Worst experience last summer! The director lady was so rude and called the police for reading a book in the parking lot in my van while I was a member. She gave me a hard time even though I was a homeless veteran! They don't like outsiders!! Period!

My is name Donald davis I am 62 disabled(PTSD) veteran who play pickleball at the Y. The older white lady lifeguard walk up to me while I was filling my water bottle, while right behind her was people in the pool. To tell me I can't come back in here to fill my water bottle but to go in the hallway next to the man locker room. An her tone of voice i was about to call my daughter to talk to her the same way she was talking to me in front of people. It's a right way about doing thing an a wrong way. An I'm not the 1st person who had a run In with this person. I buy bottles of water when I go to the Y but on this day I forgot my money, plus I seen people leave the weight room an take that door right next to them an drink water out there water bottle an talking to the same lifeguard who told me i CAN'T USE THE WATER FOUNTAIN.

I recently visited the Family Y located at 380 Ruin Creek Rd in Henderson, NC, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly atmosphere that set a positive tone for my visit.

What stood out the most was the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Mrs. Tesa. She was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to assist me with my inquiries. The lack of adults who take accountability caused me to remove my grandson from the afterschool program. He was constantly being bullied with adults present. So, who is protecting the children in these situatiins? I respectfully decline to continue this program for the physical and mental health of my grandson. This is not what we signed up for. The three stars are there because the rest of the establishment are very helpful to families and individuals.

Older attendant keeps changing the rules. Once before 8 yr old in pool. Has on floatie. Told next time I have to be in pool with child as she can't swim. Next visit older red head doesn't want kids splashing. They must start my end of pool. They can all swim. No aerobic class she's just doing exercises alone. Last time red head complains again. Kids told to stay at my end of pool. Two can swim one has on floatie. I'm supposed to be in water with them. Why can't they swim past red head, why doesn't she do to the other end. Why am I paying for my guests if they're restricted. What is the lifeguard for?

My 11 year old played soccer this year and the 2 men who stepped up and helped coach the team (original coach didn't show) did a terrific job with the kids and she had a fun time while I got a bit of a break while watching her. I can't say anything better about them helping those kids learn the fundamentals of the game at such a young age

I go the as a place to excerise. My husband and I use the outdoor track everyday. The indoor pool is great and there are a lot of exercise programs in the pool. Nice exercise equipment. There's a hot tub, a sauna and my favorite the steam room. I would recommend the YMCA to others including my friends

Took my granddaughter swimming there several times. She loves it and the lifeguards there are the best. Everyone that works there enjoy their jobs and helping others. I retired here from Wisconsin and the employees there were helpful but always rushed through explainations. In the city, no one has the time or takes the time. Here things are at a slower more enjoyable pace. I love being back in my home state.

I work in Henderson I've used the YMCA here a couple of times the gym isn't bad. I enjoy the outdoor track and the tires that all in the field they make for an excellent outdoor workout. The Gym is okay I would recommend a couple of things. One I think that the gym should add free weight to the weight room they would been more with this selection. Two I think they should get a squat rack and an actual benchpress station or a smith machine. Lastly adding resistance bands and other equipment like medicine ball would surely improve the gym.

The last six months this place has been under construction. The pool was suppose to be closed for two months it's going on six. Every time you call for an update they tell you one thing then change it as soon as that date is reached. I called them weds and asked about the pool they said it would be done with construction on Friday and they need to fill it so a few days to clean and fill it. Called today Monday it's now going to be another two weeks before they are done with construction. Meanwhile everybody is paying full membership price because they can't get an exact date. The only option they give you is go to aycock who has very few open pool hours or drive 40 miles to another YMCA. I feel like I have been ripped off the last six months. If I knew it was going to be six months I would have suspended my membership. dont pay for a membership until the pool is open the staff is nice so it's not there fault it's management. They could have emailed the customers and give them a status update but the only way to find out is to go up there or call to find anything out just paid at aycock for use of the pool.
