying member I wouldn't be happy.

My experience at Gold's Gym has always been a great one, having been a member there for four years, I wouldn't choose any other gym. One thing that really drew me to this gym besides the nice machines were the spotless bathroom facilities, great sauna room, tanning beds, smoothie bar, and not to mention the full-sized basketball court. Not only does the Albemarle location have great setup, the staff are all very friendly and many know the clients by name. Even though it is meant to be a serious atmosphere for working out, Gold's Gym in Albemarle provides safe, warm, environment not typically found at other gyms. Not to mention, the Albemarle location offers a Kid's Club for those with young children that need to be supervised while parents workout. I have heard from many parents there kids enjoy their time with the staff everyday and it's "such a nice getaway". Overall, Gold's Gym at the Albemarle location has everything you need: a nice facility, excellent staff, and overall a great atmosphere. I always look forward to getting in my workout for the day (rare, I know :)) because of the great place Gold's Gym has become for me.

After having 3 kids, I was significantly out of shape. I'm down 15 pounds and am now able to run 4 miles without stopping.

I would like to highlight Ms. Lily in childcare. She's always so pleasant and friendly. When she is there I feel like I'm leaving my boys with family.

All the staff has been wonderful and I am so happy to have found a gym that I really love!!

Gold's Gym Albemarle is a great place to work on your physical fitness! When you walk in the door the staff is always very friendly with smiles on their faces. The workout classes are fun and the instructors are excellent. There is also a basketball court that I always see people utilizing. There is plenty of muscle strengthening and cardiovascular equipment and I rarely find myself having to wait to use something. The staff makes great protein shakes as well!! I really enjoy coming to this gym after a long day at work to relieve my stress from the day... it's just a great place all around!

I have been a member since the beginning. Great hours since I am an early riser. I use the aerobic equipment and they are maintained well and I never have to wait.
