So many things to say about this place. Air conditioner does not work adequately especially when hosting hundreds of spectators and sports players. If the spectators are burning up, you know for sure the players are burning up.There is not enough adequate parking. They do not have people directing traffic for parking. Absolutely no assistance at all with directing traffic or parking people in the gravel/grassy lot. The concessions are lacking and took an hour to get food. If you’re going to host large events, you should have adequately staffed facilities. The bathrooms were decently clean and about 20 to 30° cooler than the rest of the facility. However, there were only four toilets for the entire event. Paper towels run out very quickly. Fortunately, I didn’t notice Toilet paper run out while I was there, but could have since I only visited the bathroom twice. Again, don’t volunteer to host events if you can’t handle the crowd.

Came for a large volleyball tournament. As mentioned previously, bathroom situation is bad, parking is horrible and uncontrolled, and told we couldn’t bring any bags/backpacks and no coolers or outside food/beverages allowed. If you’re going to have such a ridiculous policy then you better be able to handle the volume of people and they cannot. Waited in line for approximately 25 minutes for a coffee and breakfast biscuit (that is cooked/heated up in the microwave) and had to wait another 20 minutes for my sandwich. Unbelievable! This on top of the $30 weekend pass that the tournament charges for two day tournament. Poorly organized.

We were there for the GSO HomeShow. We were vendors and didn't expect the attendance to be so low. It was good, don't get me wrong, but the facility wasn't what I had expected. The facility was huge. The facility had 3 rows of vendors, not enough to occupy 25% of the facility. The vendors were advertising windows, roofs, kitchens, and bathrooms remodeling (lots of bathroom). I am a local business, so it was good for me to get my name "The Critter Gitter" out there.
I don't know during the week that occupancy is with the as far as events/activities. The bathrooms need updating. The men's locker/bathroom had 2 showers and 2 commodes no urinals. There was a time I had to wait a long while.
The staff was on the spot when I informed them one of the paper towel Dispensers was empty. They took care of it immediately.

We’re at the Greensboro Sportsplex for the Beast of the East girls NCAA sanctioned travel basketball tournament this weekend and for the price that was charged for admission $25/day or $70/all weekend for adults and $20/tournament pass for 10 and under and $495 a team to play and you enter this place and think it’s a decent facility for a tournament of this caliber to have games, but on your first visit to any restroom in the facility and you will change your mind. A couple 100 people at a time inside from open to close and they have 4 bathrooms for women that rarely had toilet paper or paper towels and no soap and poop smeared on the walls since Friday evening that is still there at 8:00pm Saturday night.
As for the basketball courts and hosting a basketball tournament all you have to do is visit court 2 and you will quickly notice the extremely crooked rims on both ends but one rim literally has a 1inch gap between part of the rim and backboard with wet spots on the court from the roof leaking and we were told that their was a walkthrough Friday morning and every court was up to standards, so apparently at an all girls tournament and from Friday morning to10hrs later Friday evening the rims got bent from dunking and hanging on them. Take your team to play as far away as possible from Greensboro Sportsplex.

We were only here for the Phoenix Invitational Basketball Tournament weekend. Otherwise this isn’t someplace I would regularly visit. Enormous warehouse size building, practically no windows. Parking was a nightmare but at least there was enough of it throughout the day.

Acoustically the inside of this place is ear popping loud. No noise dampening at all. So wear ear plugs or have some kind of ear protection if you’re here for a large and crowded event. Your ears will thank you.

This had 8 basketball courts set up. Bleachers were arranged near every court but there’s very little space to stand or walk around. So people are always walking in front of the bleachers. We spent most of our time at court 8 which is way in the back on the very left of the building entrance. We had to walk in front of bleachers and down the sidelines to get there.

Bathrooms stayed relatively clean and stocked the two days we were there. There weren’t any food trucks outside. There are vending machines inside with water and electrolyte drinks. It was $20 per person per day to get in this tournament. The staff made sure there were no long lines to get in and they set up a traffic flow to make it easy to exit. Overall this is a great location to have a tournament of this size. It was obvious the facility and the staff were prepared for it and had the experience to handle the crowds.

I would like to say this place used to show respect to the hockey rink. And also the place used to be very organized layout. Now I see sloppy set up for the replacement of the used to be gymnastics area to volley ball and then a sloppy setup for weight lifting equipment with boxes everywhere. In addition, no one cleans the dust off of the rink floor and also pile up random sports equipment with tubs and its filled up all the locker rooms and there's only 2 locker rooms now before there was 4. And we had to literally change out of our clothes outside the locker room in public, so privacy and the people up front don't show much interest in assisting you and show any care for hockey. Overall we have one guy who coordinates hockey who is great. But the greensboro sports plex in general does not show much compassion for hockey and its sad very disappointing how the organization of sport complex has gone down hill. It seems they are miking anything that will come through. I give respect to the hockey organizers who do their best to get things picked up, but the sports plex needs to get their act together. It's like the organization is trying to push out hockey and there's already enough basketball courts and soccer fields. I hope to see things pick up again and see more interest for the hockey program and also the hockey area. But the soccer areas are nice and basketball courts along with volleyball area. Just the hockey area needs more TLC. This is from someone who's been playing at the Greensboro sportsplex ever since it opened and want to see good progress and continue the passion from when it first opened. It's not much to ask and why not show more interest there are a good amount of people who wants this place to be the place to play hockey. This is my honest feedback and just positive suggestions to make this place more sports with sports equally.

Great place to have a little Fall 🏀! Clean very well ran facility. Gate keepers (women) taking the entrance money always gracious and pleasant. Hard not catch a little whiplash with all the games going on. Great talent, and each girl plays exceptional basketball. Any college looking won't be disappointed. Don't mind the rude parents,Aunts, uncles, side coaches, etc. Sports is not for the weak because baby the mouths on these sideline grown folks be a hot mess! Religions be lost if a wrong call is made or someone defense should little too handsy! Had an altercation in the stands, but hey, it's sports, and the passion is 👊🏽👊🏽🤣🤣!

Worst organization I’ve ever been to. Disrespectful employees. The boss is stuck up and only cares about money. The rules change every week. If you call you’ll get a different answer than if you ask in person. Called and asked about soccer, employee on phone said it was open to play at 7-9, drove 30 minutes to play, once we got there we weren’t allowed to play because they claimed open play stopped happening on friday. This has happened on three separate occasions.

We attended the large event for volleyball this past weekend. By 11:00 a.m. Saturday the women’s bathrooms were out of toilet tissue. There were hundreds of people in attendance for this weekend tournament (from near and far) and the bathroom facilities were not sufficient or suitable for a mass crowd weekend event. Restroom maintenance employees should be hired for these large events. The condition of the bathrooms were reported but no one restocked the bathrooms.

Not impressed with the Greensboro Park and Rec. You should not host an athletic event with 100s of people and not have at least one medical person present. A player was seriously injured during my daughter's volleyball match yesterday. There were no EMT or AT present. If it wasn't for a fireman parent and a paramedic parent from another team, she would not have received the immediate aid she needed as it took the ambulance over 30 minutes to arrive. Do better!

I have never been to a tournament location before with half of the bathrooms closed during a tournament weekend. Reason given is so that people would not hang out by the bathroom. This only led to a constant line and a 15 minute wait for a single bathroom. The snack bar wasn't open either. We have been to a few different sports venues during covid and this one was definitely the worst.

This facility use to be a nice place to visit, however this has been my first visit in a long time. This visit I encountered 3 different individuals. The first was a man who was taking payments, a girl I'm assuming employed by the summer program, and lastly a patron/coach. Upon entering there was nothing friendly or inviting about the facility except for the kids playing. Every employee at the front desk was sort of doing their own thing. There was a basketball that got stuck in the netting, I proceeded to bring it to their attention and was brushed off. It wasn't until the patron/coach said something about dust on the floor did they take any action. I was told initially to 'leave it there'. After the patron/coach told them about the netting, they wheeled out a ladder and pushed the netting back, the same thing they could have use to get the personal basketball. I understand that it is hot and that these persons may have been ready for their shifts to end, but disrespect will not be tolerated and I will make sure I do not spend another dime in this facility and also spread the word to others I know spend money here weekly!!! Greensboro once had this facility to look forward to going to, now it is on the lower totem pole! GET IT TOGETHER SPORTSPLEX & REMEMBER IT IS NEVER OK TO CURSE IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!! I guess it is safe to assume these individuals are the cause of loss revenue as it is 2pm on a Tuesday and the gymnasium is EMPTY!!!

This place stinks. Try to avoid at all costs. Parking is completely insufficient, and the seating is, too. We spent the weekend here for a volleyball tournament, and the conditions inside were filthy (fuzz and hair balls all over the floor). The temperature is poorly controlled and unbearablely hot. In addition, as if the place wasn’t over crowded enough, they had a men’s soccer league playing inside as well.
The only positive is the concession stand. The sandwiches and drinks were served by really nice ladies.
